String additions to 'tracker.master'

2013-09-10 Thread GNOME Status Pages
This is an automatic notification from status generation scripts on:
http://l10n.gnome.org.

There have been following string additions to module 'tracker.master':

+ Disable showing snippets with results. This is only shown for some
categories, e.g. Documents, Music…
+ Loading…
+ _Tags…

Note that this doesn't directly indicate a string freeze break, but it
might be worth investigating.

gnome-documents gnome-photos: New string additions

2013-09-10 Thread Debarshi Ray
Hello everybody,

I didn't realize until now that I added new strings to gnome-documents and
gnome-photos during the String Freeze when I wrote the AppData for them.
Sorry about that.

Regards,
Debarshi

Thank you for the report.

As for Japanese, all gtxml detected are undefined entity. They are

Thanks,

to use ngettext instead of gettext to fix a message as described in

I think this change is a string freeze break.

This message is in a removal confirmation dialog which is not used very
often. Moreover it is used only when 2 or more elements are removed so I
think it's not an issue for most common languages. I will add a comment
  for translator for this.

Then could I push the complete patch using ngettext instead of gettext
or should I wait the next cycle?

As a maintainer of one of the supposedly not common languages, I
 wholeheartedly give you my +1.

Well, it is a sting freeze break, because the other string has an
accelerator in it (_Layout:). You can ask for an exception if you
think it's important enough, but it probably should get reverted on
  the gnome-3-8 branch.

Ah that's true, apologies for that and thanks for the heads-up. I've
  reverted the change on gnome-3-8.

I would like to request a freeze break so we can keep the fix for 3.10.
The issue is that the scores dialog in Mahjongg displays separate scores
for different map layouts with a combo box to select the layout, but the
label for the combo box is Size. It should be Layout. Does not
  affect documentation.

I already erroneously committed this change. I've left it be for now
since it's unfortunately already part of a larger Italian update.

Since it is already committed, here is my 1/2 i18n approval.

2/2 for i18n.

 notifying the lists sufficient?

These are string additions, and on top of that, for strings that don't
show up in the application UI. So yes, a notification to
 gnome-i18n@gnome.org should be sufficient.

I'm not sure this is correct. My understanding of the current String
freeze policy is that:
 * marking a previously existing but not yet marked string for
translation is ok and doesn't require permission (but announcing it on
the i18n list is appreciated);
 * adding strings, such as the ones for AppData, however requires an
exception and so you should get approval from the i18n team.
See https://wiki.gnome.org/TranslationProject/HandlingStringFreezes

It would be great if someone from i18n could clarify this.
