g_b Are You Giving Up?

2005-03-26 Thread coffebeans2002

Are You Giving Up?
by Steve Rubin

What torment for a woman to give birth to a child afflicted at birth
with what doctors call "challenges". Uniformly advised by doctors
that she had to institutionalize the child, she said, "No way".
Disruptive and self-destructive, he couldn't even be hugged or
kissed. The only answers her doctors and specialists kept providing
were choices she wouldn't consider. So, she kept him at home.

He was so disruptive at school that he was thrown out. Permanently.
Then another school expelled him... and another. His speech defect,
and the flat feet which excluded him from athletic pursuits, and the
mocking of the other kids, all added up to a ton of pain. He was
eventually kicked out of seventeen schools. What hope for a
productive future can such a child's parent expect?

At a private Swiss school, he discovered a fascination with, and
love of, art. It calmed him considerably.

Back in the States, with a family of his own to feed, he struggled
and struggled. He even wrote a screenplay that attracted interest.
Broke as can be, he actually turned down a whopping $250,000 for the
script, because the buyers wanted the script outright. He, on the
other hand, refused to let go of the script unless he could also
direct the movie!! Wait, it gets better: AND, he wanted to star in
it, too! Know for sure that you've got to have a dream if you're
going to make a dream come true. Put a date on it, and it's not a
dream anymore. It's now called a goal. At 20 million dollars per
movie, the guy who we know as "Rocky" is doing pretty well for
himself. Is he smarter than you? Better connected? Nope. He had a
desired destination, and a map for getting there. Take a desire; put
a deadline on it. Now it's a goal.

It is the most concise explanation of how computers work; how the
human brain and system work: with goals. The fancy word
is 'cybernetics'. A dream with a deadline is a goal. Please remember
that. Sylvester Stallone gives us every reason to think that he is a
sensitive, sensible, philanthropic, superwealthy, happy individual.
He was not born that way, and he did not get that way by accident.

He asked himself a whole series of better questions, and, he got
better answers. If you look back at the past 24 hours, I'm willing
to wager that Christopher Reeves, breathing only by grace of God, a
breathing apparatus, and enormous personal desire, has actually done
more towards achieving his lifetime goals than you have. Now just
stop & think about this a moment. Here's a man who has
every 'reason' or excuse to just stop trying.

Instead, he looks at his life & his family as BEING every reason to
keep trying. Advancing his physical rehabilitation, doing work for
spinal injury causes, directing a major motion picture... if Chris
Reeves can do all this, can you please tell me why you have almost
certainly embraced little more than mediocrity in the past 24 hours?

Exactly what have you done TODAY towards your long-term dreams? Do
you even have a dream? If you don't know precisely where you're
going, I'll bet you end up somewhere else. If you had a genie, and 3
wishes, what would they be? I'm asking you to put it in writing in
the next 60 seconds. If you can't be bothered, you're a fool to
waste your time reading any further. If you're smart enough to do it
now, you will, I promise, be one step closer to your dream than if
you don't. This is basic logic. Are you with me so far? Don't talk:
DO IT!

Sylvester Stallone and Chris Reeves, successful men, describe
exactly what they want. Whether it's a fun wedding, or a better job,
or directing a movie, or increasing your income a modest 50% within
8 weeks: it doesn't matter WHAT it is you want. If you know exactly
WHY you want it, and can describe in detail what it is you want, you
have already accomplished at least 1 or 2 percent of the job. Now
you only have 98 steps left! You can actually change your life in
the next 5 minutes.

Put up or shut up. Describe, out loud & in writing, precisely what
you most want in life. Begin creating a plan by writing out who can
help you, and what 5 smaller steps you'd have to take in order to do
or obtain it. It's really true: you can change your life in the next
5 minutes, not by talking about what you know... rather, by USING
what you know. Talk less; do more: it's the only way we'll ever know
who you are. The way you spend today's hours is a pretty good video
preview of how you will be remembered. So, if your challenges and
obstacles are less daunting than what Sylvester Stallone,
Christopher Reeves, and so many others have faced, what are you
waiting for?

This is the most powerful day of your life, a day to put a date on
your dream, listing who can help you, and breaking into ten, twenty,
or even fifty or a hundred smaller steps. Why wait?

