g_b My experiences at my 1st GB Cooking Meet

2006-04-03 Thread Sweet Angel

Hi All,

I would like to share my 1st GB meet experience with others who might yet not have the chance to come visit the lovely members;)

I went to the GB Cooking meet on Sunday. Mailed Vikram to confirm my attendance he was very kind to send a mail back almost immediately along with his phone no incase I had any problems finding the place.

Met Manoj at the Dadar CCD then about 20 of us went to Viraf's very tastefully done furnished pad.

After the usual rounds of introduction we started with learning the Chocolate/Coffee Flan which I heard had won Viraf the 2nd price in a cooking competition.

The next dish was Banana something. Since I dont like Bananas (No Pun intended) I come out of the kitchen Viraf offered me some nice whisky to keep myself occupied:)

Also learnt the Fish curry part a bit but was more busy interacting with the nice guys I was introduced with;)

The food was really very tasty but thats not what I wrote this mail for.

I would suggest all member who have never got the chance or maybe the support to come to a GB Party to surely attend such small meets / hikes. It would help them meet some nice guys and also have a hell of a good time, clean fun the chance to meet some talk to people and hear their coming out stories.

Would surely be better thenwasting yr time online hoping to meet a nice guy to chat, when in reality all we meet are mostly lying despos;)

Cant wait to go to the next cooking meet:)

Regards

RE: g_b WORST VIRUS EVER --- CNN ANNOUNCED

2006-03-28 Thread Sweet Angel

Dear Aditya,
Please dont take this in the wrong sense but thought that I would show you that someone just forwarded a Hoax mail to you, which in turn you unknowingly forwarded to others.
Please do remember to check any such emails before you decide to believe them. This mail is in existence since 2000 while you were made to belive that it a newly discovered Virus.
Here is a link which says all about the mail.http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_a_card_for_you.htm
The gist of which is -

'A Virtual Card for You' Virus Warning

Netlore Archive: Hoax email alert warns of 'the worst virus ever' circulating under the header 'A Card for You' (or 'A Virtual Card for You')

Description: Email hoaxCirculating since: Dec. 2000Status: FalseAnalysis: See below
Email example contributed by an AOL user, 1 March 2002:

Subject: Virus Warning
CNN announced. PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST !!
A new virus has just been discovered that has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive ever! This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee and no vaccine has yet been developed. This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored.
This virus acts in the following manner: It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list with the title "A Card for You." As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened, the computer freezes so that the user has to reboot. When the keys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroying the hard disk.
Yesterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York, according to news broadcast by CNN. This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself. So don't open any mails with subject: " A Virtual Card for You. " As soon as you get the mail, delete it. Even if you know the sender.
Please pass this mail to all of your friends. Forward this to everyone in your address book. I'm sure most people, like myself, would rather receive this 25 times than not at all.
Also: Intel announced that a new and very destructive virus was discovered recently. If you receive an email called "An Internet Flower For You", do not open it. Delete it right away! This virus removes all dynamic link libraries (.DLL files) from your computer. Your computer will not be able to boot up!!
This is posted as a warning. Lets hope that none of us gets touched by any of this.
Comments: With so many real viruses wreaking havoc on computers and networks worldwide, it's a shame we have to cope with false warnings like the above. There is no such threat as the "Sector Zero" or "A Card for You" (aka "A Virtual Card for You") virus. If you receive a copy of this alert, just delete it.
As a general rule, acting on forwarded email warnings is the worst way to try to protect yourself from viruses — and not just because the majority of emailed virus warnings are hoaxes. In a sense, all such warnings — even the accurate ones — are misleading, because they leave the false impression that as long as you're on the alert for file attachments with specific names, you will be safe. The reality is that you put yourself at risk by downloading any executable file by any name — and some viruses are even designed to rename themselves or email copies of themselves under randomly varying names.
Much, much, much more important than heeding emailed virus warnings are the simple preventative measures of:

Always being very careful what you download
Scanning your hard drive regularly with up-to-date antivirus software.

RE: g_b Help Needed

2006-03-27 Thread Sweet Angel

Hey Walnut,
Iam not a lawyer as such but I have spent many years in courts clearing my cases.
If it is something very umm how do I put it, Delicate, I mean where the judgement depends on your conviction or accquital then I can put you in touch with a few people who can make yr troubles disappear. Could be expensive business so dont bother about it unless its a matter of yr freedom, just a personal advise.
And yes if u decide to spend money on yrself, dont spend on a good lawyer but only on the judge. Rest its yr call.
I can tell some lawyers are going to be very displeased about this but then it doesnt change any facts of life unfortunately:(

Regards

It has been a long and arduous battle, but finally victory is in hand. Following the footsteps of many of the European countries, including England, India too is going to recognise same-sex or homosexual marriages. This is a big breakthrough for all the gay and lesbian groups who have been campaigning for this legal right for a long time now. They were helped in their efforts by some NGOs who had been championing the cause of homosexuals. The new law should hopefully put an end to all the humiliation and harassment that homosexuals have to undergo in the hands of the public and the police. As per the new law, not only does the state recognise the union between same-sex couples as legal, but they'll also enjoy all the privileges and protections that any other heterosexual married couple enjoys by
virtue of being married. This law is a huge jump for the Indian state too, which till date had archaic laws governing the issue of homosexuals. While the law was silent when it came to gay marriages, homosexual sex itself was a crime that could invite arrest and a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. Enacted during the British Raj, this statute from 1860 (Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code) criminalises 'carnal intercourse against the order of nature.' For some time now, due to more liberal attitudes and the need to control HIV/AIDS, several NGOs had been demanding the legalisation of homosexuality in India.

It will be some time before social acceptance follows the legal acceptance. Fear of social ostracism and harassment has prevented many gays and lesbians from coming out in the open. And those who dared had to fight a difficult battle against society. Mala and Raju are a lesbian couple from Amritsar who ran away from home and got married in a secret Hindu ceremony in Delhi. But when they made their relationship public their families tried to have them arrested. In a country which does not easily accept inter-caste marriages it will be some time before these marriages are accepted. This is one side of the picture in India. The other is of the upper-class and high-society where homosexuality is easily accepted and not frowned upon. In some circles it is even considered
fashionable to call one self gay. In fact India has seen its share of gay marriage too. Fashion designer Wendell Rodricks and his French partner Jerome got legally united in a civil ceremony in Goa. This union was based on a legal document called PCAS (Pacte Civil de Solidarite) that is valid only in France. France recognises Gay civil unions and Jerome being French this union is considered legal. Though same-sex marriages are still a debatable topic in many countries, there are quite a few who have legalised these marriages. Belgium, Brazil, Cannada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden are some of the countries that have already recognised gay marriages. And

2006-03-09 Thread Sweet Angel

Dear Mr Photographer,
The Economy of our country the lives of millions of poor people on this country who cannot afford private hospitals does not run on your creativity.
Sure we must protest, the same way I protested against the strike by doctors who have left hundreds of very sick patient unattended.
Saying I dont agree is very fine. I can just say "SCREW YOU IF U DONT AGREE, SIR".
Keep protesting about everything you wish to change, but dont inconvienience anyone else.
About 2 lac people protested in Bombay when Bush visited Delhi. Blocked traffic for hours protesting against Bush's Policies Iraq. Well Bush went back after meeting our top people in Delhi what did the people of Bombay get? Traffic Jams delays. By someone who took to street protesting. LOL. Nice way to change things.
I would have suggested that the doctors wear Black Coats instead of white before treating any patient make them understand their problems. Get the patients their relatives to sign their protests in support then take all the support to the highest level in the land. That way they would have had lots of public support. But no, these highly qualified people stop work, dont treat patients loose a chance to win friends for their cause.
By the way dont want tohit you below the belt but I think your way ofthinking is 1 of the reason you are still looking for a partner. Change it to think how you can work along and help others too when you have some time off from your protests. Iam sure you will meet someone nice interesting.
Take Care yes you are free to protest against this mail. Although you wont get a reply to entertain you this time;)

Ah Ha! Looks likeSweet Angelwill make a GREAT ceo of a multinational or may be a Poster Boy of our fascist government.

