Wow. And once again para 2 from my earlier post:

The button Aguiar points to as Lenin, in the video, is of John Lennon =
IMAGINE. Observe carefully, and view large. That is Arun in his own
inimitable manner. No cause for sadness. Perhaps those who know Arun Aguiar
(to some degree) may agree, as he puts it -- he has no axe to grind
whatsoever.

The visual world is certainly a minefield, and I do not mean abstraction,
leave alone my practice of extreme abstraction. But in all gracious
interaction, something may be gleaned and/or learned.

The button Aguiar points to as Lenin, in the video, is of John Lennon =

Mario observes:

Obviously a minefield that I stepped into due to the context of Arun's song.

My apologies to Arun if his objective is to help lead a peaceful revolution he
somehow considers progressive as his imagery of Gandhiji and Lennon - not
Lenin - would suggest

Very appreciable Mario Goveia. No worries. I am sure he would be cool. This
is harmless stuff; not a minefield in the real metaphorical/art critical
sense of the word/notion.

Wishing you and all Goanetters a great Thanksgiving (in contemporaneity –
for what we able to partake though our being in these times).

Arun Aguiar is a Goan.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5yeyy-6uLQ

HIs father was Prof. Aguiar (Vice Principal, and Professor of English, Logic,
Philosophy, Latin). He was also Knight Commander of Order of
St Gregory, and President of the Catholic Association of Bombay. Arun's mother
was Prof. Yvette Coelho (Head of Dept. of French) at St. Xaviers. Mumbai.

Mario observes:

Very sad to see Arun, scion of an accomplished Goan family, confusing Gandhiji
with Lenin.

Gahndhiji's ideas led to a peaceful and successful non-violent revolution
against the mightiest colonial superpower of its era.

Lenin's ideas led to the most evil and violently blood thirsty political
systems ever devised by man to control and oppress their fellow man, which all
eventually imploded under its internal absurdities and inconsistencies and
failure to understand the unquenchable desire of individual human beings for
freedom and independence.

Basically this is another one of those matchless Goans -- a kokopelli -- and
a huge presence to boot. He knows his plays, and is the one being playful. I
have known him for years. Oh, and yes -- has two lovely daughters (That is
my unabashed observation). No further observations from me.
