My condolences, George; may his soul RIP.
I knew him a bit when I was very very young, in Bombay; and I do remember 'see 
and hear' him play with his Bombay band. He was then the Toast of the Town. A 
great musician indeed.
 
Little did I know that he was Karachi returned, after partition perhaps!And 
now, I know that he is related to you. Small world indeed!

yesterday, age 97. He was well known in Bombay's big-band jazz era and some on 
this forum has heard him play at the TAJ hotel or other events. Born in 
Mombassa, he also spent time in Karachi and met up with a few Karachi Goans in 
Miramar 2 years ago, followed by the Goanetters meet.

Heartfelt condolences to the family members of one of the greatest GOAN 
musicians Micky Correia of MOIRA.


It was my pleasure to meet him in person and shake his hand when he attended 
the Goa Sudharop Prize distribution function at the Mandovi Hotel, Panjim 
along with his son.


Sincere and deep condolences to you George of the sad passing away.

May his good soul rest in eternal peace.
