hello.

thanks for the input, but i think mosaic is not an option (or im
not understanding the functioning of the plugin).
I do not need to join them in a single layer.
I have, for example, a raster with info from last week, and another from
the week before, on the same location.
my question was, if i need to create a separate store for each GeoTiff, or
there is another method to access them

thanks for the inputs,

[Geoserver-users] Multiple Tiff files inside same folder

2022-02-21 Thread Filipe Silva
Hello.

If i have a folder with multiple tiff files, do i need to create a single
layer for each TIFF, or is there another way to access them?

Ive investigated the Mosaic plugin but it doesn't seems to do what i want.

[Geoserver-users] internal geofence - is it possible to deny admin access to a workspace?

2020-10-09 Thread Ricardo Filipe Soares Garcia da
Hi all

I'm using GeoServer v2.17.2 in a GeoNode installation. I'm using the
internal Geofence plugin to manage access permissions to both data and
admin.

I have multiple workspaces and have created Geofence admin rules to limit
access to these. However, access type seems limited to either `USER` or
`ADMIN`. What I really want is to be able to `DENY` access to a workspace
based on the current user role.

Is this possible?

My concrete problem is that I don't want users with ROLE_A to be able to
access a store that belongs to WORKSPACE_X. Therefore I would like to be
able to set up a Geofence admin rule that would DENY access to WORKSPACE_X
for users with ROLE_A.

What is currently happening instead is that users with ROLE_A are able to
access this store which belongs to WORKSPACE_X, even without any explcit
Geofence rule being in place to allow this.

This is surprising to me, since I've not set any Geofence admin rule for
this. So I guess the default Geofence admin rule allows all roles access to
all workspaces?

[Geoserver-users] Raster Reprojection

2019-10-08 Thread Filipe Silva
Im trying to make a WMS Request using OpenLayers3, with a OSM Base map
(EPSG:3857).
The raster data on geoserver is on EPSG:32629.

Somehow(?!) my setup worked fine till recently.
The raster image correctly appeared on the map even with
different projections.

After the update to 2.15.2 my layers are no longer displayed.
I traced the problem to a reprojection issue but couldn't quite figure it
out.

my request is basically:
var untiled = new ol.layer.Image({
source: new ol.source.ImageWMS({
ratio: 1,
url: 'http://mygeo/geoserver/ws/wms',
params: {
'FORMAT': 'image/png',
'VERSION': '1.1.1',
"LAYERS": 'ws:myraster'
}
})
});

i've tried setting the 'SRS' parameter on the request (adding it to the
params) but OL forces the 3857.

On the geoserver, the raster layer is configured with both native and
declared SRS with 32629 and "Force Declared".

Any Thoughts that might help ?

Re: [Geoserver-users] WMS Request with cql_filter on diferent projection

2018-01-23 Thread Filipe Silva
Hello.
Problem found.
Imported the bbox polygon to qgis and found out that everthing was working
right. the problem was with the code passed to the cql_filter.

All is working the way it is supposed. the reprojection works just fine.

@andread,
thanks. remove it. was remains of wfs layer logic.

Thanks all for your time.

Re: [Geoserver-users] WMS Request with cql_filter on diferent projection

2018-01-22 Thread Filipe Silva
Hello.

Yes. It does work with the original srs(the one the data is in - i can
even set a cql filter in layer preview on geoserver and it does work)

My base layer ( on openlayers) and data layer (on geoserver) are indeed
diferent projections.

Also the full request, with no cql_filtet, also works.
Only after I set cql_filter (with the same parameters) it does not work.

Regards

[Geoserver-users] WMS Request with cql_filter on diferent projection

2018-01-22 Thread Filipe Silva
hello.

I have a layer on geoserver with data on EPSG:3763.
Im accessing it with openlayers on a WMS request on wich the base layer is
in EPSG:3857.
ive already included the proj4 3763 on openlayers.

Now, if make a simple wms request with params:
&SRS=EPSG%3A3857&srsname=EPSG%3A3857
and a BBOX with coordinates on 3857
all goes right and i get the data.

when i add a cql_filter on the data with the same params as before, nothing
is shown.

is this the correct behavior?

Re: [Geoserver-users] - GetLegendGraphic Filter

2017-10-16 Thread Filipe Silva
hello.

thanks for the reply.
it is a very complex style, so i'm using css.

ive already tried the
&legend_options=countMatched:true;
with no success (it works as it suposed to. shows the feature count on each
rule but dont filter the ones i want)

Shouldnt CQL_FILTER work to ?

[Geoserver-users] - GetLegendGraphic Filter

2017-10-13 Thread Filipe Silva
Hello.

Im trying to show a WMS Legend.
It shows up nicely but i need to show only parts of it.

if i have the following style:
/* @title tipo1  */
[Tipo = 1] { fill: #00FF00; }
/* @title tipo2 */
[Tipo = 2] { fill: #FF; }

it shows up a legend with 2 entrys. correct!

if i had the CQL_FILTER:
&CQL_FILTER=Tipo=1

i was expecting to only show the "Tipo1" style legend as stated in "Content
dependent legends" documentation, but it still shows both entrys.

