Vijai Sardesai’s Goenkarponn Prank Further Exposed – by Aires Rodrigues
Thursday - Sep 28, 2017
[image: Vijai Sardesai’s Goenkarponn Prank Further Exposed – by Aires
Rodrigues]
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar must be condemned for having succumbed to
the highhanded pressure of his very fishy Fisheries Minister Vinod
Paliencar and shunted out the very honest and upright Director of Fisheries
Shamila Monteiro. This sordid episode has also further exposed Vijai
Sardesai’s Goa Forward hoax about promoting Goem, Goenkar and Goenkarponn.

Fisheries Minister Vinod Paliencar wanted Shamila Monteiro removed as she
had bluntly refused to register trawlers brought from other states
including Maharashtra and Karnataka. The registering of those trawlers in
Goa is not permissible under the Goa Fisheries Act. The man behind the
scene who wanted these outstation trawlers registered in Goa is the Margao
based middle man Ibrahim, a business partner and collection agent cum
henchman of Town & Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai.

To help our local fisherman Shamila Monteiro was also keen to bring the
Margao SGPDA fish wholesale market under the Fisheries Department. But this
was opposed by Vijai’s henchman Ibrahim who is currently a Fish Lord
virtually having monopolized the SGPDA wholesale fish market and collecting
huge protection money from vehicles coming from other states. These
outstation fish vehicles flood the Margao fish wholesale market by 1am
leaving no room for our Goan fishermen to carry on their business.

Shamila Monteiro was also in the process of helping the local Goan
fishermen by increasing their subsidies but this too was stalled by the
Fisheries Minister Vinod Paliencar at the behest of that Fish Lord Ibrahim.
Yet another glaring example as to how in the name of Goem, Goenkar and
Goenkarponn it has been Fot, Foting and Fotingponn all the way. The Wily
Vijai Sardesai now stands only further exposed and should hang his head in
Shame.

If Goa has to be run smoothly the answer is simple. Just throw the Ghantis
be Marathis or Koknees, or whoever out. Let them go back into their own
state and mess up They have been nuisance from the beginning and it was
great mistake by Goans to incorporate them into Goa’s mainstream political
system. Even by International Law if Goa was to get its Independence they
don’t come into Goa’s picture at all, only the Goans who are the subject of
Portuguese colonization. In fact these Koknee/Marathis are subject of bad
British colonialization and as a consequence to evade that condition they
filtered into Goa. It’s high time the Goans realize and get that into their
psyche. Its high time the Goans, both in Goa and in diaspora build a
campaign to rid these people out because the world and its laws knows that
their roots are not in Goa. We need our own Goans to come back and develop
Goa. Otherwise, Goa and Goans will never progress. Already Goa has fallen
50 years behind time only to produce our youth as toilet cleaners to the
world, and for them only to show off and boast to their young brides or
girlfriends that they are experts at cleaning other people’s shit. Even the
outgoing Portuguese Consul Barceira remarked that the Goan applicants are
unskilled labourers, politely referring them as toilet cleaners

Anyone who talks of or expects a born Marathi with Marathiponn in his blood
to practise Goencarponn is also a double illiterate ass. He is not aware
that MARATHIPONN has taken over Goa with virtually Marathis running the
Government of Goa. He does not know the different between a donkey and a
horse for it to abide to such a task. Goa has been a joke for last 56
years. It is a neglect and irresponsibility of someone placed in a position
talking like a classic Goan fool. Goans are to be blamed for being
neglectful and irresponsible to allow Goa’s fate to decline to the present
stage.

Goa needs serious bona fide Goan thinkers if we are to salvage Goa.