But remember... PROTESTS are the only tools thatyou have as a citizen of a so called democratic (read replacements of tissues for the American govt) country for any change. I am sure it doesnt matter much for the educated urbanlot, because this goverment does cater only to this crowd (or does it?). But it might make sense for youto just go to a village...feel a bit of rural India (which is whatmost of India is)and you will know what’s happening there. It’s all crumpling up under the shrink-wrapped urban Indiaof shopping malls and multiplexes.

And that’s exactly where Protests come in….because someone has to stand up and say “this is not acceptable to me” I mean you cant take any shit that come your way…can you?? And come on…you are loosing every bit ofyour freedom day by day…don’t ever say it again. Because once it’s taken away from you, you will have a hard time getting it back.

And so let there bemore protests…more taking to the streets….more voices to say “I don’t agree” or in better words “Civil Disobedience”? As that’s the only way to change.

I can understand the hardships you must have hadto face. (Frankly I dont understand them at all, as I know not what hardships u face).
But lets come to the point. Its high time the govt kept a blanket ban on all sorts of strikes across the country. Not just for doctors, but all essential services like the airport unions, BEST, railway workers, bank workers etc.
Not that people dont support you, but that these strikes cause untold hardship to the common man not to say a great economic loss to the country.
I hope you find a PG accomadation soon. As for another job (I have heard the Govt is getting replacements for all the doctors), I would advise you to join a call centre. I hear they need medical people for medical transcriptions etc.
By the way, you wont get any media write up if you decide to hold a strike in a call centre. The only write up you would get is your resignation letter.

Re: g_b Adrian : Does Gay love ever exist

2006-03-04 Thread Sweet Angel

Dear Adrian,
Very well said Sir.
It's a lot better then the other "rules of fraternity" where We start with sex, andif we find substance beyond that, we go on to becoming friends and evenlovers.
Noone could have explained a newcomer any better.

Regards

22:56:49 PSTI know what you mean, Raul. It's sad. I guess thathappens because the "relationship", for what it'sworth, begins wrong in the first place. I mean, howrealistic is a scenario where you "meet" a person byhaving to tell him your physical stats for starters. Iam sure they have better introductions at the AAsessions, for crying out loud!Any relationship where you have to start off by givingyour height, skin color, age, dick size, waistlengthis doomed from the beginning. That's not how we makefriends in real life. That's how we have a quickie inthe dark! Sex is not the foundation to base arelationship on.I think we need to go over our current friendships -gay or straight - think out how those friendshipsformed and apply the same rules in the currentpremise.Good luck in

RE: g_b Need help in making CDs from the movie file

2006-02-09 Thread Sweet Angel

Hi Prakash,
The file is playing on yr Computer because u have the Codecs for it stored in yr PC.
To play it on a VCD player u might need to change the formatby which it was recorded.
Play the movie on VCD Cutter. It also has format changes that you can make to yr movie file.
Incase u cant download a crack version then mail me I have the complete player will send it to u as a file on messenger.
Else u could also google find out about "movie format changer" see which FREE software best suits yr purpose.
By the way how big is the movie u downloaded? Have u tried to just burn that on a CD not any other files along with it on the same CD?
Regards

g_b Actors who wont watch Brokeback Mountain.

2006-01-06 Thread Sweet Angel

"I'm for gay marriage, gay divorce, gay this and gay that. I just don't want to watch two straight men, alone on the prairie, fall in love and kiss and hug and hold hands and whatnot. That's all. Is that so terrible? Does that mean I'm homophobic? And if I am, well, then that's too bad. Because you can call me any name you want, but I'm still not going to that movie."- Looks like Curb Your Enthusiasm star Larry David won't be seeing Brokeback Mountain.

From The New York Times.

January 1, 2006
Cowboys Are My Weakness
By LARRY DAVID

SOMEBODY had to write this, and it might as well be me. I haven't seen "Brokeback Mountain," nor do I have any intention of seeing it. In fact, cowboys would have to lasso me, drag me into the theater and tie me to the seat, and even then I would make every effort to close my eyes and cover my ears.
And I love gay people. Hey, I've got gay acquaintances. Good acquaintances, who know they can call me anytime if they had my phone number. I'm for gay marriage, gay divorce, gay this and gay that. I just don't want to watch two straight men, alone on the prairie, fall in love and kiss and hug and hold hands and whatnot. That's all.
Is that so terrible? Does that mean I'm homophobic? And if I am, well, then that's too bad. Because you can call me any name you want, but I'm still not going to that movie.
To my surprise, I have some straight friends who've not only seen the movie but liked it. "One of the best love stories ever," one gushed. Another went on, "Oh, my God, you completely forget that it's two men. You in particular will love it."
"Why me?"
"You just will, trust me."
But I don't trust him. If two cowboys, male icons who are 100 percent all-man, can succumb, what chance to do I have, half- to a quarter of a man, depending on whom I'm with at the time? I'm a very susceptible person, easily influenced, a natural-born follower with no sales-resistance. When I walk into a store, clerks wrestle one another trying to get to me first. My wife won't let me watch infomercials because of all the junk I've ordered that's now piled up in the garage. My medicine cabinet is filled with vitamins and bald cures.
So who's to say I won't become enamored with the whole gay business? Let's face it, there is some appeal there. I know I've always gotten along great with men. I never once paced in my room rehearsing what to say before asking a guy if he wanted to go to the movies. And I generally don't pay for men, which of course is their most appealing attribute.
And gay guys always seem like they're having a great time. At the Christmas party I went to, they were the only ones who sang. Boy that looked like fun. I would love to sing, but this weighty, self-conscious heterosexuality I'm saddled with won't permit it.
I just know if I saw that movie, the voice inside my head that delights in torturing me would have a field day. "You like those cowboys, don't you? They're kind of cute. Go ahead, admit it, they're cute. You can't fool me, gay man. Go ahead, stop fighting it. You're gay! You're gay!"
Not that there's anything wrong with it.
Larry David appears in the HBO series "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

g_b A Management Joke

2005-12-29 Thread Sweet Angel

ManagementA Manager of a large corporation got a heart attack, and the doctor told him to go for several weeks to a farm to relax.
The guy went to a farm and after a couple of days he was very bored, and he asked the farmer to give him some job to do.
The farmer told him to clean the shit of the Cows !The farmer thought that to somebody coming from the city, working for the whole life sitting in an office, it will take over a week to finish the job, but to his surprise the manager finished the Job in less than oneday.
The next day, the farmer gave the Manager a more difficult job - to cut the heads of 500 Chickens ! The farmer was sure that the Manager will not be able to do the job, but at the end of the day the job was done.
The next morning, as most of the jobs in the farm were done, the farmer asked the Manager to segregate a bag of potatoes in two boxes, one box with smallpotatoes, and one box with big potatoes.
At the end of the day the farmer saw that the Manager was sitting in front of the potatoes bag, but the 2 boxes were empty !
The farmer asked the Manager 'How is it that you did such difficult jobs in the first few days, and now you cannot do this simple job?'
The Manager answered 'Listen, all my life I'm cutting heads and dealing with shit, but now you ask me to take DECISIONS!!!'

g_b Merry Christmas!!!

