[gdal-dev] Re: how can I compile GDAL 1.7.3 with ecw 4.1 in Virsual Studio 2010
hi Jean and everone Many thanks for the reply. I could quickly test gdal17.dll with gdaltranslate and could convert ecw. file to jpeg foramt file. Does that mean gdal17.dll is ok and it's MapServer5.6.5 is wrong here? or how can I test MapServer5.6.5 connection to gdal? -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/how-can-I-compile-GDAL-1-7-3-with-ecw-4-1-in-Virsual-Studio-2010-tp5765934p5777198.html Sent from the GDAL - Dev mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ gdal-dev mailing list gdal-dev@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/gdal-dev
[gdal-dev] Xerces 3.0.1 and Gdal 1.7
Hi Everyone, Its been a long time ,i have interacted. off late i have tried building gdal with the xerces support to read/write gml. I have done using several options as mentioned in http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/1988 but none has helped. Everytime parser headers have been found but it has failed to detect libraries. My folder structure for xerces is /local bin include ( xercesc folder with standard structure) lib. and within lib i have libxerces-c.a , libxerces-c.dll.a , libxerces-c.la. I am using msys with mingw 3.2 and gcc 4.4 for compilation. Do I need to change the configure file of gdal or follow different process ? And I have read document drv_gml.html in /ogr_formats/gml. It is speaking about gml's support with xerces but was not clear with expat. Is GML reading and writing supported through Expat also ? Any advice would be of great help. Thank you. [gdal-dev] RFC 31 - OGR 64bit Support
Folks, In the interest of moving towards a GDAL/OGR 1.8 release I have done some work on RFC 31 - 64bit integers for OGR fields and FIDs. I've updated the RFC itself somewhat, and done a preliminary implementation of the RFC on my own system with a reasonable level of success. I'm asking for additional comment on the RFC at: http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/rfc31_ogr_64 The implications and complications of this update are greater than I had first anticipated and even with what I've done so far I'm sure lots of additional glitches will come out of the wood work. Unfortunately, this is not funded work for me so it is hard to apply the level of effort that I would like to it. In short, I'm a bit nervous about implementing this RFC though now that I've sunk 2-3 days into the prototype work I'm hesitant to throw it away either. :-) Thoughts welcome.
