Hrm, what are we supposed to release with GNOME 2.24.0, then?

The latest stable glade is 3.4.5

Okay. I'm not sure the release team was aware that we should use 3.4 --
I certainly wasn't. We've used 3.5 for all the development releases so
far.

I've prepared our scripts to use the 3.4 branch.

Thanks,

If you want to add new translations to gnome-2-22 branch and make a release
from there thats fine with me, time is definitely an issue, if I mean
to ever make
a 3.6 release - this time I cant be bothered with the old branch.

On the other hand, one release is just about all the mileage you'll get out
of those translations, and I would obviously rather see useful new strings
from trunk being translated...

 Thank you Claude,

But what exactly did you mean with your email.
Pardon me, but I dont quite understand your message to me.

No problem.
Let's say you want to begin translating GNOME to Papiamento.

1. You select a package to begin with, let's say gnome-menus.
2. You pick the pot file on http://l10n.gnome.org/module/gnome-menus
3. You translate the file (pap.po)
4. You create a bug report in bugzilla.gnome.org, module 'l10n',
component 'Papiamento [pap]' and you attach your translated file to the
bug report.
5. You tell the list the bug number, asking for the file to be committed
in GNOME SVN.

At this time, we will create a status page for your language on
l10n.gnome.org.

Then begin with 1. again.
When you'll have translated a substantial amount of files, you'll be
able to ask for an SVN account to commit the files yourself, thus
skipping the 4. and 5. steps .

Feel free to ask more details (or read
http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/LocalisationGuide).

The update-stats.py script from DL didn't handle UTF-8 chars in the diff
 when sending the notify message.
I have now corrected this, hence the automatic notification just sent
 for hamster-applet.

Hmmm. That could've been me using proper UTF-8 en dashes in translatable
strings, i.e. the – sign in date ranges. UTF-8 in sources is ok in my
opinion. Let's not discuss this too loudly and see if we get any complaints
to prove me wrong ;-)