2005-12-26 Thread Sweet Angel

Merry Christmas!!!

My heartfelt appreciation goes out to all of you who have taken the time and trouble to send me "forwards" over the past 12 months.
Thank you for making me feel safe, secure, blessed and healthy.

* Extra thanks to whoever sent me the email about rat crap in the glue on envelopes - causenow I have to go get a wet towel every time I need to seal an envelope.
* Also, I scrub the top of every soft drink can I open for the same reason.

* Because of your genuine concern, I no longer drink Coca Cola because I know it can remove toilet stains, which is not exactly an appealing characteristic.
* I check my seat before i sit in a movie theatre because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS.

* I no longer use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.
* I no longer go to shopping centres because someone might drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.

* I no longer eat KFC because their "chickens" are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.

* I no longer worry about my soul because at last count, I have 363,214 angels looking out for me.

* Thanks to you, I have learned that God only answers my prayers if I forward an email to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.
* I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl on the internet who is about to die in the hospital (for the 1,387,258th time).

* I no longer have any money at all in fact - but that will change once I receive the$ 15,000 that Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special on-line email program.

Yes, I want to thank you all so much for looking out for me that I will now return the favour!

If you don't send this email to at least 144,000 people in the next 7 minutes, a large pigeon with a wicked case of diarrhoea will land on your head at 5:00 PM today.

I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbour's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's beautician.

DO IT NOW OR ELSE.

And have a nice day!

With love and HAPPY CHRISTMAS

g_b Be like a Candle

2005-12-22 Thread Sweet Angel

Once upon a time a little candle stood in a room filled with other candles, most of them much larger and much more beautiful than she was. Some were ornate and some were rather simple, like herself. Some were white, some were blue, some were pink, some were green. She had no idea why she was there, and the other candles made her feel rather small and insignificant. When the sun went down and the room began to get dark, she noticed a large man walking toward her with a ball of fire on a stick. She suddenly realized that the man was going to set her on fire. No, no!! she cried, Agghhh! Don't burn me, please! But she knew that she could not be heard and prepared for the pain that would surely follow. To her surprise, the
room filled with light. She wondered where it came from since the man had extinguished his fire stick. To her delight, she realized that the light came from herself. Then the man struck another fire stick and, one by one, lit the other candles in the room. Each one gave out the same light that she did.During the next few hours, she noticed that, slowly, her wax began to flow. She became aware that she would soon die. With this realization came a sense of why she had been created. Perhaps my purpose on earth is to give out light until I die, she mused. And that's exactly what she did.Lord created you and I to produce light in a dark world. Like that little candle, we all can produce the same amount of light, no matter how small we are or what color we might be.
Merry Christmas!

Hi Vikram,
Thanks for your efforts.
If i may suggest something then GB being this large a group with so many members, wont it be possible to find someone who has a farmhouse sort of a place somewhere close to Bombay or someone who is a DJ?
Iam sure we must be having various resources / talents in guys from our mailing list. If anyone can contribute from our side I think we could work out something.
From myside I could talk to a few people with place but it would be somewhere near Karjat or Pune. Would travelling this far be ok with most?
I might also have an old contact working for Bacardi so I think it might be possible to arrange for breezers at the factory price so to speak. Ditto for either Kingfisher or Castle beers. Thats incase you ever decide to have a private party.
Cant promise anything as of now but can surely tap these contacts pass them on to you incase the idea excites you.

Thanks Regards

Just as the surely as the flamingoscome to Sewri, those equally pink and elongated gay tourists aredescending for the winter tourist season. Mumbaikars are complainingabout the cold and Delhiites are almost dying laughing hearing them. And the GB organisers are tearing what little hair we have left, wondering how we are going to organise our New Year's party.Every year this gets harder, as more and more people get into thehabit of going for New Years parties and as a result the occasion isbecoming increasingly important for the hospitality industry, soevery place wants to have its own party. This year it's particularlyhard since
31st Dec is a Saturday, so its a normal partying dayanyway. So nearly every hotel, club and hall is planning on havingits own party. The GB party organisers (which mostly means Dee, with the rest of usmaking encouraging noises in the background) have been trying to findplaces, and to be honest, we almost gave up at one point. All ourregular venues were either having their parties or were simply notlarge enough. Last year's New Year's party had at least 450 before westopped counting. Many many more had to be turned away (I think Istill have the scars from having to refuse two drag queens entry). This year too we've already started getting queries from people fromout of town wanting to make their plans to be here, or people fromhere wanting to make sure they get in. And we couldn't find a place. The few places that fitted our
requirements and were willing toconsider a party were asking for cover charges of Rs2,000-2,500/-!!It does look like this will be a normal price at many places, but itwas not a price we felt we could inflict on the community. Last yearwe were Rs950/- (still one of the cheapest large organised parties intown) and while we knew an increase is inevitable, beyond a point itdoesn't seem fair or feasible to have a party. Some people we'vespoken to have suggested an expensive and small party, but thatdoesn't seem to be what GB is about. That was when we startingthinking that this year perhaps we should skip a party. But thanks to Dee's persistance we now have a possible place. Its large (none of the claustrophobia of Chat Masala last year), a beautiful place and well located near a station, and while it won't come cheap, it is not
unreasonable. Against

g_b Inzy's Interview

2005-11-16 Thread Sweet Angel

I dunno if this is true, but it sure is hilarious -

Inzy's Interview

It's said that the post match script for the Pakistan cricket team captain Inzamam Ul Haq is always prepared in advance, as questions are more or less the same.. and replies too are quite similar. This gives enough time for Inzy to memorize the script in advance, as he is supposed to be weak in English.
But once Rameez Raja put him in big soup by asking a different question after Pak won the match. Needless to say, Inzi was not prepared...

RAMEEZ: So Inzy.Congrats..we understand your wife is pregnant???

INZY: Bismilla e Rehmaane Rahim, Sabse Pehle to Allah talah ka ShukarInsha Allah all credit goes to the boys...every one worked hard for itespecially Afridi. Without his hard hitting strokes, it wouldn't have been possible. The patient knock of Younis Khan kept the momentum going... and Yohanna led from the front.. that gave the courage and confidence to our young boys to believe in themselves and make the most out of this opportunity. Also Bob Woolmer kept a closed watch on the progress.after all, its a great team effort.

Rameez Raja quickly wound up the Award Giving Ceremony!!

PS: I hope there is no Maths Trick involved in this one Einstien;)

g_b YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH

2005-11-13 Thread Sweet Angel

Strange but it worked for me so hoping there are some more chocolate lovers here who would try

YOUR AGE BY CHOCOLATE MATH It takes less than a minute Work this out as you read ... This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun. 1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have chocolate (more than once but less than 10) 2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold) 3. Add 5 4. Multiply it by 50 -- I'll wait while you ! get the calculator 5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755 If you haven't, add 1754. 6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were
born. You should have a three digit number . The first digit of this was your original number(i.e., how many times you want to have chocolate each week). The next two numbers are YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!) THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2005) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS. Have a Great Day chocolates everyday

RE: g_b Guy I missed at Sunday Brunch

2005-11-11 Thread Sweet Angel

Dear Ankit,
I liked the way you have put foward your request. Very decent.
Wish you could teach how to do that to some other guys too.
Anyways, I think this is the 2nd time you have sent this email. So I guess you still havent found that person. If you dont mind I would like to give you a suggestion.
As you said that he might be an active member of GB, why dont you write a personal email to the moderators who were at that function ask them to forward this email directly to the guy concerened.
You could request them to have a word with that guy he could answer your email only if he was comfortable. But remember that while doing so, please STRESS on the word FRIENDSHIP not love as you might also scare someone off if you come too strongly.
So ask for his friendship first and as and when you both get comfortable with each other you could decide the direction of your relationship.
Hope this helps you in your quest.
All the best.

