Are we sure ...we undersatnd in what we write
and say when we say - * In the spirit of Easter,
* ? We seem to have lost the meaning of Religion
completly - or is it that some of us are trying
to bluff ourselves ?

Lets face reality and ask ourselves this simple
question - Do we really care ? are we serious
in trying to eliminate the CASTE System that we
see - that prevails in Goa ? I do not believe
that we do , we only care to DISCUSS on the
various Goan Forums we belong to !

Hi Cornel,
Happy Easter to you too.
In the spirit of Easter, I will respond to your many posts on the same
questions. If you resurrect my past posts on this subject, I have answered the
two questions and many more, long ago to the best of my ability.

You need to look at my posts and perhaps contemplate on them.
In short here are responses:
1. I do not reconcile the two religious beliefs. AND IT IS PRESUMPTUOUS OF YOU
THINK I DO, EVEN AFTER I HAVE TOLD YOU SO, IN MY PRIOR POST. The Catholic
religion has no caste in its teachings, though some individuals practice it
privately. Please see my 'consensus statement on caste among Goan Catholics'.
And you and others have repeatedly refused to present caste practices WITHIN
THE GOAN CATHOLIC CHURCH TODAY and perhaps if such exists, your practical
remedies.

2. As far as Catholic Goans needing the caste crutch, I went further than you.
I said, "Why do many Goans need and use a crutch for their often pathetic
behavior." Please read my post for the many examples I referred to you in that
reply.
Regards, GL

There is no catch in my two questions to you at all but just plain
intellectual curiosity.

1) How does one reconcile Catholic belief with Hindu belief in caste?
2) Why do some Catholic Goans need the crutch of caste when the rest can get on
 fine without it?
