Let them worry about backup. :)

Not to get all technical and stuff (we are geeks mind you), but since
google is adding space continually according to the login page(ie: the
running counter), I would presently have 104 gig of space considering
the 2078 MB of storage they are alloting ( and the counter keeps

With 50 Gmail accounts you've got a hundred gigs of storage. Add in
the gmailfs and you can ditch your hard drive and boot off of Gmail.
Let them worry about backup. :)

That makes about 150 available from the 3 of us who thus announced :)
So, every member & their family members & pets can have their

I just don't know 50 people who want a Gmail account. Damned if
I know who sent me an invite. I figured I'd use it for the
throwaway email addresses and see how that works.

It's not like I need yet another email address to monitor.
And, yes, this is off-topic. My bad...

That's apparently what happened to me, as I mentioned, I use it for
list archiving :)

  Me three.
You want lots of Gmail invites, sub the address to some mailing lists.
Google apparently bases it on mail volume, and doesn't care if you almost
never send mail.

I've got 50 as well. I don't use it for posting, but rather, it's an
e-mail list archive for me :) All the lists I belong to are sub'ed to
this one address, and I use it for quick searching, since most lists'
archives rather suck. Gmail has, rather obviously, fantastic search :)

Spam has been minimal so far. I've been using it since october and
I've been very happy with it. Yahoo has always been too anoying with
the ads.

I'm down to 40 invites. It's interesting that I've had 5-6 and one
day I suddenly have 50.

If Tom runs out, I have 50. I have used Gmail for 5 months and have not
seen a single spam. It caught a few false positives, but quickly
learned that it was mail I wanted and automagically adjusted the filter.
