updated "welcome to evolution" message in cvs
dear translators, for gnome 2.14, the evolution team has updated the "welcome to evolution" message that every new evolution user has in his/her inbox by default. it is located at evolution/mail/default/C/Inbox in cvs and translated by creating a copy of it to the directory evolution/mail/default/$LOCALE and adding the locale to the file evolution/mail/default/Makefile.am. changes: - first paragraph: addition of "and memos" - added an outcommented sentence in the html part which provides a link to the (not yet existing) FAQ - i included this sentence so we can remove the comment tags when the FAQ will be available (hopefully soon) - obviously the "new features" list ;-) many thanks, andre PS: if anyone has an idea how to include those strings into the .po files, please feel encouraged to comment on bug 206066. -- mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] | failed! http://www.iomc.de signature.asc Description: Dies ist ein digital signierter Nachrichtenteil ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

And if I may chirp in the DejaVu in Fedora Extras is rebuilt from sfd sources - it's not the upstream binary dump. While I appreciate all the new font projects none of them so far (with the exception of junicode - I may pull it in FE just to reward this) is making any effort to free the whole font ecosystem. So as Luxi & Vera showed the fonts may be free to use but good luck if you need a glyph not included by the original author. Even if the license did permit modifications (usually they don't) you don't have the same technical access as the author (unless he tells you what expensive closed windows tool to buy). With DejaVu anyone can ask a glyph, contribute it himself if he's in a hurry (or if it's a low priority glyph for everyone else) or even fork DejaVu for his own private uses. For example, if your country is defining a new currency symbol you don't have to wait years for Bitsream to notice it. For this reason alone FOSS project should push DejaVu over any other project which didn't bother building a contribution ecosystem. The situation is no longer the same it was some years ago. Sound Juicer
Hi, This morning I committed a change to SJ that changes a set of translated strings from "Sample Artist", etc to real data. I marked these as translatable but I only expect them to be translated if the translation is for a country that has never heard of The Beatles (this is documented in the code comments). Hopefully this is okay and I haven't upset the release team/i18n team too much. If I have, I can revert the change.
