Great idea!

Care to create a page on live.gnome.org within the TranslationProject
with this factoids and a way to get them (i.e. the last one would be to
just go to [1] and see the number on the leftmost column) so that
whoever does the report has easy access on how to gather the data.

A script that does that (or gets some of them) would be über cool
thought it can be done later on.

We have to honor our favorite application name :)

Cheers,

As requested, I've created a stub of an article here:

http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/GnomeQuarterlyReportStats

and linked it from

http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject#Scripts_and_Statistics

Additions and edits would be most welcome. Even more welcome would
the some SQL-type script to pull these for the use of the poor
quarterly report writer/editor.

Just a comment to this... word statistics are not working properly in DL
[1], so maybe it should not be considered in the report

I know there is a bug opened [2] for this issue, but it hasn't been solved.

Can bug #662454 be reproduced by anyone?

In any event, I'm not suggesting that one rely on numbers blindly
without validating them. It would be nice if you would note your
concern on the wiki page (now that there is one) , but I suspect this
table would not be produced / published until someone gets around to
scripting it.

I suppose I'm quite late to the thread, but I wanted to say I like the
idea of making the report more informative with stats etc.

As I can see, Andre already created the wiki page for the 2012 Q1 team
updates, so I guess I can go ahead and start looking at what we got more
closely. ;-)

Thanks for creating that wiki page, Chris, and thanks everybody for sharing
their thoughts and ideas.