RE: g_b Zouk Party.........Good Show...

2005-11-11 Thread Sweet Angel

Dear BigHard,
Since you were asking for a frank opinion I giving it to you.
You want to know how to date this guy??? Have you found out if that guy wants to date you?
Is it love of just a passe??? Sir, your last sentence says it all. Quoting you, "Also, If I'min relationship with him should I Love and have sex with this guy only or I should be open to sex with other guys."
What is wrong with you? Did you post such a message just to get and give a kick to the rest of us readers?
How can you be asking others to help you with a guy you supposedly love then ask if its ok to sleep around with other guys or to be open to sex with them?
This was really something that would be pretty insulting to not only this guy but to any guy you would love in future.
But then your mail dint suprise me as much as I thought it would. I have met the likes of you on chat at a dime a dozen.
I hope ANDY or whoever he is, has the better sense to stay away from you.
Thats just my two pennies worth of frank advise.if yiu dint like it then next time I will ask my friend Mr. Frank to butter you up and make you feel happy.

Thanks Regards

If anyone is interested to help out they could mail me directly too @ [EMAIL PROTECTED].
Hope some of you takes some interest, but just a word of caution, soft hearted people ( I see a lot of them here, thankfully they still exisit) would be advised to stay out unless they really feel they could contribute.

Thanks Regards

RE: g_b My Brother Nikhil --- (Info on Sex Change Oerations)

2005-11-09 Thread Sweet Angel

Hi,
I would like to inform the group that there is a whole page in today Mid-day ie 9th November 2005, Page 8, dedicated to Sex Change operations from Male to Female / Female to Male some famous cases.Itwas pretty long article so I was feeling lazy to type the whole thing but on reading this mail from Abhay I thought maybe it would be a good reading for members who dont get Mid-day in their cities / country.
So here goes Sorry if its a bit long for some people, but thought it would give us some more info on this subject.

Gender bender: Eve to Adam in a jiffyIn the US, as many as one out of every 10 adults believes her/himself to be transgendered i.e. to have been born in the wrong body. Ajay Mafatlal (earlier Aparna Mafatlal) probably felt the identity crisis and opted for a sex change. The operation doesn’t actually alter the person’s sex, as that’s physically impossible.
Which is why the procedure is not termed ‘sex change surgery’, but is called ‘sex reassignment surgery’ (SRS). The procedure aims to alter the individual’s physical appearance to replicate the anatomy of the opposite sex.
According to The Health Mag, Dr Magnus Hirschfeld the German physician who coined the term trans-sexualism, was the first sex change pioneer. He founded the world’s first sexology institute in Berlin, where the first complete ‘male to female’ sex change operation was performed in 1930.
Since then the surgery has caught on across the world, and is now a common practice. Even mainstream films have embraced Caroline them. Cossey, the trans-sexual James Bond girl, appeared with Roger Moore in ‘For Your Eyes Only’ in 1981.
Male to female
1. Creation of a new vagina involves removal of the core of the penis and testes. Scrotal and penile tissue is pushed inside out to form a vaginal canal just in front of the rectum. The exit of the urethra gets re-sited, and a clitoris is fashioned from the head of the penis.
2. The scrotal tissue is reshaped to form small flaps, labia, at the opening of the new vagina.
3. Cosmetic surgery, which can be done at a later stage, involves breast implant, nose reshaping and reduction of the Adam’s apple.
4. This follows jaw re-modelling, peeling off coarse skin and hair transplantation.
Hormone therapyThe female hormone oestrogen is used to develop breast tissue, to enlarge the nipples, and to increase fat around the hips and thighs.
Female to male
1. The breasts are removed and the nipples repositioned to produce a more natural looking male chest.

Transsexuality is usually a variant gender identity where there is an incongruity between a person’s external genitalia and psychological sense of gender. There are many who seek to undergo a transition from their birth sex to the opposite sex.
Mumbai’s most famous sex change has been captured in a 52-minute film made by the late Riyadh Wadia called A Mermaid Called Aida. Aida was previously a Worli resident called Adi Banaji. Adi underwent a sex change to become a woman and spoke about her experiences in the film.
Before she underwent a sex change operation in the 1970s, Dr Renee Richards was known as Dr Richard Raskind, an amateur tennis player. The American created a buzz when she entered in the women’s category post her sex change operation. Renee was the eye of a storm of protest from women players at that time who claimed she should not be allowed to play. However, she was finally cleared to play as a woman.
Jin Xing is China’s celebrated dancer and choreographer, who had to defy his parents to learn dance in traditional China. After learning and dancing with legends, Xing underwent a sex change to become a woman in 1995. The Communist country has had no problems with sex change operations and surgeons have been doing these since 1935. Xing now performs throughout Europe and has a studio in Beijing. Who does such operations?Contrary to popular belief, sex change operations are not undertaken by sexologists. “A good plastic surgeon, in consultation with a urologist or a sexologist, does the operation,” says Dr Kiran Coelho, gynaecologist with Lilavati Hospital.

g_b HIV outlaw gets 21-year sentence

2005-11-04 Thread Sweet Angel

Hi All,

Just passing on this news item where a man knowingly met people for sex passed on his HIV + status to others.

Just a mail of caution to always have sex safe incase we unknowingly meet up with such psychos.

HIV ‘outlaw’ gets 21-year sentenceEx-D.C. government worker offers no apologies in court

A former D.C. government worker who has known since 1996 that he has the AIDS virus was sentenced to a 21-year prison term yesterday for luring women and teenage girls into sexual relationships without telling them of the risks.

Sundiata Basir, 34, a onetime assistant to a deputy mayor, had unprotected sex with at least seven partners in what prosecutors called "a stunning picture of criminal recklessness." Four women and girls, including a 15-year-old, later discovered that they had the AIDS virus, prosecutors said. Basir offered no apologies yesterday in D.C. Superior Court, declaring at one point: "I'm not going to say anything. Every time I say something, I get another case."
The judge called Basir a "violent, self-absorbed outlaw," and prosecutors expressed concern about the broader impact of his behavior. Basir had sex with an unknown number of others who might be spreading the virus, they said. Authorities urged people who think they might have been exposed to seek medical screening.
Because of the number and ages of victims and the threat to public health, prosecutors said Basir's case is particularly outrageous. They noted that the District already faces an HIV crisis: One in 20 residents is infected with the AIDS virus, the highest rate of any major U.S. city.

Basir pleaded guilty in July to child sexual abuse, cruelty to children and attempted aggravated assault. Those charges stemmed from relationships with a woman and two teenage girls.
Prosecutors said Basir never warned his partners, even though some asked him to use a condom. He also ignored the advice of his sister, a doctor, who said he could transmit the disease if he failed to take precautions, they said.
Basir has fathered seven children with six women and girls, prosecutors said. None of the children have been diagnosed with HIV. Even after marrying one of his victims -- who was 17 when they wed in 2002 -- Basir mentioned nothing about his medical condition, they said.

From 1999 to 2002, Basir worked as an executive assistant for Carolyn N. Graham, who was the deputy mayor in charge of social services. He was paid $43,100 a year.

Judge Robert I. Richter attempted to delve into Basir's motivation, telling the defendant, "Mr. Matthews said your mind is not functioning clearly."

