I love how the subconscious mind continues to work on something after you've 
tried to put it out of your mind.  :-)  I just figured out who the woman with 
her granddaughter was... my daughter's 5th grade teacher!

Funny story about that dear lady:  When we moved to Jax from Mecca, I took 
Jessica to enroll in 5th grade.  Her teacher was this lady.  Upon hearing that 
we had just moved from Gainesville and that I had just graduated from UF, she 
said, "Oh, you're in the right class then.  I'm the biggest Gator fan in 
Jacksonville!"  My daughter - cheeky little monkey that she was - piped up 
immediately, "Not any more... not now that my mom is here!"  LOL.

I just sent the pic to Jess and said, "Maybe Mrs. B really IS the biggest Gator 
fan in Jacksonville.  I certainly didn't stand in line at the mall and fork 
over $75 to have my picture taken with Tim Tebow!"  ;-)

Actually, I believe the pictures were only $75 a pop, where the autographs were 
$160.

I would rather have the picture than the autograph myself!  The reason the 
autos are so much is because of the ridiculous autograph resale market out 
there (also why there was an "upcharge" for inscriptions like "2007 Heisman 
Winner" or "2006 & 2008 National Champs" but no extra charge for adding your 
name or a bible verse to the autograph.  Putting "To [insert name here ]" on an 
autographed item actually DE-values it on the resale market, and clearly 
indicates you want it for yourself, anyway.

Exactly - I would take all those pictures for only $100 each.  
 
If I were a good dad - I would have driven my younger daughter, who loves Tim Tebow, down to Jacksonville, paid the outrageous fee, and had her picture made with him.  
 
But since I'm a crummy dad - I don't have to worry about crap like that ...
