I seem to recall reading, in an article posted here recently, that Miami announced several of their new coaches and received special dispensation from the NCAA for them to recruit now even though they don't officially start until after the bowl game. I don't see why we couldn't do the same. It's not hurting us yet. You are allowed to have 9 assistant coaches and right now, those 9 are preparing our team for the Outback bowl. I believe he is probably waiting on coaches that currently have jobs and have teams in bowl games, therefore he has to wait until their season's are over. The reasons its not hurting yet: - Up to this point the focus has been on keeping our currently committed players in the fold, to a large extent this has been successful - Starting tomorrow it is a recruiting dead period until January 3rd - There seems to be a larger than usual number of coaching changes this year.