Basir mumbled, "That's true."

Basir blamed his conduct on his medical condition, which he said led to three nervous breakdowns. "I was in complete denial," he said. "I didn't want to believe I had it. . . . It's not every day you hear that you're going to die."

In addition to the prison term, Richter ordered Basir to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Two victims attended the sentencing, but they did not address the judge. Several victims and their relatives submitted statements to the court for consideration.

"This crime has affected me to the point that I can't be myself again," one woman wrote.

U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Wainstein, who attended the sentencing, credited the victims with having the courage to cooperate with law enforcement authorities. "Because they stepped forward, defendant Basir's days of manipulating, exploiting and infecting his young romantic partners are over," Wainstein said in a prepared statement.

Wainstein said Basir "played a game of Russian Roulette with the lives of the young women and girls."

RE: g_b What Others Have To Say About Lata Mangeshkar !

2005-11-01 Thread Sweet Angel

Dear Opaque love,
Guess yr love really is OPAQUE.
I guess India would really be a great place to live in if we destroyed all the fly-overs cause people are using them to drive recklessly, adding to the pollution increasing the decible levels of the surroundings.
Iam sure Lata Mangeshkar is Lata Mangeshkar, Amitabh is Amitabh, Amartya Sen is Amartaya Sen you my dear friend are an arsehole for turning movie stars entertainers into demi-gods.
People like them for their performance, enjoy her songs and let the country prosper too, cause one day Lata, Amitabh, Amartya, Rahul other pop stars will be dead but our future generations will be stuck at a mile long traffic jam to get back home.
This thread is closed from my side. Your next mail can be more foolish then this one but it wont get a response from me cause I have to go break down some fly-overs to help my country from pollution reckless driving...
Wish you have read something educative sometime in your lifetime instead of hearing "manamohana bade zoote" or "rasik balama" but then if wishes were horses...

dear not-so-sweet angel,
as a taxpaying citizen of this country, every person has a right to demand from the govt the things for his/her well-being. and the same thing madam lata mangeshkar has done.she has just supported the cause of the residents of her locality alongwith her neighbours. what is wrong in that ? don't you seeprotests against new dams, mega-highways ? why ? because your so called development is harming their very existance. if unfortunately the flyover does take place, you will be using it to drive recklesslyadding to pollution and increasing the decibel levels of the surrounding.what is wrong if the affected citizens raise their objection ?lesser mortels like rahul gandhi are given big banglows much beyond their entitlementwith taxpayers money, but you will be silenton it. just think of creating a small constrution that affects his
peace and you will be barred from doing so. and nobody will ever say anything about it... then why is it with dearlata mangeshkar ?

she has created joy through her work for millions of people in this country. she deserves much much better treatment. insted you are making her fight for such petty reasons like a flyover ? it is shame on her millions of fans. they should raise their voice and support her. and it is shame on our govt that such a 'gem' of our country hasjust to think of leaving this country for sucha reason. and mind well, she has not yet left the country. just expressed her anguish in a desparate moment. you are bestowing flowers on NRIs like amartya sen whohas nothing to do with this country or made no big contribution to this country. or you wont talk about amitabh bachchan who already enjoys an NRI status. then why this hallabaloo forher alone ? her social contribution is far greater than many others. she has helped many a needy- personally (as was quoted by the
beneficieries ) andcollectively by organising fund raising shows. so she deserves a much better treatment.

andto say about my friend's comments on the "Matching tune for tune", it would only be fair to say that Lata mangeshkar is Lata mangeshkar for her recorded work for last few decades and not for her recent live perform

They are available all over the footpaths of flora fountain.
They cost Rs 125/- to Rs 175/- depending on the size. (After Bargain).
The hawkers usually ask for more as they know that most of the people are shy to bargain on them and would pay without complaining, so dont hesitate to quote them this price incase you feel you are being over charged.

Happy Shopping!

g_b A Love Story

2005-10-21 Thread Sweet Angel

There was once this guy who is very much in love with his girl. This romantic guy folded 1,000 pieces of paper cranes as a gift to his girl.Although, at that time he was just a small fry in his company, his future doesn't seem too bright, they were very happy together.Until one day, his girl told him she was going to Paris and will never come back. Shealso told him that she cannot visualize any future for the both of them, so they went their own ways there and then...Heartbroken, the guy agreed. But when he regained his confidence, he worked hard day and night, slogging his body and mind just to make something out of himself. Finally with all the hard work and the help of friends, this guy had set up his own company ...

You never fail until you stop trying.

One rainy day, while this guy was driving, he saw an elderly couplesharing an umbrella in the rain walking to some destination.Even with the umbrella, they were still drenched. It didn't take him long to realize they were his girl's parents. With a heart in getting back at them, he drove slowly beside the couple, wanting them to spot him in his luxury sedan. He wanted them to know that he wasn't the same any more; he had his own company, car, condo, etc.He made it! What he saw next confused him, the couple was walking towards a cemetery, and so he got out of his car and followed...and he saw his girl,a photograph of her smiling sweetly as ever at him from her tombstone and he saw his paper cranes right beside her...Her parents saw him. He asked them why this had happened. They explained, she
did not leave for France at all. She was ill with cancer. She had believed that he will make it someday, but she did not want to be his obstacle... therefore she had chosen to leave him.
Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. She had wanted her parents to put his paper cranes beside her, because, if the day comes when fate brings him to her again...he can take some of those back with him...

Two gay men decide to have a baby. They mix their sperm, and then have a surrogate mother artificially inseminated.
When the baby is born, they rush to the hospital. A dozen babies are in the ward, eleven of whom are crying and screaming. Over in the corner, one is smiling serenely.
A nurse comes by and to the gays' delight she points out the happy child as theirs.
"Isn't it wonderful?" one man says to the other. "All these unhappy children and ours is so happy."
The nurse says, "Oh sure, he's happy now. But just watch what happens when we take the pacifier out of his ass."

g_b How to make that first phone call

2005-10-16 Thread Sweet Angel

How to make that first phone call
By Bob Strauss

You met online, and now it's time to dial up that special someone. What to say? How long to yak? Make a great impression by following this advice.
The way technology is going, 50 years from now folks will be able to flirt, marry, and have kids on the internet—all without having to once meet face-to-face. Until that day comes, though, odds are you're going to have to at least speak to your email crush on the telephone (that's that shiny hand-held thing with the alphanumeric buttons, in case you've been parked in front of your computer too long). Sadly, poor phone etiquette has led to the untimely demise of many a promising e-relationship.

Here are some mistakes that are best avoided:
Phone hang-up #1: Not having anything to say.
The garrulous, uninhibited nature of some folks' email is inversely proportional to their dull, monosyllabic phone technique—which puts an unfair burden on the caller (or callee). After exchanging a few emails with a guy she'd met online, Nathalie Steyn, 30, of New York, rang him up, only to be confronted with the telephonic version of a root canal: "The conversation was so halting, and it was so difficult to get him to talk, that I hung up as soon as I could."
Tip to try: If you're the shy type who finds it difficult to speak (but easy to write), try typing out a few nuggets beforehand to consult during slow spots in the conversation.

Phone hang-up #2: Starting a deliberate game of phone tag.
I've been guilty of this one myself. Here's how it works: After exchanging a few emails with a gal you're kinda, sorta (but not totally, crazily) interested in, she zaps you her home phone number and says she's usually around in the early evenings. Being a complete wuss, you call on a weekday, when you know she'll be at work, and leave a message along the lines of "Gosh, I know you said you're around in the evenings, but I'm kinda busy this week so I thought I'd just leave a quick message. Here's my phone number." Then she does the exact same thing to you. Repeat two or three times until you both lose interest.
Tip to try: Oh, come now—maybe this person is the as-yet-unmet love of your life. Suck it up and call when you ought to, and see where it goes.

