[Goanet] A/c Airport Shuttle service to/from Panaji / Calangute

2017-05-21 Thread JoeGoaUk

Airport shuttle doing well
Dabolim international Airport
Today there were about 27 Pax
Coach leaves airport at 1.30pm but the display board at arrival lounge says 1pm
(Neglect and poor publicity).
I bought Airport visitor's pass (80) only to check or locate the shuttle
service board display inside

Looking at the board at 1.10pm some thought they have missed it, I then
interrupted saying the coach is out there and leaving 1.30. Another 2 or 3 were
waiting at the GTDC counter to buy tickets but no one was there .. a small
window notice says shuttle service.. I directed them straight to the coach
where bus conductor issue tickets.
Last Sunday the coach was almost full i.e. 45 out of 46.

More public awareness required but KTC/GTDC/AAI seems least bothered about it
More boards required including one by the shuttle bay
Timing on board needs to be changed /corrected, it can make lot of difference
A/c coach leaves airport Dabolim at 1.30pm to Panaji and Calangute

MD,

Tax breaks are designed for just one purpose - to stimulate economic activity.

Chinese communist party officials may or may not know how to stimulate economic
activity but one thing is certain - they really know how to use the system to
pad their own nest. There also used to be a time when the USA valued/welcomed
ingenuity above dubiously acquired wealth, but this is now the Trump era.

Trump, peace be upon him, is disdainful that the Chinese govt has been wasting
their resources financing US govt expenditure. As such, he has decided to take
the US dependency on Chinese wealth private - or to the next level. He and his
crew have eliminated the US govt agents and convinced communist party officials
to invest their newly found wealth directly into private enterprise -
controlled by Trumps relatives and cronies.

Lastly, I am at a loss as to why you swerved to encompass Canada in this
discussion, but for the record, Canada has always been generous to refugees.
Apart from the Ugandans, Canada has also welcomed the Vietnamese boat people,
the exodus from Hong Kong and today we welcome the Syrians.

[Goanet] LEADING BY EXAMPLE?

2017-05-21 Thread John Eric Gomes
BJP POSTER BOY LEADS
Swami Yogi Aditynath has reportedly banned VIP culture in UP.The Deoria
administration had installed ACs,put up new curtains, sofas and carpets in the
living room home of a martyre, where the CM was to meet his family. A day
before the dusty roads were cleaned and open drains covered. Twenty minutes
after his depature, everything was removed and back to square one! With Romeo
squads and our Victorian mindsets do we have the freedom to hate, but no
freedom to love? I want to ask why when they have legislated that life
imprisonment be given to anyone killing a cow, there is no enthuasim to arrest
and prosecute to life imprisonment the Gau Rakshas personnel who are
responsible for lynching a person, that too on a rumor and without trial? Why
has the Nirbhaya case taken 5 years when it was a well documented and
investigated case with also the victims statement duly witnessed and recorded
before she died? Responsibility lies with the Executive or Judiciary or police
or the System? Why do they all keep denying "We the People" proper justice by
refusing to change their ways and mindset? Binayak Datta visiting faculty BITS
PILANI has rightly concluded that like the deeply rooted caste system, this is
one of the biggest evils in our society that must be totally uprooted, having
been well nourished for over 70 years! The order of the magnitude of difference
in defference accorded is staggering compared to any other civilised nation. A
VIP will be escorted with car motorcade, ambulance, statelite communications
car, posse of 42 elite commandoes etc with traffic stopped, police car with
hooter shoeing off any traffic/ impediments in the way. The Minister/MP gets a
fixed handsome salary and allowances with pension and perks.Binayak suggests
the token ban on beacons be followed up with strict enumeration and evaluation
of "unquantified entitlements" plus all expenses incurred on each individual,
gross up with tax and add it to their salaries and tax these incomes! Let
people know how much they are being forced to propagate this enhanced disease
given to us by the British. Yogi has gun toting commandoes walking around him!
70 VIPs/MPs have overstayed posh government accomodation in Delhi for over two
years!Let us cure all this by putting pressure on the strongly bonded
brotherhood of ruling and opposition VIPs in Parliament. It is high time all
people realise EPI( Every person is Important) as propagated by the PM, and
that we are in a democracy, not slaves to be ruled! Why are the electorate such
hypocrites? Everyone is quiet, so is the PM not vocal on these matters!

Re: [Goanet] NYTimes.com: 4-Year-Olds Don’t Act Like Trump

2017-05-21 Thread Jim Fernandes

Just like the loser lady, all these loser homo sapiens can utter is 'Trump is
stupid'. Well, I have heard this song before and it's beginning to sound a lot
like a broken record.

Tell me why the Neanderthals lost out to the Moderns.

Don't know the answer?

Because they failed to adapt to change.

What are the loser Democrats doing to make themselves look better?

Nothing! Therefore, using simple logic, I can say that 'stupid' is better than
'nothing'.

At least Trump just signed a 350 Billion dollar deal with Saudi Arabia - enough
to send several thousand folks to work. The jokers who run the NYT and CNN.com
don't even have a link to this important business agreement on their home
pages. Talking about biased media? See my link I sent yesterday.

Those who have made their money sucking the New York City (with outrageous
overtime) don't need to make any more. They can hatch their ROTTEN eggs and
live off of them. There are many people out there who still have work to earn
their bread.