Is this the correct behaviour?
Is there a way to achieve what i want?

regards.

ok, i think we're getting somewhere!
i did those steps but sent the stats on the tif, my bad.

using the stats on the vrt, i calculated min and max with your previous

the percentiles are a bit odd:

nevertheless, i used the values of the formula and get the following

is there a way to correct the brightness down?

also, to apply "gamma stretch" (as in arcgis) we need to use the

[Geoserver-users] Raster Normalize

2017-08-01 Thread Filipe
Hello,I'm trying to add a raster layer to geoserver.currently i can see it in
ArcGis with a style definition of "RGB Composite", all the channels set to
the corresponding banc (red, green and blue), and a Stretch of the type
"Percent Clip".This gives me an image of something like this:
<http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/file/n5330021/i1.jpg>
ive configured the same Tif file at geoserver and it shows at preview.

<http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/file/n5330021/i2.jpg>
now im trying to set the style to something close to the previous one.after
digging at the documentation i came up of something like:
the problem is this that this is not recognized as a valid sld at the style
editor:
is this the correct way to accomplish this?What am i doing wrong at the
style?regards,Filipe

Re: [Geoserver-users] x86 Java Memory usage

2016-03-14 Thread Filipe
Hello.

The size of the JRE process:
private bytes: 1300 mb
working set: 1230 mb
virtual size: 1621 mb

im placing the questions to better understand how java and geoserver uses
memory.
for two reasons:
first, from time to time, im getting a few crashes with an out of memory
exception, and the java VM, crashes.
second, im updating the current system to a better one with more hardware
and memory, latest geoserver, and configuring a load balancer in that
machine (two instances of tomcat each with one geoserver and iis as load
balancer). so im trying to understand all the values so i can correctly
configure each java VM.

The thing with the x64 java is that if i use it, i wont have the native JAI,
and from my test a while ago, the decrease in performance is relevant.

regards,
filipe

[Geoserver-users] x86 Java Memory usage

2016-03-11 Thread Filipe
Hello.

I got a question regarding memory usage on a deployed system.

VirtualMachine, win2008 x64, 4 cpu, 6gb Memory, Java x86, Geoserver 2.5.1
running inside Tomcat7.
using the following relevant options.
set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -server
set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m
-XX:PermSize=128m
set JAVA_OPTS=%JAVA_OPTS% -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+UseParNewGC
-XX:ParallelGCThreads=4 -XX:NewRatio=2 -XX:+AggressiveOpts

All is fine but, the memory usage on the machine is as follows:
Physical Memory:
Total: 6143
Cached: 3296
Avaliable: 3398
Free:50

My question is regarding the ammount of avaliable memory VS the free.
Why is this happening? is it because of the limit on the x86 java VM ?

if someone can clarify, it will be most helpfull.

Regards,
Filipe

[Geoserver-users] SLD Rule for Country Borders

2014-03-06 Thread Filipe
Hello Everyone.

I have a layer with countrys information.
I have a simple SLD (at the end) for it that fills the polygon and draw the
surrondings.
All is fine and the result is as espected.

Now, i want to change the SLD for the surroundings of the polygon (stroke),
only gets drawed if it has another polygon adjacent to it.
In short, i only want to draw the countrys borders and not all of it.

i have a property with the country name. I cant distinguish by that, but i
dont know how.
Intercect, touches.. i havent been hable to make this to work.
I dont know how to make a condition that states something like:
my current coutryNameProperty is FR. if i have a polygon next to me with
coutryNameProperty diferent than mine, then draw the border.

Any help will be greatly apreciated.

Hello,

I don't know if helps, but once I restart tomcat and geoserver never
restarted, I realize that the jvm (Oracle 7) was still active and keep the
geoserver active so it didnt restart.

I solve the problem by finding the jvm and kill it, restart tomcat and
everything worked fine.

[Geoserver-users] SLD trying to get ride of the no-data black stripes

2012-06-12 Thread Filipe Vieira
Hello,

I am doing a project with geoserver here
http://autoprobadtm.cge.uevora.pt/maps/ all my raster images have a the
color black where is no-data,
so I am trying to style them to have transparency instead of black. I
alredy ready the geoserver documentation on SLD but since I am new to this
I don't understand how can I do this.

My SLD looks like this:

http://www.opengis.net/sld StyledLayerDescriptor.xsd"
 xmlns="http://www.opengis.net/sld";
 xmlns:ogc="http://www.opengis.net/ogc";
 xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink";
 xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance";>

default_raster

  Default Raster
  A sample style that draws a raster, good for displaying
imagery

  rule1
  Opaque Raster
  A raster with 100% opacity

    1.0

Thanks,

Filipe Vieira.

