Rahul has warned that the 2 Gujus  are seeking to crush Indian 
democracy.
But is there such thing as Indian democracy? Is there such a term in 
Hindi?
All that the Hindus have had over centuries is their many gods, some 
with weird shapes, festivals with crackers, silly rituals like immersing 
idols, sticking red dots on foreheads and white dashes on the forehead.


Apart from Nehru, educated in England, most of the later PMs were 
basically illiterates. One, Desai by name, proudly proclaimed his mania 
for drinking his own urine. The traditional Hindus love their cows and 
their dung. They are pretty poor at rational discourse. Is there 
rationality in Hinduism?


To return to the 2 Gujus, they feel free to do what they want and they 
can. NO laws constrain them.

All they want is power and more of it.

the midst of all non-Goans who have taken over Goa and the tar, that when dogs 
listen to instrumental Western songs they hear it as a Bollywood tune, which 
dogs really like. This hearing differential is true of some other animals too. 
i.e. animals do not hear as humans do. In fact, Clive who is illegally staying 
in Goa since the UK does not want him, told me yesterday at the Candolim tar 
that dogs see differently than humans even though humans assume all animal 
senses operate the same as humans. Gunther who is also illegally in Goa (as are 
many others from Germany who are also not wanted there), says many scientists 
make the same andromorphic mistake. Frederick who is looking for a deeper and 
better understanding so non-Goans can replace Goans in Goa, is looking for a 
Konkani word to describe this phenomenon.

Our concerns and suspicion about the planned sham Ribandar Health Centre
which was inaugurated on October 2nd to hoodwink us has been now officially
confirmed with the receipt of documents that I had sought under the Right
to Information Act from the Directorate of Health Services.

MLA Babush Monserrate as usual has taken us for a ride. The local three
Ribandar Councillors are equally culpable for having misinformed us and
kept the people in the dark on the true facts of this Health Centre despite
our repeated requests.

Of the three, the educated Councillors Vithal Chopdekar and Sandra da Cunha
cannot be forgiven for having fooled us. The third Councillor Silvestre
Fernandes can however be given the benefit of doubt as he is educationally
impoverished with just a 8th Std to his credit.

MLA Babush Monserrate has for long taken his voters for granted. This is
one Narkasur who needs to be reduced to political ashes.

Goa's Red Snapper wins hearts at the All Goa annual fishing contest.

The 14th All Goa Fishing Competition organised by United Friends, Panjim at
the Captain of Ports Jetty, Panjim on Sunday Oct 24th, recontinued after a
Covid 19 break in 2020, was held with much fanfare and a carnavalsque setup
along the picturesque River Mandovi promenade near the old secretariat at
Adil Shah Palace, Panjim.

The cloudy and humid Sunday weather did not deter 165 angling enthusiasts
from all parts of Goa and neighbouring Kholapur and Ratnagiri to come in
and try their luck and take a shot at the mega prizes.

"Not many will go home emptyhanded", said Mc Cedric da Costa as most
participants took home gifts and prizes.

The event was dedicated to late Valerio D'Silva from Alto Guimaraes who was
an avid angling enthusiast and member of United Friends who was one of the
inspirations behind the contest in the earlier years.

This year also saw a large number of child participants as also lady
entrants.
Some of the children and women also won individual prizes for fishing out
fish.

Many families too came along, while some participated in the contest,
others tried to give a first hand glimpse to their children and themselves
applauded as participants netted the fishes.

Mc Cedric da Costa, Margao, hosted the event and moderated the humourous
fishing debate among the participants, chief guests and prize distribution.

Most of the guests spoke of being passionate about fishing since childhood
and Chief Guest Sandeep Bharney, said that the thought behind the fishing
contest was to have a healthy competition among the various anglers who
would try their luck along the Mandovi promenade in Panjim, it later became
an all Goa affair and now promises to be All India and beyond in future.

Fr Roque, Tony Dias, Satish Rajmame and Sanjeev Sardessai participated in a
short input session on fishing in Goa and the contest.

Most speakers remembered with nostalgia the days when Goa's youth would
rush to fish during their spare time, specially during the monsoons.

Chief Guest Sandeep Bharney, a staunch supporter of the fishing contest
from it's inception, Satish Rajmane of Multiple Taask Holidays Goa, Tony
Dias, Jennifer D'Silva, Widow of late Valerio D'Silva, Sanjeev Sardessai,
noted historian & Fr Roque Costa, Chaplain of St Sebastian Chapel,
Fontainhas, Panjim, gave away the prizes to the participants and winners.

The event was held following Covid 19 protocol and SOPS.

In his address, Francis thanked the CCP Mayor Rohit Monsoratt and CCP
Commissioner Agnelo AJ Fernandes, for his support to the contest along with
PI Panjim Town Police and North Goa Collector Ajit Roy.

The following is the list of prize winners:

Ex Goa governor Satya Pal Malik alleged that the CM and his government are 
corrupt and answerable especially for wrong handling of Covid pandemic. I see 
huge hoardings boasting hundred crore jabs with thank you Modi for free jabs. 
The money did not come from the PMs pocket but from every citizen's heavy 
taxation with daily mini icreasing petrol and fuel prices now over the century 
mark, and GST on every item which the poor have to buy at soaring prices, with 
even onions unaffordable these days! Most governments worldwide vaccinate 
citizens for free as a duty. Being enlightened by electronic media on listing 
the huge monetary contributions figures indicated as donations made by the 
various prominent industriasts and businessmen to the government and added to 
secret contributions received in the Electrol Bonds, surely some compassion can 
be shown to peoples house budgets , with LPG touching the Rs 1000/- mark soon? 
The health of the people, animals (even cows are roaming the roads) also all 
flora and fauna all badly effected should be the government's No1 priority for 
a healthy nation?

The unprecedented momentum with which the Trinamool Congress is spreading its 
wings across the political firmament of Goa, ably managed by I-PAC, its 
political strategist seems to indicate rapid changes in Goa's political future. 
A lot depends on Mamata Banerjee's role as she embarks on a two-day visit to 
Goa starting today since she is a heir-apparent to the prime ministership of 
India. Having a major impact in such a short time is a major challenge for the 
TMC, though not insurmountable. It seem like it is definitely not a case of 
`political tourism". A survey conducted indicates that 65% of Goans want a 
change of guard in the state and thus this may suggest that the incumbent 
dispensation's popularity is fast on the wane. Another survey has revealed that 
the Congress has now only a 15% vote share, while the Aam Aadmi Party's vote 
share has increased to 22%.Importantly, the leveling of corruption charges by 
none other than the former Governor of Goa, Satya Pal Malik has further stirred 
the political cauldron in Goa. Such charges by a Constitutional head of State 
is extremely serious and damaging to the incumbent dispensation. This will 
further tilt the political balance of power in Goa. If such factors are taken 
into consideration, the entire political scenario in Goa is destined for a 
radical change.
