I can't think of anything different I've done. I use Cinnamon as my DE. I have installed new kernels as they have arrived in my Update Manager, but I don't remember if my current problem coincided with a new kernel install. My distribution is behind on updates as usual. I think I can get 4.0 with the Flatpak version. I would rather use an Appimage, but I don't think there is one. It has only started recently. When I chose to display only leaf account names the search function seemed to work except it only showed top categories. I.E. Taxes instead of Taxes:State. Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. I forgot to add that when I clicked on the desktop icon to start GC it opened a new database with no entries as if I were starting GC from scratch. I had to find the file and start it from the file manager. I was worried that my data would be gone, but it was only my preferences that were gone. [GNC] Preferences reset
I just opened GC today and discovered that I had to reset all of my preferences. None of the entries were affected. Very strange, I've not had that happen before. I'm using GC Flatpak version 4.5 on Linux Mint 20.1 for those who are interested.