Cheers!!! Now where is that damn cigar?

:)

[Goanet] Media Bias - Research By Kennedy School

2017-05-21 Thread Jim Fernandes

Unless you are a journalist in the US, you may have never heard of Shorenstein
Center. But what about Harvard University or Kennedy School? Ah ha - that I'm
sure you must have heard about.

Prior to the recent elections in the US, I thought only Fox News was the most
biased news organization for siding with the Republicans most of the time. But
the news coverage of the recent US elections which saw Donald Trump become the
US President, had me convinced that the whole US media - with the exception of
Fox News and Wall Street Journal (both owned by Murdoch's Empire) - was
completely biased against Mr. Trump.

Believe me guys, the issue of media bias was just a hunch. But now, I have
proof from Harvard University that my hunch was absolutely true.

Please check out this link and home on to figure 4 - which shows you that
amongst the past 4 US presidents, the tone of news coverage for Trump is
evident - It's 80% negative bias during the first 100 days. If you have the
time to read the whole article, please read the whole report.

https://shorensteincenter.org/news-coverage-donald-trumps-first-100-days/

Regardless of what the media says, Trump's supporters are completely with him.
I believe that if elections were to be held today, Mrs Clinton would have still
lost - by even a wider margin to Trump!

Instead of plastering their front pages (or TV screens) on completely useless
news - such as Russian meddling in US elections, Flynn, Comey - who BTW the
Democrats detested for bringing up Clinton email issues just before elections -
and the constant leaks from 'unknown' sources, they should print out stuff
about what matters to the American public to put food on the table.

For me, what matters is stuff such as Jobs, Jobs and Jobs. I care rats @ss
about what the Lefty press prints about Trumps quirky behavior. Tell me what
the politicians are doing to create jobs and promote American businesses and
help families pay their bills, to save for retirement, to save for children's
college education and to help rebuild American infrastructure.

Everything else ... is just that ... garbage!

If you wish to know why Hillary lost, check the below link once again. This was
written back in January 2017 and try to compare it to what Trump has done since
then:

https://www.mail-archive.com/goanet@lists.goanet.org/msg120998.html

Ask yourself guys, what is the strategy the Demorats have embarked upon to grab
power back again? If you ask me - they have none. If this is their strategy -
talking about Russians, Flynn, Comey - they'll lose again - and lose even
bigger - in 2020 mid term polls.

Trump - on the other hand, is signing deals with foreign countries to get more
business for American companies. More foreign companies are lining up to make
Trump aware that they are stepping up their US investments and hiring more
Americans. Personally, I am seeing more job openings for Techie professionals
with more pricing power for American citizens and Permanent Residents. I am
also seeing that the Indian out sourcing companies AKA Cheap Body Shops are
feeling the heat. All this, is music to my ears.

Democrats, please tell me what you have done in the past 4 months to change my
views about you?

Nothing!

Why?

Because you have no winning strategy to get my attention. Merely telling me
Trump is an idiot won't get you my votes.

Cheers,

Jim Fernandes

[Goanet] POLICE INSPECTOR SIDHANT SHIRODKAR ON THE BACK FOOT

2017-05-21 Thread Aires Rodrigues
The beleaguered Panaji Police Inspector Sidhant Shirodkar to divert public
attention is now claiming that the 19 year old Rahul Yadoli from St Inez
who he mercilessly bashed up on the night of 19th May at the Panaji Police
Station is a ‘goon’.

Even if Rahul Yadoli is the biggest ‘goon’ on earth he cannot be denied his
basic human rights. Every police officer including Sidhant Shirodkar is
duty bound not to flex his muscles but act strictly within the framework of
law adhering to the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code and the
Indian Penal Code. Otherwise we would not have required Police Stations and
managing the law of the jungle could have been outsourced to the
underworld.

The very wily and sweet talker that he is, Sidhant Shirodkar is well versed
in the art of manipulation besides attempting to keep his superiors content
by providing them all and sundry. Sidhanth Shirodkar is also known like a
chameleon to bow and bend besides crawling at the feet of his changing
political masters.

And Sidhant Shirodkar now desperately requires all the political patronage
possible as he is currently facing a probe by the Anti-Corruption Branch in
the huge documented disproportionate assets case filed against him by the
Margao based United Goans Foundation. Besides huge real estate properties
in Goa, Police Inspector Sidhant Shirodkar reportedly also owns a SPA at
Kharghar in Navi Mumbai which he has allegedly concealed in his sister’s
name.

With so much of huge wealth illegally and deviously acquired, what role
model is Sidhant Shirodkar to the youth like Rahul Yadoli.

Besides his other very naughty acts, Police Inspector Sidhant Shirodkar
will always be remembered for that brute manner in which on November 21st 2015
he dealt with late Fr. Bismarque Dias’s supporters at Panaji by crudely in
his infamous words saying to them “Justice ditatuka f**ya” (I’ll give you
justice, you f***er).

We need to wholeheartedly support the struggle of the police personnel for
their better working and living conditions, but they should never be spared
for any of their dark deeds. And unfortunately the Goa Police has one too
many black sheep who bring sheer disgrace to the entire force and must in
public interest be herded off to the Colvale Central Jail.
