Re: [appengine-java] Re: Google Plugin for Eclipse 3.6 is now available
When I tried installing from the Marketplace on Eclipse Helios EE x64 for Mac OS X, Eclipse crashed each time it would start up (right when it tried to load the GEP). I had to manually remove the plugin to get Eclipse to start up. After "uninstalling" (it was already gone) the Marketplace version, I tried installing from the update site and got it working. -- Arthur Kalmenson On Tue, Jun 29, 2010 at 12:27 AM, Benjamin wrote: > Just to Add to Arian's post. Re: [appengine-java] HtmlUnit support on GAE for GWT crawlability
The Google bot can crawl Javascript based sites, why not follow their guidelines? http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2009/10/proposal-for-making-ajax-crawlable.html -- Arthur Kalmenson On Sat, Aug 21, 2010 at 9:46 PM, Matt H wrote: > Hello. > > I'm wanting to make my GWT app on App Engine crawlable by using > HtmlUnit to serve up the page content to the Googlebot. > > Has anyone been able to successfully use HtmlUnit 2.8 on GAE? > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "Google App Engine for Java" group. > To post to this group, send email to google-appengine-j...@googlegroups.com. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > google-appengine-java+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/google-appengine-java?hl=en. > > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google App Engine for Java" group. Re: [appengine-java] HtmlUnit support on GAE for GWT crawlability
I know the Google Bot uses HtmlUnit to render the page, but I don't think you need to run it on your own in GAE. OK, so I actually read it now :P. I didn't notice that you actually have to run HtmlUnit on your own. Re: [appengine-java] app in gwt+gae
The site looks alright but a couple of things: - Using the tag usually leads to being banned from the Internet. - The website width is about 3000px on Chrome, that's probably not correct. Otherwise, it's not too bad, good job! -- Arthur Kalmenson On Wed, Sep 1, 2010 at 11:37 AM, ale wrote: > Hi everybody, > in my free time (from work/family/friends) I create a webapp using GWT > and GAE, and know I'm happy to expose to you. > > The application is > > http://www.meandsport.com > > The site is designed to manage amateur sports leagues, and you can > register teams, matches and championships. > For everything you can import pictures and videos from flickr picasa > youtube, you can comment, you can send messages. > > I hope that you will like it, and you will use it (and tell to your > friends) > If you have suggest on the entire application (probably is full of > error) you are welcome! > If you want some sticker tell me your address and I'll send to you. > > If you want to know how is implemented something (like integration > with service...), I will be happy to explain how can I did. > > Regards > Alessandro > > P.S. > Actually the application is translated (or will be translated soon) in > English, French, Italian, Sweden, Tamil, > Hindi, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Marathi (thanks > to some reader of this group!), if someone would like to translate to > other lang is welcome (see the thread > http://groups.google.com/group/google-appengine-java/browse_thread/thread/c8fda32d4081558a/5f7b4e54184f54ea?lnk=gst&q=translations#5f7b4e54184f54ea) > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "Google App Engine for Java" group.
