The Repeat Examination for B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.C.A. - Semester I and III 
will commence from 15th October, 2016.  The repeat examination forms are 
available in the College Office during Office Hours.
The last day for submission of duly filled in form, along with the 
prescribed fees is 15th September, 2016.

No forms will be accepted after the last date.

The admissions for the M.Sc. Physical Chemistry Programme have started in St. 
Xavier's College, Mapusa, Goa.  Students who have passed B.Sc. with Chemistry 
(6 units or 3 units) are eligible to take admission to this programme.  They 
have to answer the entrance test which will be held on 10th June, 2015, from 
10:30 am to 12 noon in St. Xavier's College, Mapusa, Goa.  To pass the test 
they should score a minimum of 40% marks in the entrance test.  Merit list 
shall be prepared by taking into account 50% of entrance test marks plus 50% of 
B.Sc. marks.

The prospectus is available in the office of St. Xavier's College, Mapusa, Goa. 
 The last date for the submission of provisional forms along with self attested 
photocopy of the marksheet of Semester-VI is 9th June, 2015, by 12:00 noon.

PRESS NOTE


The Entrepreneurial Development Cell of St. Xavier's College is 
conducting summer courses on Glass Painting, Fabric and Pot Painting 
and Candle Making on 9th, 10th and 11th April, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. 
to 12:00 noon, respectively.  Each course fee is Rs.75.00, and is 
open to the public.


The participants will require to bring with them material such as 
glass A4 size for glass painting, One Meter Cloth for Fabric Painting 
and Mud Pot for Pot Painting.


The Course intends to train participants to prepare their own variety 
of glass paintings, fabric painting, pot painting as well as Wax and 
gel candles.

PRESS NOTE


 The Department of Electronics and Bio-technology of St. 
Xavier's College, Mapusa, are organizing a talk on GLOBAL WARMING 
AND CLIMATE CHANGE - REGULATING EARTH'S THERMOSTAT THROUGH 
TECHNOLOGY, on 4th December, 2007, at 2:30 p.m. in the College 
Hall.  The resource person is Dr. Joaquim I. Goes, Senior Research 
Scientist, Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences, U.S.A.

 Dr. Joaquim I. Goes has major interest in the general field 
of biological oceanography, with special reference to marine 
phytoplankton and how they react with the environment to influence 
the health of our planet.  His most recent work in this direction has 
led to the development of a satellite based method that makes it 
possible to estimate the drawdown of atmospheric carbon dioxide into 
the oceans by phytoplankton.

 Presently, he is working on a research project which is 
aimed at understanding the consequences of enhanced ultraviolet 
radiation on the marine ecosystem.  He is also working to develop the 
Flow Field-Flow Fractionation () technique for use in marine sciences.

 He has various publications in his name in national and 
international journals, and also has professional memberships and has 
received various awards.

 All those interested are invited to attend the talk.