As far as I know Monteiro was suspended / transfered due to alleged
irregularities in the distribution of RFID cards to the fisherman and this
issue was raised by opposition congress and NCP during the assembly session

[Goanet] India's rape culture is thriving

2017-09-29 Thread BT Yahoo Mail

GANGRAPED by 23 men in RAJASTHAN

On 25th September, a woman, 28, told the police in her complaint that while
standing on the road at 2.30 pm in Bikaner, Rajasthan, two men in a Bolero SUV
offered her a lift. When she refused, she was forcibly pulled inside the car
and raped. The horror didn't end there. Tragically, it had just begun.
The men took the victim to a village where they called their friends who then
raped her one by one. The woman was dropped back at the exact spot from where
she was picked up at 4 am the next day after an almost 14-hour-long ordeal. It
turned out that 23 men had raped her.Everyday we hear stories of rape of minors
and of women - at home or at work, mentally-ill women, women out on the street
and women anywhere and everywhere. The scale of the problem has desensitised
us.Narrated by @vanadan5
http://www.dailyo.in/voices/rape-december-16-bikaner-gang-rape-crime-against-women/story/1/19796.html

ASIAN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION (AHRC)
In Jun 2014, AHRC had issued a Report of the rape situation in India, calling
India the Rape Republic. Here are excerpts from the Report:
Every 20 minutes, a rape is committed in India; but only 4 out of 10 incidents
make it to the
country's justice system. Such low reporting of sexual assault, due to legal
complexities and ideas of ‘honour’ and ‘shame’, make the possibilities of
justice remote, and create an insufficient deterrent in society.
Recent gory reports, such as the hanging of raped girls, the sexual assault of
a female judge in her official residence, the pumping of bullets into the
private parts of a woman after an assault, and the burning of a dead body
following a gang rape, are sufficient evidence to conclude that the 'system'
has systematically failed. An
insensitive, poorly funded, inefficient, and unnecessarily hierarchic structure
called the criminal justice system has proven nothing but a demon to women
seeking justice.
+WATCHING PORN IN GOA  - a
Survey: The survey was conducted in 2014 by Rescue, a Karnataka-based
organisation promoting cyber-ethics. It found that 40% percent of college and
higher secondary school boys in Goa watchrape porn and statistically end up
watching 86,000 rape videos per day, according to a survey.

Clifford, CEO of Rescue,  said:"80% of college and higher secondary school boys
watch porn and 40percent of them watch rape porn regularly. On an average they
watch 28 rapeporn videos a week."

The survey, he said, was conducted across 10 colleges in the state. Thesurvey
also tries to draw a link between watching rape porn videos and thecrime of
rape in real life.

"76 percent students said thatwatching rapes leads to the desire to actually
rape someone... Rape isincreasing in India, this is a primary reason,"
Cliffordsaid. "We are in reality raising an army of rapists, thanks
tonon-regulation of pornography."

"Fifty percent of students who are watching porn, end up watchingviolent porn.
100 percent of the students, who watch rape, were alreadywatching lower levels
of porn," the survey said

[Goanet] 250 CAMERAS AND POLICE STATION AT FATORDA IS WASTE OF MONEY BY VIJAY

2017-09-29 Thread Stephen Dias
WHAT A CRAZY IDEA TO FIT 250 CCTVs at such a small place and not important
area. There are other areas which are most frequently run by criminals and
not Fatorda. Who cares for Fatorda even Police station was not required. We
have such a big area in Dona Paula and the outpost Police station is idle
and the cops are only supervising traffic , no criminal activities
LET VIJAY INSTALL ONE CAMERA IN THE SATELLITE AND WATCH WHOLE OF GOA.
Why such expenditure to the Government when Government has gone bankrupt.
WHAT A FOOLISH IDEA? WASTE OF MONEY.over here and not a single case is
booked when Dona Paula is much bigger than Fatorda. This idea to install
Police station when the staff is not available with the government is a
real selfish plans to get votes for him in future and become Chief Minister
by replacing Parrikar. And now he has installed 250 CCTVs for what/Are
there any criminals there?
In that case all will demand CCTVs everywhere when no maintenance is done
and these cameras gets rotten.
We, in Dona Paula except crime there are lots of accidents due to bad
planning of GSIDC at the circle as narrows roads are still continuing to
exist at both the slopes linking to the circle. Just yesterday two major
accidents has taken place at the slopping down.

