Re: [gentoo-user] Partition Magic
There's also a frontend to parted, called QTparted. Which i heard looks a LOT like pqmagic. http://qtparted.sourceforge.net/ Try it out. It has recently been told to me that apparently part of the EULA is worded in that the licence is for a single machine, non-transferrable. To the effect that if you purchased a new computer, you would have to buy a new copy of PM for that machine. I dont have a copy around to verify, so I figured I'd ask on here since the topic came up. -- Chris I Swahili, n.: The language used by the National Enquirer to print their retractions. -- Johnny Hart pgp0.pgp Description: PGP signature

Of course if you know on which cylinders/sectors each partition starts and ends, you can recreate them in fdisk, (possibly) cfdisk, or gparted. cfdisk offers less control over where the partitions start and end, but if you created them originally in cfdisk, it might be a good idea to use it again, since I would expect it to choose the same start and end points as the first time if given the same inputs. - richard -- Richard Kilgore [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list

Hi Kevin, The demo version won't allow you to save/write the partition table.
