IMO You should discuss this with Infra. Maybe start asking on slack ..,

The only issue with the page right now is the missing ASF organization
in the Marketplace, similar to what we have in Github. Who can create
the organization in the Jetbrains Marketplace?

So I thought there was more content which would require transferring IP rights.
But if it's just a trivial bit of a web page, no issues.

Ok, I will prepare the IP Clearance form and post it here (or add to a
repo), then we can call for the vote.

Not sure what you mean by "the web site", I assume you refer to [1],
which is just a plugin page in Jetbrains Marketplace. And Jetbrains
asked if we (ASF) own an organization in the Marketplace to transfer
ownership of the plugin in the Marketplace.

The donation has been recorded via SGA. So the paperwork on that is still to
call for a vote for IP Clearance.

But does the SGA cover the web site as well? That's the only paperwork still
needed from Jetbrains in order for us to copy the web content.

This was already done and the secretary confirmed the donation (as far
I understood)

What's left is to prepare the IP Clearance form and submit it into a
repo (which one?), right?

I think we would also want a SGA from Jetbrains and go through [1] for the
donation.

Re: ASF at Jetbrains

2024-02-19 Thread PJ Fanning
Hi Lukasz,

Could you raise an INFRA JIRA to transfer the GitHub repo?

An alternative is to create a new ASF git repo and copy the history
from an existing repo. You can create the new repo using
https://selfserve.apache.org/

And GitHub provides the tooling for copying git history from an
existing repo into an empty repo.

PJ

ASF at Jetbrains

2024-02-19 Thread Lukasz Lenart
Hi,

The Apache Struts team took over the IntelliJ IDEA Struts 2 plugin
ownership - the code has been donated by the Jetbrains (the papers
have been signed and already confirmed by the secretary). Right now
they would like to transfer ownership of the plugin's page as well and
they ask if ASF owns an organization at https://plugins.jetbrains.com/
already. Could you help?