Elphinston Railway foot over bridge stampede

The tragedy has snuffed life of 22 travellers and maimed scores of others
that could have been avoided .The alarm bells sounded ,red flagged several
times went unheard since Nov 2016. The letters, complaints, suggestion were
ignored and sidestepped for want of funds on this very issue. 106 years
foot old , only bridge has suffered structural stress and overdue for its
replacement even without the tragedy of stampede. The BJP and Shiv Sena are
playing blame shifting game . The allotted funds for infrastructure have
been bogged down by unresponsive bureaucracy bungling over priority. Chalta
hai attitude has been usual response. The frequency of trains has exhausted
time gap, due to demand outstretching safety norms. The rush at peak hours
on only foot bridge is tremendous due to several locals descending at the
same time. There is absolutely no monitoring of safety at rush hours or
spacing of trains to avoid the mad rush of commuters forced to use it . A
middle divider could control the stampede, The two way bridge for up and
down could also serve as a control of some sorts Besides the nuisance of
hawkers occupying scarce space goes overlooked under the nose of railway
security staff. The CTV should have highlighted the rush at peak hours .But
who cares to watch and initiate actions, Simply summarizing the new foot
bridge should have been in place or in planning and executing stage

Only a tragedy awakens our leaders and few days later when the emotions,
cries die down the situation is back as usual’ All the immediate steps will
be delayed with reasons till another day of similar or worst tragedy. In
stead of debating about the tragedy and how it could have been avoided. The
best alternative is immediate action to plan and construct wide and double
foot bridges to meet the growing demands of users We rae more enamoured

The slide in India’s economy is just starting. How deep will be the coming
disaster will depend on the confidence foreign investment funds have in the
country. A loss of even temporary confidence will lead to capital flights and
that can cause great misery, even if short-lived.

At a time Iike this, it is the past effects of bribery and corruption that
comes home to roost and compounds whatever other problems occur.

This is where Narendra Modi should just take off for Goa to spend a lot of time
with him bum-chum or ex-chum Parrikar and leave the country’s finances and
economy with those in his party having more capable hands.

INDIA U-17s 'MENTALLY READY' FOR FIFA U-17 WORLD CUP 2017 INDIA

*AIFF Media Team*

*NEW DELHI:* The Indian U-17 National Team’s Mental Conditioning Coach Dr
Swaroop Savanur believes that the young colts are “mentally ready”, with a
week left to go for the first ever FIFA World Cup to be hosted by India to
kick-off, the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 India.

India have been draw in Group A of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 India with
USA, Colombia and Ghana, and incidentally Colombia, the first team to
arrive in the nation for the FIFA World Cup, are practising at the same
training ground as India - the Conscient Football ground in Gurugram,
Haryana. The Indian colts had arrived in the capital on the eve of
September 26.

The Indian Colts face USA on October 06, before locking horns against
Colombia and Ghana on October 09 and October 12 respectively at the
Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the Capital. The kick-off for all matches is at
IST 8PM.

“They boys are mentally fit and are raring to go”, Dr. Swaroop informed.
“Obviously there is pressure but pressure is part and parcel of any
competitive sport. I believe, the boys are mentally fit to deal with it”

Dr. Savanur's primary role is “to provide players with mental skills that
can be practically applied on the field to help them push the mental
barriers and face tough situations and challenges.”

"I am continuously working on different techniques and strategies to make
them strong from within. With the support of the Head Coach, I am
integrating the mental aspect of the game along with the technical and
physical training that is going on.

One of the key areas that the Doctor focuses on, is helping players remain
in control of their thoughts and emotions, so that they can express
themselves on the field. “This is India's biggest football tournament and
it is the first time our players will be battling it out in the World Cup
and that too, in front of home crowd. The challenge is enormous, but I
believe, the boys have it in them to make a difference."

