For use of the Service in excess of any portion of the Fee Threshold, you shall be responsible for all charges up to the amount set in your online account, and shall pay all charges in U.S. Dollars or in such other currency as agreed to in writing by the parties. Unless agreed to by the parties in writing, you shall pay all charges in accordance with the payment terms in the Service FAQ. Late payments may bear interest at the rate of 1.5% per month (or the highest rate permitted by law, if less). Charges are exclusive of taxes. You are responsible for paying all taxes and government charges, and all reasonable expenses and attorneys fees Google incurs collecting late amounts. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you waive all claims relating to charges unless claimed within 60 days after the charge (this does not affect your credit card issuer rights). Charges are solely based on Google's measurements of your use of the Service, unless otherwise agreed to in writing. To the fullest extent permitted by law, refunds (if any) are at the discretion of Google and only in the form of credit for the Service. Nothing in these Terms obligates Google to extend credit to any party. [google-appengine] Re: URGENT!!! Let delete my Apps, I can not pay your bill
Good idea :-) I'm sure there's a contact form somewhere in the docs Where is the GAE contact form? On Feb 28, 2:26 pm, peterk peter.ke...@gmail.com wrote: I can't, no, I don't work for google. If you are insistent that your apps should be deleted because you don't want to accept the new terms, then I would suggest emailing google directly. I'm sure there's a contact form somewhere in the docs. In the meantime, if you want to simply disable your apps: If you would like to disable an existing application, first you should remove the handlers from your application's app.yaml file. Add a handler to your app.yaml file that points to a non-existent file. Using appcfg.py, upload the blank app.yaml file. Once the new app.yaml file is uploaded, your application will be disabled. On Feb 28, 2:17 pm, peterk peter.ke...@gmail.com wrote: App deletion is not available to anyone at the moment, whether you accept the new terms or not. You will not be billed for anything if you didn't explicitly sign up for billing. In order to be billed you would have to: a) accept the new terms b) go into billing settings c) enable billing d) set a daily budget $0 I'm assuming you haven't done this, so you don't need to be worried about billing. If your app goes over quota, Google isn't going to bill you, they'll just throttle access to your app. They can't (yet) read the credit card information from your wallet.. If you want to disable your apps, even if you can't delete them, I'm sure you can do something with your code to disable them. But what harm are they doing? [google-appengine] Re: GAE is Wrong
Exclusive: Google App Engine ported to Amazon's EC2 http://waxy.org/2008/04/exclusive_google_app_engine_ported_to_amazons_ec2/ One of the biggest criticisms of Google's App Engine have been cries of lock-in, that the applications developed for the platform won't be portable to any other service. This morning, Chris Anderson, the Portland-based cofounder of the Grabb.it MP3 blog service, just released AppDrop — an elegant hack proving that's not true. AppDrop is a container for applications developed with the Google App Engine SDK, running entirely on Amazon's EC2 infrastructure ...
