Help understanding two file chooser strings

2022-03-11 Thread Christian Kirbach via gnome-i18n
Good evening,

I am kindly asking for help understanding and interpreting two English
strings in gtk 3.24
They are part of the GTK file chooser dialogue, if I am not entirely
mistaken.

"Browse Header Revealer"
"Browse Header Stack"

'Browse' is a verb, no doubt.
But what exactly is a header revealer and what is a header stack in the
file chooser dialogue?

Christian

source code repo for icon-library

2021-01-16 Thread Christian Kirbach via gnome-i18n
Hello,

the German team would like to commit their initial translation of
gnome-library
https://l10n.gnome.org/module/icon-library/

However, I was unable to find its repository. I looked at gnome git and
searched the Internet, without success.

Can you point me to the repo where I can place a pull request?
Thanks.

Best regards
Christian

Hello Alexandre,

the MR is
https://gitlab.gnome.org/Teams/Engagement/release-notes/merge_requests/15/diffs

I just noticed that it actually was merged, despite the close message
saying "The changes were not merged into gnome-3-34". that was quite
misleading.

Before attempted to commit my updates using git CLI, but it failed. I
do not remember the error message, but it was not any obvious trivial
reason. I just tried to reproduce in order to paste the error message,
but as of now pushes into the repo are working for me.

So, all is fine.

Best regards
Christian

Hi

thank you for providing the release notes.

How are we supposed to upload translated screen-shots?
Vertimus is not able to do this as of now, and I created a git
merge request to above branch that got rejected.

Christian
