this is to follow-up that the mirror has been re-added and is
working again.

That said, Sergey, there is now a bit (too) much of link farming
going on there. One or two links are fine, but can you please
tone down the current set of six or so?

I looked into this, and it seems this mirror "only" carries our releases?

http://gcc.gnu.org/mirrors.html is ment to list those sites that mirror
gcc.gnu.org directly, including our weekly snapshots and RCs. For sites
that carry releases, we refer to the main GNU mirror list.

[ gcc -> gcc-patches ]

After some off-list conversations with Alex and updates on his mirror,
we now have a new full mirror of gcc.gnu.org ;-) and I am committing
the patch below.

I was just going to add your server by means of the patch below,
alas all attempts to rach the server time out. What's going on?

these did not look like GCC mirrors to me. ;-) I have now
applied a patch that I created and https://gcc.gnu.org/mirrors.html
now has links to current mirrors one of your colleagues provided.

As I wrote in June 2013, "then send us a patch for

free to copy me)" is the best way to get that page of ours updated.

Is the situation still as bad for GCC 4.0.0 (and GCC 4.0.1)? If this
is the case, I recommend telling [EMAIL PROTECTED] so that they can
remove broken mirrors or work on resolving the problems.

Phew, that's at least not as bad.

If you are aware of any stale mirrors, or anyone else is, I'd appreciate
could you complain to the server maintainers and, if there is no response
forthcoming in time, remove that mirror from the mirrors.html page (Cc:ing
the server maintainers on the message to gcc-patches).

When I did that in the past, responses where generally good.

you can just start by mirroring our server and then advise us of it
via the last paragraph at http://gcc.gnu.org/mirrors.html (or by
simply submitting a patch against that page, actually).

Thanks,

Basically you can just go ahead and start mirroring; I assume you'll
want to take .

Once your first mirroring pass is done, we'd appreciate a patch for
our http://gcc.gnu.org/mirrors.html web page.

appears the mirroring stopped end of February/beginning of March.
