Hey Joe, do not miss use God’s authority

Re: Goanet] Shame on Saligao's parish priest

‘Joe, please in God's name, do not miss use his authority.
The priest are annointed. Do not get a curse befall on you,
your family or in whatever you do.’
God is great. God can do or give you anything.
Just knock at His door and the door will open.

Well, if you  or any of your family member is sick, I mean  terribly sick,
what will you do?
Kneel down to pray or knock at the church doors or phone a priest ?
OR
Knock at the doctor’s or phone 999 or 911 ( or 108 if in Goa)?

I have nothing more to say.

[Goanet] Hey Joe! ( My daughter is missing)

2009-06-27 Thread JoeGoaUk
Hey  Joe! ( My daughter is missing)

Joe, please, I need your advice.
Don’t know what to do..

- Hold on, take a deep breath..
Now, tell me what exactly the problem is?

My daughter along with her friend is missing.
Two days now, no sign of them.
Neither any phone call nor any messages.
I am worried..

- Oh I see, is that friend  a male or female?

Her best friend Rosy.

- Did your daughter have a boyfriend?

What Joe, what are you talking about?
My daughter  studying  in Std VII , for god sake!

-  Oh, I am so sorry
File a missing complaint with police as soon as possible

* * * * * * * * * *

Next day I did read about the missing minors/Police case in the local dailies.

Two day latter..
I  read in the newspaper again.

The two missing girls from Porvorim found in Goa-Velha
A neighbour upon seeing a minor or strange guest in a house, reported to Police
which helped them to trace both the girls and safely handed over to their
parents.

Now, you may want to know whether they have been kidnapped or a runaway case?
Well,  the girls say they went there on their own sweet will.

There? Where is ‘There’?
They have been staying with their boyfriends and they stayed there at least 4
days and 4 nights. Both were staying in Goa-Velha  in their respective
boyfriend’s houses

What about the other family members (of the boys)?  Were they not aware of it?
Well, boys’ parents, brother and sisters all knew about it but it seems they
had no problems with it.

So what do we learn from this ‘Real Story’?
(Did appear in Goan Dailies few months ago)

In Goa, age for consensual sex may be 18 or 21
But the age for falling in love is as low as 12?

Fyi, my son was only 11.5 when he was in STD VII .
Whereas his dad was 15 (that was the av. age at that time)

The so called ‘Mog’ or Love if any, used to happen only at college and
most got married by arranged marriages or by ‘Soirik’

But now, ‘LIVE love making’ of school pupils can be seen even in local buses,
usually on the last seat.

If this is the state of  Goan Love Affair,  I wonder what Americans are like, I
mean age wise?

Any one?

2009-06-27 Thread Roland Francis
Interesting question in the Canadian context JGU.

When I came to Canada in the early 1990s, I was quite repulsed with
the sight of young boys and girls necking, petting and french-kissing
on public roads and places. I am no prude but I thought to myself: I
have no problem with them doing that but why should I have to be able
to see it? Can't they do it in private? Does engaging in pre-sex mean
being exhibitionists?

Now in 2009, since you mention it, I can tell you such instances have
become more rare on Toronto roads. Wonder what the reason is. Is it
that computers occupy more of their engagement time. Is is that they
prefer sexting to the real thing. Or is it that they have finally
realized the joys of early parenthood are not all they are cut out to
be.

For whatever reason, I am glad my aging eyes can be engaged elsewhere.

Roland.

[Goanet] Hey Joe! (about Goan joker)

2009-04-16 Thread JoeGoaUk

Hey Joe!

Hey Joe. Did you know?

- What?

Goan Joker entertaining Karwar Nagris in Karwar?

- What you talking about? Who is the joker?

You remember some time back Margaret Alva (who was then looking after
Goa affair as AICC general secretary) calling some one a ‘joker’?

- Yes, I remember that very well and that was none other than Cherchil Alemao

The same Joker went to campaign for Margaret Alva in Karwar early
this week and he was one of the main speakers entertaining the
fishermen there. He now says ‘Alva is a good person’

- Shisssh! Loz naslolem bannxirem mure to

Btw, did you hear the Alva owns large piece of land somewhere near Dona Paula?
- Yes, I heard about that

Hey, Joe!(3)

Who you think is responsible for the 147 dead in temple stampede in Jodhpur
recently?

Could it be the Temple Committee?
Could it be the police?
Could it be the Government?

JoeSays:

How about the God Himself? The God who is supposed to be the protector of all,
how He could see people perished right into His courtyard?

Similar deaths also accured at Mecca (the Holi City of Islam)
So far, the stampede killed over 3200 pilgrims in Mecca alone.

Back in Goa, recently, when a man went to reach/immerse his Ganapati Idol in a
river, the man got immersed/drowned too.

