I believe you are only assuming that no one wants to volunteer for Goanet.
I have heard from half a dozen people who have offered their services -
only to get no response from the administrators (for life).

To answer your question though, I have not heard the call to be an
administrator of Goanet. So no, even if offered the position, I would
decline.

One last thing, there are several Goan groups on Facebook with verified
number of members. One has over 44,000 members. Nowadays a group can go
from zero to 10,000 members in six months. These are the places where you
will find fresh ideas.

Goanet, however, remains the bastion for 1961 - and all the events prior to
that.

   I was married  at this age  to a pretty  sixteen year old  who 
was the ‘magic’ that enriched my life!
   A sort of an arranged marriage in 1953. We celebrated  our 
golden wedding anniversary in
   2003. Sadly she passed  away in 2006 and out of my life.

SAD that Goanet, that started  with Goans worldwide discussing issues and 
actively debating have just melted out from the Forum.
A Forum that I took a liking because it had members who were qualified and fit 
to debate with.
Why have they all shunned Goanet now?
Will the Admins of Goanet introspect?

For nearly 2 decades I am reading that there are 10,000 subscribers to GN. My 
guess is that there may be  12 blokes connected to this forum. The rest, like 
the Selma, flew away and the bird watcher from the US Hellthatcar must have 
contracted bird flu and disappeared.
