[Audyssey] Materia Magica Scripts
Hi, I recently started playing Materia Magica, and was wondering if there were any scripts for VipMud on it. I found some information on the Order of Chaos website, but could not find a link to download any of them. Any information or help will be appreciated. Thanks. I'd recommend it. also, while i'd use vip mud for most things, the soundpack actually makes the game far more like an audio game than a mud, especially with all the extra triggers and functions added to make playing a screen reader easier, so I use mush for that. Hi. A friend of mine from the audiogames.net forum has also just started playing. While I've not done much in the game, I have at least finished a good few quests in the newby area, which you get booted out of at level 10 whether you've finished the quests or not. [Audyssey] Materia magica
Hi. Well as my vip mud stats display problem has now been fixed thanks to Cx2 of the audeasy list (it turns out there was a way to fix it with scripting commands), I'm playing mm again, and feeling a trifle lost. So, my character, the dwarven paladin Krandok is off adventuring again! If i remember rightly, there were some very experienced mm players around here including Kelly, so any advice would be appreciated. I did all the quests in the village save the multiplayer one, but would like to get going with the game now. At the moment I'm wandering around Rune forest feeling a trifle loss. Any advice, help, or in game assistance would be appreciated. [Audyssey] Materia magica info
Hi. Well I've restarted, and have got two of the marks in Lasler, though I admit it wasn't easy. I've also had my first go at fighting the crab in formation, which was okay accept for the fact I kept getting slaughtered. I'll be looking for the next bit, sinse I've only got two more levels to go before I get the boot. the only real trouble i'm having, is knowing precisely what sort of state I'm in during battle. There's o hitpoint display or similar. According to others in the game there should be a bar, but I don't see any numbers at all with Vip mud. The only settings i've turned off are automap and compass, but I stil don't see my character's status. Any advice? Beware the Grue! Hi there Chris, Well, this special text you are refering to is your prompt. In a mud, a prompt will let you know what your various stats such as hitpoints mana points, in the case, spell points, and endurence or stamina points are. So when you see 20 hp 20sp 20st that means you have 20 hitpoints, 20 spell casting points, and 20 stamina points for moving around. In my opinion, although there are ways to customize your prompt, you don't want to get rid of it altogether, because if you do then you will not be able to see your health status or your spell points left for casting magic spells. What I do is set a trigger up in vipmud to gage the prompt, but keep all those numbers in variables that can be spoken with a some keystrokes while I am in the mud. I am on my way out the door right now for work, but when I get home, and if nobody else has replied to you, I will write up something explaining how to do this. If you feel adventurous, check out the section in the vipmud documentation about triggers, and how to assign variables to parts of the triggers using the & character, otherwise known as the and wildcard character. Well, you can also solo on a mud, so you are basically playing on your own. That is, depending on the mud anyway. Hi Nick You can play muds on your own infact you have to play them on your own unless you have more than one computer so you can play with friends.