Should you even momentarily think that this is difficult, please
remember that you take these precise steps e

Style Look

So Guys the winter is over and summer is ahead be ready to change for fashion,
look, health and fitness. If you have long hair as per new trend start to make
it short as per Vergas style as its very hard to maintain the long hair during
summer due to swats and look wise its not good trend for summer. As seasons
change you have to change accordingly and that how its work’s for men’s
fashion. You may also try some of short hairstyle such as mushroom cuts, or the
best and latest one is a straight crops which is very popular now days as you
have seen some of salmn’s new movie’s he also tried same. Don’t forget to wear
nice and dark colure sunglass specially when you are out for day job or while
you riding the sunglass should be fit to u r eyes plus flat look.

Style Fitness: -

Fitness’ in summer is most important as this month is became hot and guys
became lazy to perform their rut in exercise what you have to do only just
change you schedule for exercise try to perform you work out early in the
morning or late in the evening .due to the climatically reason it will give you
more pleasure plus peace in your mind. Chose just light workout in order to
make your body temperature in habit for summer. Don’t forget as the season
change every thing needs to take time to change accordingly. Slowly you may
increase your stamina for exercise.

Style Check Out Fits: -Now the days has over for skintight cloth as its summer
will give you more hassles during travel. Fill your word robe with cotton stuff
such as latest trend of designed Bengali style kurta, you may chose in light
color as days became shining it will not effect on you plus will give you more
impression in public.

Style Make up: -No drought that guys do make up now days there is no strength
in it but guys you have to tune your make up as per weather plus a make up
which give your skin natural cuteness plus impression.

What to do?

Don’t use cold cream once winter is over its time to use sun screen specially
if you are going out during day off course most of guys love to move around
therefore don’t forget to apply sunscreen cream on your face. Specially this
year as there is high alert from beauty experts that sun ray can damaged skins

Dear Asfan

I am not a Doctor but I am a well-trained beauty therapist plus a

knowledge of right product as per type of skin. That’s why I decided to be here
and solve the issues. And I assume that this place will be the best place to
start, as here guys are very much aware to adopt new stuff.

Hope u understand me

Two Key Questions for Maximum Effectiveness
by: Brian Tracy

There are two questions that you can ask on a regular basis to keep yourself
focused on getting your most important tasks completed on schedule. The
first question is "What are my highest value activities?"

Put another way, what are the most important tasks you have to complete to
make the greatest contribution to your organization? To your family? To your
life in general?

Think It Through Carefully
This is one of the most important questions you can ask and answer. What are
your highest value activities? First, think this through for yourself. Then,
ask your boss. Ask your coworkers and subordinates. Ask your friends and

Keep Yourself Focused
The second question you can ask continually is, "What can I and only I do,
that if done well, will make a real difference?"

This question comes from Peter Drucker, the management guru. It is one of
the best of all questions for achieving personal effectiveness. What can
you, and only you do, that if done well, can make a real difference?

This is something that only you can do. If you don't do it, it won't be done
by someone else. But if you do do it, and you do it well, it can really make
a difference to your life and your career. What is your answer to this
question?

Every hour of every day, you can ask yourself this question and there will
be a specific answer. You job is to be clear about the answer and then to
start and work on this task before anything else.

Action Exercises
First, make a list of everything you do at work and then select your most
valuable tasks from that list.

Second, resolve to start in on your highest value task and stay at it until
it is 100% complete.

g_b Shahrukh Khan

2005-03-26 Thread gaudeamus

Dear Ashok,

It is not such a strange thing to have a crush
on another person. I think that happens to many people (men and women both;
young and not so young; gay, straight, and otherwise) all the time. Whether it
is really a problem that warrants your seeking professional help
depends on the extent to which it is beginning to affect the rest of your
life.

Are your feelings for him beginning to interfere
with the important relationships in your life? Your relationships with your
friends, your family? Are they affecting your marriage? Are you having
trouble with your work? (I am not asking you to tell us these things, just
suggesting that you ask yourself these questions.) If your answer to any of these questions is 'yes,' it is probably
worth consulting a therapist. From what you have told us already (you are
feeling desperate and have come close to leaving everything in your life behind
so that you can move to Mumbai and be with him), it sounds like the answer
really is 'yes.'

