[x] Source code artifacts have correct names matching the current release.
[x] All source files have license headers if necessary.
[x] Build successfully with command `mvn clean install -DskipTests` on
JDK-1.8.0_202.

One nit but not blocker issue about vote counter[1]. We should count with

[x] Download links are valid.
[x] Checksums and PGP signatures are valid.
[x] LICENSE files exist.
[x] NOTICE is included.
[x] DISCLAIMER is included.
[x] Source code artifacts have correct names matching the current release.
[x] All source files have license headers if necessary.
[x] Use `./scripts/verify.py` to verify and build the core module, it works
fine.

One nit but not blocker issue is that README.md does not include `how to
build`
or `how to build sub-module`. It will be helpful to newbies if include it.

Re: [VOTE] Release Apache OpenDAL (incubating) 0.36.0-rc1 (Round 2)

2023-06-05 Thread Xiaoqiao He

[x] Download links are valid.
[x] Checksums and PGP signatures are valid.
[x] LICENSE files exist.
[x] NOTICE is included.
[x] DISCLAIMER is included.
[x] Source code artifacts have correct names matching the current release.
[x] All source files have license headers if necessary.
[x] Checked no binary files in source package.

NOTE: README.md does not include `how to build.` (Which Willem was
concerned about last round.). I try to compile from source with `cargo
build`
(From tison mentioned above), it works well. IMO it is not a blocker issue.

2023-05-09 Thread Xiaoqiao He
Thanks Hulk for initiating this discussion.

 +1 from my side.

As one mentor of Kvrocks project, I have seen the Kvrocks community
is growing up and has become more diverse since incubation. I believe
"Apache Way'' has been well followed by Kvrocks community and it will
continue to lead Kvrocks into next success.

I think it is time for Kvrocks podling to step forward to become a TLP
of Apache.

BTW, The following statement should be "bringing the total number of
committers to 19." from my view. (PPMC members vs committers)

Re: [VOTE] Release Apache Kvrocks(incubating) 2.1.0

2022-08-01 Thread Xiaoqiao He
+1(binding),

- Verified signature and checksum.
- Built successfully from the source on MacOS by `x.py build`.
- No binary files in the src distribution except ./docs/images, it is fine
in my opinion.
- DISCLAIMER and NOTICE look good.
- All source files include ASF headers.

Re: [DISCUSSION] Incubating proposal of Kvrocks

2022-04-10 Thread Xiaoqiao He
+1.

Thanks for starting this thread, Liang!

I'm very glad to be the mentor of this project. I've connected with
the core team online several times, and was attracted by their
contributions, collaborations and willingness.
Hope this project could be accepted by the incubator, and push forward
healthily to build up a better community!

Best Regards,
- He Xiaoqiao
