Re: [GNC] gnucash-3.1.setup.exe missing at sourceforge; was: Currently Unavailable

2018-05-01 Thread Kenneth Schneider
As a build platform it’s capable of producing RPM, DEB and many other
distributions as well as Intel, AMD and other cpu architectures automatically.
I’ve never used it but I know that SUSE uses it for all of their builds and
saves the devs numerous hours. Just a thought as the are only two requirements,
no licensing issues and no closed source binaries.

I'm interested in the concept of OBS. However I never had time to investigate
it further. There's always other this more urgent :)
It's still on my list though.

Have you ever looked into the openSUSE OpenBuildService (OBS)"? It provides a
way to build for many different distributions and platforms. I have no doubt
that the gnucash maintainer for openSUSE uses it. It may be worth a try to
contact him(her) for more information.

2018-04-30 Thread John Ralls
I’ve put it back on SourceForge. I’m not sure what ate it... perhaps I
accidentally deleted it when replacing the tarballs this afternoon.

BTW, that was because Bill Nottingham, the Fedora packager, noticed that the
version was wrong because I’d made the tarballs before tagging the release. We
need some code in the dist target to check for a mismatch between the
CMakeLists.txt version and the gnc-vcs-info.h version, or maybe just to use the
gnc-vcs-info.h value to name the tarballs.

[GNC] gnucash-3.1.setup.exe missing at sourceforge; was: Currently Unavailable

2018-04-30 Thread Frank H. Ellenberger
Hi,

right,
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnucash/files/gnucash%20%28stable%29/3.1/gnucash-3.1.setup.exe
is missing.

BTW, the old URL https://downloads.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gnucash/
is a redirect to
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gnucash/files/gnucash/...

But you can get it from https://github.com/Gnucash/gnucash/releases/3.1