The players have been very positive about understanding and adopting
various mental strategies. The mental aspect is a continuous and evolving
process and as they grow, these mental skills will help them become better
and more successful players.”

“Fitness is a work in progress, be it physical or mental and although the
road is long, the players should stay mentally fit for the challenge ahead
and will meet it head on with the best of their abilities”, he added.

This enterprising duo brings the bookstore to the school
Nida Sayed| TNN | Sep 24, 2017, 13:26 IST
Francisca Ribeiro, a Class VI student, huddled around the swarm of students
that were skimming through a set of books at a book exhibition at her
school. Her eyes finally settled on the collection of short stories that
she had been eyeing for days, but couldn't quite
get her hands on.
Excitedly picking it up, she murmured to her friends, "I've already read
two of the stories from the book from the school library copy. Now that I
have one for myself, I can read it
at leisure."
While most bibliophiles encourage reading English books, the co-founders of
Abhinav Creationz are
busy captivating the imagination of children in Goa with contemporary
Konkani literature.
Started in February 2016, Abhinav Creationz has been instrumental in taking
libraries to children. They visit one school a week, holding day-long book
exhibitions for students.
"The incidence of children going to bookstalls has decreased. So it's time
we went to them and motivated them so that they come to us later,"
co-founders Anwesha Singbal
 and Amol Kamat explained.
Former colleagues at a local newspaper, Singbal and Kamat launched the
venture after moving on from their jobs. They go from school-to-school
displaying various titles in English and regional languages for students
and libraries to purchase. "Our initiative is business mixed with social
work," Singbal said.
The duo got in touch with publishers across Goa like Sanjana Publications
in Curchorem, Goa 1665 in Saligao
, and Konkani Bhasha
Mandal in Patto and Margao. They even contacted Delhi-based Pratham books,
and Pune-based Jyotsna Publications and Mehta Publications
.

The venture has made book more accessible to children. While they initially
began with Konkani literature, the duo later moved on to other regional
languages like Marathi and Hindi and now even have English books

on sale.

"We tried placing advertisements to market our books, but there was hardly
any response. So, we came up with an idea that helps inculcate the reading
habit in children while simultaneously pushing book sales," Singbal said.

Initially they would visit schools with 50-odd titles in tow. Now, they
have over 200 titles to share. Together, Singbal and Kamat have visited
nearly 150 schools in over a year.

"The business quantum here is that readers get to choose books at their
doorstep. And publishers get another channel to push books," said Kamat.

The duo maintained that teachers have a massive role to play in nurturing
the reading habit. "The problem lies with school teachers. They want their
money's worth and therefore go for books with more text. However, children
prefer books with less text and more pictures. Teachers fail to understand
that the reading habit develops at a young age if children start with
grasping text through pictures. After Class VII, students automatically opt
to purchase books on general knowledge, science and theory oressays,"
Singbal said.

As one of their exhibitions came to a close, Class IV student, Vienna
Fernandes pressed an anthology of Konkani folktales to her chest and said,
"Konkani stories are more interesting than those of other language. I have
learnt some new Konkani words, too."

[Goanet] EVERY CASINO IS AN ATM FOR THE CURRENT GOA MINISTERS

2017-09-29 Thread Aires Rodrigues
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar should stop fooling the people of Goa at
least on the issue of Casinos. We all know that all those Casinos will
continue to remain firmly embedded till the River Mandovi dries up. Both
the onshore and offshore Casinos are a malady and for Goa to remain afloat
all the Casinos need to depart at the earliest.

When he was the Leader of the Opposition Manohar Parrikar had
branded Casinos as a “social evil” and had called them "dens of vice".
While leading that agitation against Casinos, Manohar Parrikar had vowed to
make sure that all Casinos were thrown out of Goa if the BJP came to power.
But in a dramatic U turn in March 2012 after usurping power, the BJP went
all out to promote, shield and increase the number of Casinos in the name
of promoting Tourism.

