You don't need to tell me! :-) (I live in Dover.)

I don't know that there can be a small bank with
locations all over the state - a bit of an oxymoron...

  Yah. That.

 SFCU

They don't have much near Nashua, though. That matters only because
the bulk of the people who actually show up to our org meetings live
in that area, but that does count for something. Money talks, BS
walks. But SFCU is real close to me, so I like it. :) Since they're
close by, I'll get some details from them. Can't hurt to have other
options at the upcoming meeting.

... usually banks show their colors when there is a problem.

Exactly. That's where I'm coming from on BoA; I've had almost no
exposure to their customer service attitude. What little I've had
hasn't made me leap up and down with joy, if you know what I mean.

And BoA is famous for acquiring banks and laying off ...

That's the big banks suck more part I mentioned. It does seem
like a bank's size appears to be roughly proportional to its evilness.
We gotta decide where on the convenience vs conscience scale we want
to land.

Sat 3 Nov org meeting is almost here

2007-10-29 Thread Ben Scott
Crap, it's almost meeting time. Times flies like an arrow.

So, like, this telephone museum thing. Is the plan that interested
parties (is anyone interested aside from me?) just show up around 10
AM? Who else is gonna be there (so the earlier arrivals can know to
wait for the later ones)?Ted, you've implied you know where it is,
is it hard to find? The webiste directions basically just say I-89,
Exit 8 or 9.

I assume I can follow someone else from there to the Hopkinton Town
Library. If I'm the only one who shows up I might be in trouble.

Admission $5, $4 for those over 60.

The museum may consist of more than one room, but it's a small building.
We do not have a group reservation, since there may only be a couple of
us. Warner consists of a Main Street that runs between exit 8 and 9.
Coming from the South, 8 makes more sense, though 9 has an Irving's gas
station, Dunkin' Donuts inside, McDonals, TCBY and a sub shop, should
lunch in town not work out.

I sure hope so. If we're the only ones, I can get you there. If you're
the only one, well, gee, never mind.

It's easy. Roll down Route 103 until you come to the grassy triangle in
Contoocook by the firestation. The road next to the firestation is Pine
Street. Half a mile up on the right is the library.

www.hopkintontownlibrary.org gives location info.