To get the most out of working with a
psychiatrist or other mental health professional, you will need to be able to
trust the therapist and be able to discuss with him or her anything that you
feel may be contributing to your problem, so it would be ideal if you could find
a gay-friendly therapist. I am sure someone from gaybombay can offer suggestions
of therapists to consider. But if you simply do not have access to a therapist
known to be gay-friendly in your area, as an alternative you could tell the
therapist that you are obsessed with, say, Aishwarya Rai. This
would not be optimal, but it would at least make it easier for you to get help
you might not otherwise be able to obtain.

Needing help dealing with feelings like this doesn't make
someone "crazy." And don't be fooled into believing that guys who are decent,
have good jobs, and are well-educated can't be challenged by issues of
self-esteem or problems in relationships that might be helped by seeking
professional help.

Out of curiosity, is he the only person for whom you have
ever had such strong feelings?

Elizabeth,
I am afraid you've got me wrong. I am interested in how an unqualified person
tackles heath problems like sexual diseases.
It would be different if he stuck to beauty aids only.

g_b Releasing Your Brakes

2005-03-26 Thread gaybombay

Releasing
Your Brakes
by: Brian Tracy

Do you have any ideas or attitudes about yourself and your abilities that may
be holding you back from great success and happiness? As it happens, everyone
does.

In this newsletter, you learn how to develop the beliefs that can help you and
get rid of the false ideas that block you from realizing your full potential.

In her wonderful book You Can Heal Your Life,
Louise Hay says that each one of us has feelings of inferiority that are
manifested in the conclusion that we are not good enough. We think that we are
not as good as other people, and we feel that we are not good enough to acquire
and enjoy the things that we want in life. Very often, we feel that we
don’t deserve good things. Even if we do work hard and achieve some
worthwhile objectives, we believe that we are not really entitled to our
successes, and we often engage in behaviors that sabotage our successes.

The fact is that you deserve every good thing that you are capable of acquiring
as the result of the application of your talents.

Overcoming Obstacles
You need to develop your beliefs about yourself to the point where they serve
you every day in every way. Men and women who accomplish extraordinary things
are just ordinary people who developed themselves mentally to the point where
they were able to overcome the obstacles that stood in their way, and they kept
on keeping on until the goal was attained.

The most harmful beliefs that you can have are what we call
“self-limiting beliefs.” These are beliefs about yourself, most of
which are not true; but they hold you back nonetheless. Sometimes you, or
others, will say that you cannot achieve certain goals because you did not get
enough education.

Questioning Your Excuses
The humorist Josh Billings once said, “It ain’t what a man knows
what hurts him. It’s what a man knows what ain’t true.” It
isn’t the actual truth about yourself and your abilities that hurts you;
it’s the things that you consider to be true and that have no basis in
truth.

The starting point of changing your beliefs is to get up the courage to
question them seriously. Question your basic premises. Check your assumptions.
Ask yourself, “What assumptions am I making about myself or my situation
that might not be true?”

It’s a fact that we fall in love with our excuses and our negative
assumptions. We fall in love with our reasons for not moving ahead.

The author Richard Bach wrote this beautiful line: “Argue for your
limitations, and sure enough, they’re yours.” Very often, we become
the prosecuting attorney in the case against ourselves. We dispute and argue
and attempt to prove to ourselves and others that our limitations are real. And
the less justification these ideas or beliefs have, the more adamant we become
in attempting to prove them to others.

Whatever they are, resolve to challenge them. Hold them up to the light.
Imagine that you had absolute confidence in yourself in a particular area.
Then, act as if it were impossible to fail, and it shall be!

Action
Exercises
Now, here are three steps you can take immediately to put
these ideas into action.

First, accept that you are as good and as talented in your own way as anyone
else you will ever meet. There is nothing you can’t accomplish if you
really want it.

Second, challenge a belief or idea about yourself that is holding you back.
What if you had extraordinary ability in that area? What difference would that
make in your life?

Third, stop making excuses for lack of success. Instead, start making progress.
Think and talk about what you want and then get busy making it come true.