Manohar Parrikar as Chief Minister while branding the revenue
from Casinos as “bad” money had declared in the Goa Legislative Assembly
that the revenue from Casinos would be kept in a separate account and
utilized only on homes for the aged and those suffering from
Alzheimer's. On that revenue earned by the government from Casinos, Manohar
Parrikar had firmly stated "We don't want to use that money to buy
computers for students. We don’t need that money in the budget”. Addressing
the Goa Legislative Assembly on 7th August 2012, Chief Minister Manohar
Parrikar had also categorically and confidently stated that he did not
require the revenue from Casinos for Goa’s developmental works.

On 10th October 2013 Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had assured the Goa
Legislative Assembly that all the Casinos would be removed from the River
Mandovi by September 2015, but with the tacit support of Manohar Parrikar
the Casinos continue afloat.

Manohar Parrikar and the BJP have fallen in passionate love with
the Casino brigade which is now getting the government’s abundant patronage
and support. For the dismal number of jobs for Goans created by Casinos,
the overall damage that is being inflicted on the State is irreversible.
While the BJP and the current coalition partners are feasting and making
merry with the abundant currency flowing from the Casinos, Goa has sadly
become the country’s gambling hub with the allied vices of prostitution and
the narcotics trade also flourishing by the day while the Crime rate is on
a steep rise.

[Goanet] SMILE.............................. IT'S WEEKEND (28/09/2017)

2017-09-29 Thread CAJETAN DE
I AM…..

Bostiao decided his injuries from the accident were serious enough to take the
Trucking Company responsible for the accident to court.

In court , the Trucking Company's lawyer (Adv. Naran) was questioning Bostiao:-

Adv. Naran: Didn't you say, at the scene of the accident, ‘I am fine’?

Bostiao: (responded) Well, I'll tell you what happened. I had just loaded my
Horse (Django) into the...

Adv. Naran: (interrupted) I did not ask for any details, just answer the
question. Did you not say, at the scene of the accident, 'I am fine!'.

Bostiao: Well, I had just got Django into my half-lorry and I was driving to...

Adv. Naran: (interrupted again) Me Lord, I am trying to establish the fact
that, at the scene of the accident, this man (Bostiao) told the Police officer
on the scene that he was fine. Now several weeks after the accident he is
trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply
answer the question.

By this time the Judge was fairly interested in Bostiao’s answer and said to
Adv. Naran.

Judge: I would like to hear what Bostiao has to say.

Bostiao thanked the Judge and proceeded:

Bostiao: Well, as I was saying, I had just loaded Django into my half-lorry and
was driving towards my farmhouse, when this huge loaded truck ran the stop sign
and smacked my half-lorry right in the side. I was thrown into one ditch and
Django was thrown into the other. I was hurting real bad and cannot move.
However, I could hear Django moaning and groaning. I knew he was in terrible
pains.

Shortly after the accident a Policeman came on the scene. He could hear Django
moaning and groaning, so he went over to him. He took out his gun and shot him
between the eyes. Then the Policeman with his gun in his hand came to me and
said:Policeman: Your horse was in such bad shape, I had to shoot him. How are
you feeling?

Bostiao: At that moment although I was in unbearable pain, but if I had to tell
that the Policeman, he would have killed me too. So that’s why I said “I AM
FINE”.

GL responds:   Humor for the weekend
Some domestic service (as part-payment of the rent) use to be the tradition in
Goa.
Now like everything else in Goa, the roles are reversed.:=))
What is this world coming to?
Are you and other Goaneters following the news in America?
Right Wing nuts (aka Trump backers) have all along been fed with alternative
facts by (of all folks) the Russians.  Recently a well-authored accountant and
economist highlighted on TV how the Reagan claim of  "lowering axes increased
govt tax revenues" (aka the Laffer curve) has been totally debunked.
Did any of that fake news make it on Goanet (along with references)?.:=))

Wish all Goanetters a "Happy Season of German Oktoberfest" with your favorite
beer
Regards,  GL