Phone hang-up #3: Not being prepared.
If you're the type who likes to sow your virtual oats, odds are you're dealing with two or three internet prospects at any given time—which (depending on your internal spreadsheet capabilities) can be a lot to juggle. In fact, it can easily lead to very unfunny mix-ups. "It's important to keep straight whom you're talking to," says Sam Albert, 41, of Washington, D.C. "It's not enough just to have the person's information up on the screen, especially if their user name is different from their real name and you happen to be looking at the wrong profile." The instant you say "so, being a professional pearl diver must be very exciting" and she reminds you that she's an assistant insurance adjuster, you can pretty much cross her off your "hot date" list.
Tip to try: This is where your note-taking skills from your school days come in handy. Scribble yourself a little cheat sheet about the person, with real name and user name highlighted in the fluorescent color of your choice, and refer to this when dialing.

Phone hang-up #4: Not calling when you say you will.
Believe it or not, there are people who take their phone calls seriously, and will actually schedule their time to receive or initiate one (these folks are what is called "polite"). "There was one guy who specifically told me to call on Wednesday at 8:30, and when I did, his answering machine picked up. I hung up without leaving a message, and half an hour later he still wasn't home," says Andrea Christopher, 35, of Boston. By the same token, it's bad form to say you'll call at a certain time, then send a lame email the next day apologizing for the mix-up. If your date is smart, she'll forego the rescheduled phone call for a more attentive prospect.
Tip to try: If you set up a phone date, make sure you turn up for it, just as you would for a real-world date. Use Post-its, program your PC's calendar to remind you, or whatever tactic will make things happen for you.

Now, let me leave you with three last guidelines for a great phone call:
1) Give her (him in our case) your full attention. Nothing turns a prospect off like hearing an episode of Fame Gurukul blaring away in the background.
2) Ask lots of questions. This applies in real life, too, but on the phone, especially, a love interest appreciates being able to get a word in edgewise (unless he or she is actually ignoring you and watching Fame Gurukul ).
3) Know when to hang up. If the conversation begins to drift, it's better to wrap things up with a perky "Gotta go now! Let's talk again soon!" than to ask your date what he or she thinks about the war in Iraq.

Hope it helps...

Thanks Regards

From: "utkarsh" [EMAIL PROTECTED]Reply-To: Following is a story written by me. Do let me know what you thinkabout it.Regards,Utkarsh.I have never been a winner. Always on the outskirts, never there, never on spot. Throughout my school years, I used to be in the topfew; college was not much different. So, when my room mate confessedin me that he is so totally smitten by my friend Aarif, I thought tomyself – "there you go again!".Krishna Nathanial Parker, my flat mate for the past one year and sevenmonths is a nice bloke. He is lucky in love in a very unlucky sort ofway. A guy he likes is very likely to be already in
love with him. Butsomehow things have never worked out for him. He has had 5 serious andmany non serious affairs. That's a lot considering his age of 23 years.Krish was born to British father Indian mother. I advertised for agay flat mate on the net and of the 3 guys I had short listed Krishwas the most eligible of them. Born and brought up in Liverpool; atalented musician who dreams of making it big in Bollywood; hadalready been in India for 2 years when we met; Kind and humble andvery brainy (sort of); also beautiful. So, he moved in with me. We hadthis understanding from the beginning that we will keep our personallives to ourselves. Sigh! Only I have no personal life to keep fromothers. So, Krish moved in with me and we were doing well. He kept tohis room mostly and I didn't miss him much when he was not around.I
CANNOT go on a date with a stranger. It just freaks me out. I triedgoing against my instincts once - made a complete fool of myself – andreturned home with a bruised and battered dignity. So advertising fora roommate was like participating in Fear Factor - like being jailedin a 3x3 box with 2 dozen fat rats. Not that disgusting, butdefinitely as fearsome. My friend Aarif egged me to do so.Now Aarif… is another story. He's my oldest friend and the only personin my world who knows I am homosexual. I came out to him after thefiasco that my first date was, almost two and a half years ago. Ireturned from the date all sad and depressed… and there he was, waiting for me all "EARS" to know about the hot girl I had describedto him. I was so humiliated, I couldn't help but cry. And when hetried making me feel better my crying grew even louder. He
kept sayingthings like "there are more girls out there and definitely kinder thanthe one I had just met". I felt the need of telling him the truthabout me. Looking at his concern I felt as if I was cheating him.Sometime during that night when I was not crying anymore I came out tohim. He took it in his stride. Up till that day he had been out of mycircle of eligible boyfriends. After that day I started looking at himfrom a different angle – the dream angle – where I and he livedhappily ever after. Sigh!I never saw Krish as a competitor. He is the ideal gay guy. Verycomfortable with himself, out to every one he knows. words ofkindness, his humility, his supportiveness and care, his protectiveattitude towards me and his loyalty to me as a friend – everything wastaking me closer and closer to him. My dreams included a penthouseapartment on Worli sea face, with a large terrace where we would haveour coffee in the morning – his black and strong and mine with sugar milk. Yum!A couple of months after Krish moved in with me I gave a party whereKrish met Aarif for the first time. They hit it off from the verybeginning. Much to my discomfort, they talked through out the party. After the party the three of us were together many times – mostly oninsistence of Krish. They traversed the distance between friendlyacquaintances to good friends pretty quickly. Like within a couple ofweeks. This became a matter of grave concern to me. My only respitewas in the fact that Krish would never fall for a straight guy andAarif is not gay, not even bisexual. Still, whenever I saw Krishgetting comfy with Aarif I felt like going up to him and hitting sohard in his balls that they come

COVER STORYThe Battle Over Gay TeensWhat happens when you come out as a kid? How America’s gay youths are challenging the right—and the left.By John Cloud