Re: [Geoserver-users] WMS requests not getting into FF and Chrome cache

2012-05-02 Thread Filipe
Hey there.

the thing is, ive installed fiddler in the geoserver machine, access the GWC
through the demo pages and check the requests.
None of them come with caching headers.

Any ideia why ?

hey there and thanks for the reply.

if the GWC is not setting the headers, is there anyway to configure it so it
does?

Also, why is it that in IE the tiles do get cached? any thoughts?

[Geoserver-users] WMS requests not getting into FF and Chrome cache

2012-04-27 Thread Filipe
Hey everyone.
Im having a weird behaviour when using OpenLayers with geoserver
my current setup is OL 2.11 requesting a WMS tiled layer from a different
server then the one running the website.

My WMS server is in another server using geoserver and im using GWC to serve
the tiles.
The tiles do get rendered in OL and show in map.
My problem is: on IE the tiles get stored in browser cache and subsequent
requests are obtained from browser cache.
This is the behaviour i want.

On FF and Chrome, none of the requests are getting into the browser cache,
meaning they all go the the server (and then show on map correctly).
This behaviour i do not want. Been searching and couldn't find out why this
is happening.

http://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/openlayers-dev/2010-March/005708.html The
above link talk about requests in the response.
I use fiddler to Analise them and its all ok (i think)
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Content-Length: 2923
Content-Type: image/png
Server: Microsoft-IIS/7.0
geowebcache-tile-index: [32, 22, 5]
X-Powered-By: ARR/2.5
X-Powered-By: ASP.NET Date: Thu, 26 Apr 2012 01:07:31 GMT

also, i dont have any "cache-control" on my pages.
Any thoughts on this?

how can i tell if GWC is sending the correct headers to tell the browsers to
store the tiles served?

Filipe

Re: [Geoserver-users] Installing JAI on x64 Machine

2012-04-26 Thread Filipe
hey there. Thanks for the reply.
I didnt do any extensive benchmarks but from a user point of view on layer
preview, the x32 with JAI is faster than x64 alone.
This might be because, from what i read, JREx64 is faster when there is
alot of memory avaliable. this is not the case.

Thanks for all the replys

Re: [Geoserver-users] where to set parameters to optimize jvm on windows default instalation

2012-04-26 Thread Filipe
i think i've found it

on the wrapper.conf
add the following:

wrapper.java.additional.3=-server
wrapper.java.additional.4=-Xmx512M -Xms512m
wrapper.java.additional.5=-XX:SoftRefLRUPolicyMSPerMB=36000
wrapper.java.additional.6=-XX:MaxPermSize=128m
wrapper.java.additional.7=-XX:NewRatio=2
#wrapper.java.additional.8=-XX:+UseParallelOldGC -XX:+UserParallelGC
#wrapper.java.additional.7=-XX:XX:+UseParallelGC

the last 2 parameters don't work. the geoserver doesn't starts.
Anyone know why?
Also, how can i tell if this parameters are correctly loaded ?

[Geoserver-users] Installing JAI on x64 Machine

2012-04-26 Thread Filipe
Hello everyone.

im installing a geoserver in a prodution Environment.
After installing, i was going through the link
http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/production/index.html Running in a
Production Environment and i have a question on the "Install native JAI
and JAI Image I/O extensions"

The thing is:
my machine is a windows server 2008 x64, with jre-6u31 x64, and im using a
postgres database(v9.1.3) with postGis.

Now, the JAI dosent have a x64 setup, and from what i searched, i dont work
with a x64 JRE.
Is that true?

now, if i unistall JRE x64, and install the x86 one, i will loose some
performance on the java.
Is the performance gain from the native JAI greater than the loss from the
x64 to x86 JRE?

Thanks in advance

Regards

hey there

Something like:
call "C:\Program Files (x86)\GeoServer 2.1.3\wrapper.exe" -t
wrapper/wrapper.conf -server -Xmx256M -Xms48m

By the way, the settings in wapper.conf are also loaded, right? Cause ive

Re: [Geoserver-users] How to dynamic SLD in geoserver

2011-06-09 Thread Filipe Aguilar Santana
I realised a project with very similar settings: geoserver, JSF2,
primefaces and ol4jsf.

This is what I'm using too Stefan! How did you pass that URL to GS?

Did use ol4jsf param? Can you give me a example?

See:

This URL should be a file or can be a java String? Because if it can be a
java String I'll do something like this:

JSF Managed Bean:

public class MyBean.{

public String getSDL(){

return this.SDL;
}
}

and mybe I can do something like this in the view:

There is such a param like this? Is possible to do like above?

thanks very much,
filipea.

[Geoserver-users] How to dynamic SLD in geoserver

2011-06-08 Thread Filipe Aguilar Santana
Hi,

How I do dynamic SDL for a specif layer in geoserver.

I have an jsf app so maybe I can build a large string wich will be my SDL in
my MB, but where I will put this string to set my SDL?

I'm using OL4JSF, but examples with openlayers will be fine too!

Thanks,
filipea.
