I can't think of anything different I've done. I use Cinnamon as my DE. 
I have installed new kernels as they have arrived in my Update Manager, 
but I don't remember if my current problem coincided with a new kernel 
install.

My distribution is behind on updates as usual. I think I can get 4.0 
with the Flatpak version. I would rather use an Appimage, but I don't 
think there is one.

It has only started recently. When I chose to display only leaf account 
names the search function seemed to work except it only showed top 
categories. I.E. Taxes instead of Taxes:State.

transaction as I began typing in the account field GNC would begin 
searching for the matching entry. For instance when I began typing

setting to correct it. Any ideas on how to get this back?

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. I forgot to add that when I clicked on 
the desktop icon to start GC it opened a new database with no entries as 
if I were starting GC from scratch. I had to find the file and start it 
from the file manager. I was worried that my data would be gone, but it 
was only my preferences that were gone.

[GNC] Preferences reset

preferences. None of the entries were affected. Very strange, I've not

It's a refund of total cost when I return a product or recently my 
former insurance company refunded a portion of my premium when I changed 
providers.