In May, David Steward, a former president of TV Guide, and his partner Pierre Friedrichs, a caterer, hosted an uncomfortably crowded cocktail party at their Manhattan apartment. It was a typical gay fund raiser—there were lemony vodka drinks with mint sprigs; there were gift bags with Calvin Klein sunglasses; Friedrichs prepared little blackened-tuna-with-mango-chutney hors d’oeuvres that were served by uniformed waiters. Billionaire philanthropist Edgar Bronfman Sr. was there; David Mixner, a gay activist and longtime friend of Bill Clinton’s, was holding court with Jason Moore, director of the Broadway musical Avenue Q.
But the odd thing was that the gay (and gay-friendly) élite had gathered to raise money not for one of its established charities—the Human Rights Campaign, say, or the Democratic National Committee—but for an obscure organization that has quietly become one of the fastest-growing gay groups in the U.S., the Point Foundation. Launched in 2001, Point gives lavish (often full-ride) scholarships to gay students. It is one of the few national groups conceived explicitly to help gay kids, and it is a leading example of how the gay movement is responding to the emergence this decade of hundreds of thousands of openly gay youths.
Kids in the States are disclosing their homosexuality with unprecedented regularity—and they are doing so much younger. The average gay person now comes out just before or after graduating high school, according to The New Gay Teenager, a book Harvard University Press published earlier this year. The book quotes a Penn State study of 350 young people from 59 gay groups that found that the mean age at which lesbians first have sexual contact with other girls is 16; it’s just 14 for gay boys. In 1997 there were approximately 100 gay-straight alliances (gsas)—clubs for gay and gay-friendly kids—on U.S. high school campuses. Today there are at least 3,000 gsas—nearly 1 in 10 high schools has one—according to the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (glsen, say “glisten”), which registers and advises gsas. In the 2004-05 academic year, gsas were established at U.S. schools at the rate of three per day.
The appearance of so many gay adolescents has, predictably, worried social conservatives, but it has also surprised gay activists, who for years did little to help the few teenagers who were coming out. Both sides sense high stakes. “Same-sex marriage—that’s out there. But something going on in a more fierce and insidious way, under the radar, is what’s happening in our schools,” says Mathew Staver, president of Liberty Counsel, an influential conservative litigation group that earlier this year won a court order blocking a Montgomery County, Maryland, teachers’ guide that disparaged Evangelicals for their views on gays. “They”—gay activists—“know if they make enough inroads into [schools], the same-sex-marriage battle will be moot.”
Most gay activists would rather swallow glass than say Mat Staver was right about something, but they know that last year’s big ucla survey of university freshmen found that 57% favor same-sex marriage (only about 36% of all adults do). Even as adult activists bicker in court, young Americans—including many young conservatives—are becoming thoroughly, even nonchalantly, gay-positive. From young ages, straight kids are growing up with more openly bisexual, gay and sexually uncertain classmates. In the 1960s, gay men recalled first desiring other males at an average age of 14; it was 17 for lesbians. By the ’90s, the average had dropped to 10 for gays and 12 for lesbians, according to more than a dozen studies reviewed by the author of The New Gay Teenager, Ritch Savin-Williams, who chairs Cornell’s human-development department.
Children who become aware of their homosexual attractions no longer need endure the baleful combination of loneliness and longing that characterized the childhoods of so many gay adults. Gay kids can now watch fictional and real teens who are out on shows like Desperate

g_b SENIOR CITIZENS (Joke)

2005-10-05 Thread Sweet Angel

Many times i read classifieds asking for young guys sometimes some people are downright rude write that "old guys need not contact them".

Here is a joke, hope it drills some sense into the old-phobic guys;)

SENIOR CITIZENSA college student at a recent football game challenged a senior citizen sitting next to him, saying it was impossible for their generation to understand his.
"You grew up in a different world," the student said loud enough for the whole crowd to hear.
"Today we have television, jet planes, space travel, man has walked on the Moon,
our spaceships have visited Mars, we even have nuclear energy, electric and hydrogen cars, computers with light-speed processing anduh "

Taking advantage of a pause in the student's litany, the old man said,

"You're right. We didn't have those things when we were young, so we invented them!

Now what the hell are YOU doing for the next generation??"

Dear Suhail,
Thanks for letting me know that you are a member since 1 year.
In this 1 year you have posted5 messages including the 1 that you wrote regarding mastrubation. This is your 6th message. That makes your previous messages (pre mastrubation mail)as 4.
Out of the4 messages that you posted, previous toyour reply to mastrubation,2 were classifieds where you were looking out for friends/mates.
I was just wondering that since you are the only guy here who feels that our friend Jimmy gave out the right information or was right as usual, I dont think that you being in Indore, the same place where our friend Jimmy also puts up is just a co-incidence.
But then maybe Iam wrong about this. Maybe you just wanted to give out your opinion.

g_b Joke

2005-09-28 Thread Sweet Angel

Three sons left home, started careers and prospered.
Getting back together, they discussed the gifts that they were able to give their elderly mother for her seventieth birthday.
The first said, "I built a big house for Mom."
The second said, "I sent her a Mercedes with a driver."
The third smiled and said, "I've got you both beat. You know how Mom enjoys the Bible and you know she can't see very well. I sent her a brown parrot that can recite the entire Bible. It took 20 monks in a monastery 12 years to teach him. I had to pledge to contribute $100,000 a year for 10 years, but it was worth it. Mom just has to name the chapter and verse and the parrot will recite it."
Soon thereafter, Mom sent out letters of thanks:
She wrote to the first son, "Milton, the house you built is not practical. I live in only one room, but I have to heat, cool, and clean the whole house."
She wrote to the second son, "Marvin, I am too old to travel. I stay home all the time, so I never use the Mercedes. And the driver is so rude!"
She wrote the third son, "Dearest Melvin, you were the only son to have the good sense to know what your mother likes. The chicken was delicious."

RE: g_b KNOW YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS-GAY SPECIFIC INFORMATION:

Thanks for the mail.
Undoubtly one of the best mails I have ever read here.

From: "Ketan_" [EMAIL PROTECTED]Reply-To: gay_bombay@yahoogroups.comTo: gay_bombay@yahoogroups.comSubject: g_b KNOW YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS-GAY SPECIFIC INFORMATION:Date: Wed, 28 Sep 2005 10:37:26 -courtesy gb=KNOW YOUR RIGHTSGAY SPECIFIC INFORMATION:1. If you find yourself being interrogated, it is not necessary or advisable to describe your sex life or sex acts that you commit. If someone keeps insisting, respectfully say "It is my private business", or suggest that its none of their business. Though some homosexual acts are a crime in India, it is NOT A CRIME TO BE GAY. if the fact of your sexual orientation comes out, it does not make you a criminal in the eyes of the law, even with the presence of Sec 377 I.P.C. I think not knowing this fact is the
ESSENCE of the fear and ignorance of gay men that leads to their harassment, blackmail etc., and I cannot overstress this point enough.2. Also, if someone threatens you with Sec 377, know that you have a VALIANT SOLDIER on your side, called Section 389. Section 389: Offence: Putting a person in fear of accusation of an offence punishable by death, imprisonment for life or imprisonment for 10 years IN ORDER TO COMMIT EXTORTION. Punishment: Imprisonment for 10 years and fine. If the offence is an unnatural offence, the punishment for the extortion attempt is an imprisonment for life! What this means is that if someone threatens to have you arrested under 377 in order to blackmail you or extort money you, you can turn right round and tell him, "I will have YOU arrested under section 389 for threatening me with
extortion!"3. Will the police call my parents? If you find yourself in trouble and the police threaten to phone/meet your parents, mention that you are an adult and not a minor. Say that you are capable of handling your own affairs, and that they should not be involved. However there is nothing you can legally do to prevent them from contacting your parents in the course of their investigation. But if they are contacting your parents with the sole aim of extorting money from them/scaring you into paying up, then that is a crime.4. While filing a complaint, giving a false name and address is an offence. It is necessary to give your name and contact information.5. If they demand to have your mobile phone, wallet or any other object, ask for them to make the demand in writing, take their signed written demand and then hand the
phone etc. over.6. If a policeman says he is going to arrest you, he should be wearing a visible name tag with his id and designation.7. Respectfully ask for the policeman's id and take down all the details on the ID card and keep them with you. Address the officers as "Sir" always, however low his rank may be, or however high your social status may be. 8. If you get a blackmailer punished for harassing you, and he gets out on bail, don't worry. A precondition of the bail is that he cannot intimidate you, or else the bail stands cancelled.9. Anyone can file an FIR, even a friend of yours if you cannot at that moment. Also you cannot be made to run around from one station to another. As mentioned previously the nearest police station has to take the complaint and then forward it to the jurisdiction police station.
10. If you get into trouble on a local train, or the tracks, or the stations - the offence comes under the jurisdiction of the railway police and they have to be contacted. The railway police booth station is usually on the platform and just outside the station, any railways staff or the food stall-wallahs will direct you to it.11. Do not use obscenities to show that you are not scared. Do not threaten to contact some mythical higher-ups in the police. You will bring out hostility in the cops and make matters worse.12. Preferably talk in Marathi, as the police force is overwhelminglyMaharashtrian. If you can, take along a respectful friend who speaks good Marathi.13. If you hire a lawyer, tell them everything about yourself, including your sexual orientation. it will help them to fight the case better. Besides they
are obligated to respect your privacy and confidentiality.14. Don't start with the assumption of corruption and run around trying to bribe everyone. A vast number of police offers are honest and clean. Stand tall and have no fear. You are not in the wrong simply for being gay.15. Tell your gay friends what's happened to you. Share it with each other and with mailing lists like Gaybombay. It will enable others to help you, support you, as well as will prevent others from having the same problem. It will also enable us to catch the blackmailers and get them punished.16. Don't tease or deliberately provoke the police or people in public. You can stand on Marine Drive and smooch your boyfriend in broad daylight, but be prepared to face the consequences of your actions, and to stand your ground.17. Porn CDs: It is

