Hi Jen,

You should be able to get hold of Bastien quite easily. I've CCd him on
this e-mail; if he doesn't respond I'll kick him for you.

I presume you've read http://live.gnome.org/BritishEnglish already? I
see you're already listed as a translator on l10n.gnome.org. If you have
any questions I'll be happy to answer them.

Yes, the brazilian portuguese translation should be reviewed as well. I
don't know if it if of good quality and there is an important user base
in Brazil as far as I can see from the web referers.

A new release of genius (svn module "genius") is coming up. I will make the

This was discussed 4 years ago with the end result being what we have
now. The thread starts at:

http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-i18n/2003-May/msg00170.html

be sure to push through at least until you reach the point where you are
told why the current system doesn't work for Serbian/Finnish/etc.

A visual indicator rather than a string is the best solution. I never
quite got the time, but I always wanted to draw a giant arrow from point
card a to point card b.

The current translation branch should still be 'trunk', because we
haven't broken API/ABI yet and thus every patch applied to trunk is
getting merged back to 0.7 (including translations). I'll certainly
update the translation branches when we do have relevant differences in
the future.

Thanks!

Looking to SVN repos of network-manager-* products, it seems they have
branched for the 0.7 series.
Could you please tell us if translators should now commit their work in
these branches instead of HEAD?
