Re: [Gimp-user] linux gimp pen tablet
I would go with a wacom I have the Bambo Fun Model and it works in Gimp 8.04 I have heard horror stories from other cheaper brands On 7/12/08, Helen [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I have successfully installed SuSE11, and now I'm looking for a digital pen/tablet that works with gimp. Does anyone have a recommendation (or a disrecommendation) for a brand/model that works well with Gimp? I don't need the most expensive model, but I do want one that is good quality and will get along nicely with Linux, SuSE11, and Gimp 2.4. Thanks much! Re: [Gimp-user] Wacom tablet
Ralf, Under vanilla Ubuntu, the Bamboo Fun does not run. Right now I am having some other issues with my Ubuntu install at the moment, but it does take a bit more effort then just plug and play. However, I am having these problems in Vista with only Gimp, under other programs it is working fine. Is there anyway to search the archives? I could imagine that your tablet works out of the box there. [Gimp-user] Wacom tablet
I am using Gimp 2.4.2 under Windows and I am trying to get my Wacom Bamboo Fun working and I am having some issues. For instance the pen quits working, and it doesn't seem to recognize the two different tips of the stylus. Also the pressure sensitivity responds in wacky ways, for example its not a smooth progression. I would love to search the archives, since I am sure this had already come up, but I am not really sure how to... Any help would be great Chris ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user
[Gimp-user] Replace Color Tool
I am trying to replace one hue with another, I have found some things online that elude to this using the color selection tool but I have no idea what to do after the color is selected. ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user
[Gimp-user] Mirror Image of text
What I did to solve a problem similar to this (need a vending machine to face the opposite way). I flipped the machine to create a mirror image, and so of course the text was backward on the face of the machine, I then selected the texted by it-self and reflipped it back to the original direction, had to tweak it a little but it looks fine. I can send it to you as before/after if you would to like an example. begin:vcard fn:Christopher Burkahrt n:Burkahrt;Christopher adr;dom:Apt 77;;425 Riverbend Pky ;Athens;GA;30605 email;internet:[EMAIL PROTECTED] tel;cell:404-432-2233 version:2.1 end:vcard ___ Gimp-user mailing list Gimp-user@lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU https://lists.XCF.Berkeley.EDU/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user
[Gimp-user] Setting more then 4 pick points
I just started using GIMP in the last few weeks and so far I am loving it. I have one quick question concerning image manipulation. Is there any way to set more then four pick points when doing prespective? Or is there a 'strech' tool, or something along those lines?
