Re: [Audyssey] AGM question, please refresh memory

2007-08-10 Thread Ron Schamerhorn
Hi all

Wondering also if someone can refresh my memory on how to get the speech
output to work? It was changing a 0 to a 1 but I don't recall where I'm
supposed to make that switch. Hard to check it out if it isn't making
noise! *grin*

Subject: [Audyssey] AGM question, please refresh memory

Hi all,
Somebody recently posted a solution for how to get an item to not make its
default sound once the player picks it up. Could you fresh my memory on how
you did that? I tried using a trigger but either that's not the key or I
didn't set something properly. Any help would be appreciated. I need this
fix for my Adventure game.

There are various text files in the AGM data directory, one of them is
soundPorts this is the one you are looking for I think,
another is SoundBuffer and you might want to set it to 20 or 30,
finally there is one called SapiSettings, you can change the sapi voice
with this one.

Hi Che

Thanks muchly! That's got it working. I am happy to say it seems to be
running fine here though I've done nothing more then look at the menus.
Thanks for the heads up on that. Now time to read the manual or whatever
and see what's possible.

Thanks
Ron

Re: [Audyssey] AGM question, please refresh memory

2007-08-10 Thread Dakotah Rickard
Hi.

In the item sword, set the reaction Picked up in quotes, to change
the property of the item sword default sound also in quotes, to
none. In other words, when the sword is picked up, that action
triggers the sword to change its own default sound to none.

Make sense?