Further more, take the recent happenings is Orisa, Mangalore etc and now in Goa
Cuncolim, Quepem etc where the churches and Temples are vandalised or
desecrated.
The God statues like stone Cow/bull/Linga, wooden Crucifix/crosses etc seen
vandalized/broken.

How the mighty God can possibly allow to touch Him and that too right into His
place of worship?

God! Next time if anyone comes to touch you or the place of worship, please
punish him or her then and there.

And that would mean...
- Saving our police from lengthy investigations etc: let them deal with other
types of crimes except religious matters.
- No giving any chance to politicians to use the religion as an issue.
- No more Goa Bandhs which put people to great hardship
- People would regain the trust and belief in you (that the God really exists).

[Goanet] Hey, Joe! (2)

2008-10-19 Thread JoeGoaUk
Hey, Joe!(2)

 It’s me Camilo from Canada
I heard your ancestor’s house up for sale.

- True. It’s 85 years old Portuguese house.
With Large ‘Entrad’, 1 large 'sal', Large ‘Refortori’, large ‘Kudd’, Large
‘Kujin’. 3 large ‘Quartos’, 2 ‘Kumao’ and with long ‘Bolcao’. Besides, 1
‘loz’, 1 ‘baim’ etc
Built up area 225sqmtr + land 2100

Why you are selling? You should keep the ancestors house…

- My wife does not like to stay in the old house, the locals and some crawling
insects, house lizards etc to blame. Also, it cost me too much to maintain the
house (we live in Agxi, remember?). I spend all the money that I get from
about 800 coconuts per quarter and on top I spend av. Rs.500 per month from my
pocket. Transport cost to from Agxi extra.

How much is the asking price?

Look, I have recently made some major repairs which cost me around 7 lacs.
Current Market price for land around that area is Rs.3000 s plus the house with
all the antiques furniture etc.

Avoi…. Make sure you sell it to a Goan and not a outsider

- Sorry, I am going to sell it to any one whoever gives me the best offer. Be
it a Goan or non-Goan or be it even a Ghantti, I don’t care. Like everybody
else, it’s the money I am after.

We Goans are of crab mentality and always after money. Goans in Goa have almost
sold out our beautiful Goa for money by selling their land/houses to outsiders
etc

- Wait a minute! Are you jealous o what? You pay me the top price and it’s all
yours.
Come on, you are a Goan and I am selling it to you. What you say?

Sorry, I won’t spent that much for a house.

- See, Goans don’t pay that much.
Please don’t tell me who to sell and who not to sell. It’s ok for people from
outside to dictate us here in the name of saving Goa. Remember, it’s the money
we are all after.
We never say enough. The more we have the more greedy we are. We never say,
Ah! We have enough money now, let’s go back to Goa for good.

Rich or big bhatkar people too leave Goa and they leave Goa for money, I mean
for more money. So, there is nothing wrong on our part to make some money on
properties etc. which we only sell once.

You may be wrong there. There are not many rich or big bhatkar people. That
is a myth. Bhatkar people pay foro but get nothing in return.

Bhatcar is not even allowed to lease the land to someone else even though it is
lying fallow -- mundcar's grandsons are all in the Gulf minting money,
mundcar's son has rebuilt the house bhatcar gave to his father, into a better
house than the bhatcar, and no longer needs to work in the bhats.

So what else to do? Bhatcar converts prime agricultural land into
non-agricultural (as it hasn't produced anything in the last few years) and
sells to the nearest real-estate developer.

This is the result of the Land Tenancy Act.

 So, there is nothing
wrong on our part to make some money on properties etc.
 which we only sell once.

True. Goods (or land) once sold, cannot be taken back.

Hey, Joe!

I was with my friends circle (including some females)..
The Mr. Caitan suddenly appeared from no where and shouted..

Hey, Joe!
Yesterday I saw you with your wife late evening at Campal Children Park

Myself: (with embarrassment) , tell me Caitan, when was the last time you spent
late evening with your wife in any gardens?

Caitan: Joe, you know very well, we do not spend time like that.. it was
before our marriage as boyfriend-girlfriend that we spent most evenings in
almost all parks in Goa.

Myself: So, you idiot, what made you think that I was with my wife then?

(dusre pautti tondd samballun uloi, naslear konnui tujem sound box foddit).

Dista toxen nasta.

If she was not my wife, then what are the other possibilities?

My old time friend
My cyber friend
My Ex-girlfriend
My Mistress
My Kumar(i)
My Time pass
My Date
My overtime
My extramarital activities
My new lover
My business partner
My Secretary
My PA
My exchange Program (a part of)
etc etc

And have you got any problem with that?

It’s none of your business

Just grow up.

Just live and others live