But this false rumour about our National Anthem was too much.
I guess we should all before posting such forwarded lies to 1000s of our friends, use some discretion.
I hope iam not gonna come in the bad books of Sameer;) But lets face it, such emails should really not see the light of the day.
Rest is upto u all, as I know I will get another email asking me to use the delete button if i think the email wasnt right;)

I am NOT sorry to say that Sahil has made a HUGE mistake about the national anthem interpretation if he has done it himself. I am myself a Bengali and I have read the whole of the original composition in Bengali. The interpretation seems to be a complete MISINTERPRETATION and intentional. And am NOT sorry to say this. I REALLY mean it. I will SHOW youhow.

THIS EMAIL WAS RECEIVED BY ME THIS MORNING WHICH I AM NOW FORWARDING TO YOU ALL. POEPLE LIVING IN INDIA WOULD KNOW - EXACTLY HOW MUCH TRUTH IS IN THIS EMAIL MESSAGE
There is absolutely NO truth in this e-mail.Facts about "Jana Gana Mana" - Just a thought for the National Anthem! How well do you know about it? I have always wondered who is the "adhinayak" and "bharat bhagya vidhata", whose praise we are singing. I thought might be Motherland India!
Its the Human being, its we the INDIANS.

Our current National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana" is sung throughout the country. Did you know the following about our national anthem, I didn't. To begin with, India's national anthem, Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka, was written by Rabindranath Tagore in honour of King George V and the Queen of England when they visited India in 1919.
Absolutely ridiculous. In the year 1919 Jaliwanwalabagh massacre happened and in the wake of it Rabindranath Tagore gave up his knighthood i.e., Sir title which he earned following his winning of Nobel Prize in 1913 for his immortal "Geetanjali".To honour their visit Pandit Motilal Nehru had the five stanzas included, which are in praise of the King and Queen. (And most of us think it is in the praise of our great motherland!!!)
About Motilal Nehru jees composition I have no idea as i have not read them. I will not comment on that.

In the original Bengali verses only those provinces that were under British rule, i.e. Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat, Maratha etc. were mentioned.None of the princely states were recognised which are integral parts of Indianow Kashmir, Rajasthan, Andhra, Mysore or Kerala. Neither the Indian Ocean nor the Arabian Sea was included, since they were directly under Portuguese rule at that time.
I should ask the interpretor to read the line next to what he has described. There is reference of Punjab, Sindh, Gujrat, Maratha, Dravid, Utkal, Banga. Dravid includes Mysore, Kerala, Andhra. If people does not know for them the whole of south India is known as Dravid Land.

Neither the Indian Ocean nor the Arabian Sea was included, since they were directly under Portuguese rule at that time.
Again another loophole. The next lines say Vindhya Himachal Jamuna Ganga uchchhal jaladhitaranga. It refers to the Vindhyas, Himalayas and the seas. I hope you all heard the term "Asamudrahimachalam" used for INDIA. That word means stretching form the Himalayas to the Indian Ocean.

The Jana Gana Mana Adhinayaka implies that King George V is the lord of the masses and Bharata Bhagya Vidhata is "the bestower of good of good fortune".
That's totally a wrong idea and misinterpretation.

Following is a translation of the five stanzas that glorify the King:
NOT AT ALL

First stanza: (Indian) People wake up remembering your good name and ask for your blessings and they sing your glories.
(Tava shubhanaame jaage;tava shubha aashish maage, gaaye tava jaya gaatha)
Tava means your and your refers to the Motherland i.e., INDIA only. Tava shubha aashish maage isthe prayer to seek blessing from Mother and gaaye tava jaya gaatha is the promise to sing the glory of mother.Second stanza: Aroundyour throne people of all religions come and give their love and anxiously wait to hear your kind words.
Again a mistake. The second stanza tells about the "Sarvadharma samnayay". Its about the communal harmony.Third stanza: Praise to the King for being the charioteer, for leading the ancient travellers beyond misery.
Who told this is the interpretation?! Its only about making us aware of our glory our legacy.Fourth

Re: g_b whats love..?? can gay people actually experince true love..!

2005-09-18 Thread Sweet Angel

Hey Raahu,
Thanks for yr email.
It was very touching. Nice to know that someone can pen out his emotions so openly honestly.
I have had such feelings too but only for girls. Dont know why with guys I cant really love them as..."love'. And many guys I know say the same things. Maybe we are not yet as gay as..."gays".
So maybe what Lezwin was saying has a point too as he told me he was in a very bad relation for more then a year, but the good news is that he has found someone very recently. So I guess he would be changing his mind soon (I Hope).

Love Regards

No dear...It can exist...Don't count me lucky...But then it has happened in my
life. I have been friends with a person for nearly two years and due to some highly personal reasons we have decided to abstain from anything physical.
We have even decided not to go beyond a casual touch. Yes, there is a reason for this. Initially it was very very painful for me [ though I can't talk about his feelings] But strangely enough the amount of care, mindsharing etc which we share is beautiful. At this stage of life [ we don't stay together and we do not meet often] we can't really think of a world without each other. Though I am always practical and joke to him saying that our friendship may wither awayafter some time, he tells me that it won't happen till his last breath, and sings the song " Tere Mere Sapne" from the film Guide, which leaves my eyes moist. And please believe me-- this love, many a times is a million times more pleasurable that sex.

Strange are the ways of life isn't it? Never lose hope. Though life can't be always the way one expects it to be.

Best wishes,

2005-09-11 Thread Sweet Angel

Dear Jimmy,
Here is the proof that you are shouting for that you have been copy pasting all your emails from the web.
This is yr last one regarding Anti Ageing Cream. Its titled - "Skin Beauty... Do Antiaging Creams Really Turn Back the Clock?" By:Warren Matthews
The link is - http://www.skin-care-support.org/forum/about12.html
The 12nd one is about your Olive Oil thingy -

Olive Oil In Your Beauty Routine?
By: Melissa Eaton
Link - http://www.pioneerthinking.com/me_oliveoil.html

I could go on on about each of your emails, but I know my friends out here are intelligent enough to understand what i mean so i will save my time, their time you some embarassment.
Dear Jimmy, just because some of us appreciate your post say some kind words about your emails, that does not mean that you insult our intelligence expect us to belive that you are the author of all the articles that you have written.
Kindly give credit to the real writers the beauticians who have written these articles share their name along with the title the way some guy I think Rajiv does write 'Author Unknow" when he send us his nice poetries.
Thanks sorry if I was harsh but then I thought this was the language you all would have expected from am_i_hot_or_r_u ;)
Thanks Regards

PS: Since Iam writing this for the 1st time over here I thought I might as well apologise to Prakash too. We have cleared out the misunderstanding after all Iam waiting for him to take me out for a drink;)
