2020-02-25 Thread 'Pierre-Yves (Google Cloud Support)' via Google App Engine
Hello Larry,

Could you please provide the full console output after the re-try? This may
provide a hint as to which files were unsuccessfully downloaded in the
first try.

[google-appengine] Cloud Build Error when deploying GAE

2020-02-25 Thread Larry Schiefer
Our project uses GAE standard, auto-scaling, Python 2.7. We deploy using
gcloud and haven't changed anything regarding the way we deploy. However,
now we are starting to see these types of errors when we deploy:

File upload done.
Updating service [default]...failed.

ERROR: (gcloud.app.deploy) Error Response: [9] Cloud build
42869100-9940-4821-8d40-3c52bf2fa268 status: FAILURE.
Build error details: Failed to download at least one file. Cannot continue.
.
Check the build log for errors:
https://console.cloud.google.com/gcr/builds/42869100-9940-4821-8d40-3c52bf2fa268?project=

If we re-deploy (same command, same code) it then succeeds. If we follow
the link in the error message, it always shows "unable to find the
resource" error. Does anyone know why this is happening all of the sudden?

Gcloud details:
Google Cloud SDK 260.0.0
app-engine-python 1.9.86
app-engine-python-extras 1.9.86
bq 2.0.47
cloud-datastore-emulator 2.1.0
core 2019.08.23
gcloud
gsutil 4.42

Thanks,
Larry

[google-appengine] VPC access connectors can turn killed instances to zombies (you'll have to keep paying for)

2020-02-25 Thread Haavard Nord
I've had this email exchange with GCP billing support for almost two months
now and getting nowhere.

My two projects are built on app engine standard, using VPC access
connector to connect our services
to a compute engine instance running Redis. This works well.

When experimenting with CE instances in December, I created and killed some
instances in both
projects. I noticed later on the billing statement that I kept accruing
costs for these killed instances that
were now gone and out of reach.

After lots of emailing back and forth with billing support, I finally get
this answer:

I have a feedback from the specialized team and they advised that using of
> "VPC access connectors" in managed
> instance group which makes some of the instances not visible to your end
> which is the reason why you are unable
> to see the instance that is accruing charge to your account.

The implication of this is that using the officially supported VPC access
connectors can turn killed instances to zombies
that are out of your reach since you already killed them, but they linger
deep down in GCP and will show up on your
billing statement every month.

Doesn't sound right, and doesn't sound like Google.

Anyone else experienced this?

Haavard

[google-appengine] Is express.router compatible with endpoints over app engine?

2020-02-25 Thread Isaac Mena
Hi all, I developed a local API in Nodejs using express.router to route the
calls but as I want to move to GCP - App Engine using endpoints, I´m now
changing some things but I don´t really know or find information about how
to migrate the usage of express.router.

Of course I´m getting errors calling my API where the method is not found
but I´m not sure if I just need to get rid of my router or if it is a way
to set in some way the router defintion into my openapi yaml or something
like that.

[google-appengine] How to use Docker Bench for Security for image on Google Cloud?

2020-02-25 Thread Kenny Lo

Hi all,

I have an image in Container Registry and deployed to App Engine flex.

How do I use Docker Bench for Security to check my containers security?
