[Google Wave APIs] New Wave Robots API v2 New Wave-Based Forum
We have now released the Wave Robots API v2, which we have been alluding to in various forum posts here. This API makes it easy for developers to push information to waves (like on cron jobs or from websites), and it also resolves a lot of issueshttp://code.google.com/p/google-wave-resources/issues/list?can=1q=Fixed:apiv2colspec=Stars+ID+Type+Status+Priority+Milestone+Owner+Summary+Internalcells=tiles developers had with the old API (not all, but many). For more information on the new API, read through through the launch blog posthttp://googlewavedev.blogspot.com/2010/03/introducing-robots-api-v2-rise-of.html . Additionally, as part of this release, we're experimenting with holding discussions about the new API in Google Wave itself. We've actually created a robot to help facilitate these conversations, and you can read more about how to join in on the discussions on the Wave API Forum Botty pagehttp://code.google.com/apis/wave/forum.html . As noted on that page, we will still continue to monitor this group for posts, and if you are unable or unwilling to use the wave-based forum for whatever reason, feel free to post your questions here. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Google Wave API group. [Google Wave APIs] V2 API errors in Documentation and capabilities.xml?
Hi together, today I got a mail concerning a bugfix I've been waitig for a long time. So I tried to port my bot to the V2 API. After writing a hello world bot following the tutorial (http:// code.google.com/intl/de-DE/apis/wave/extensions/robots/java- tutorial.html), I noticed some things. First of all the tutorial says to write the following lines to the web.xml whic will redirect every access to the _wave folder to the Servlet. servlet-nameParroty/servlet-name url-pattern/_wave/*/url-pattern So how should one access the capabilities.xml? It always gives me error 500 and in the logs there's some error: java.lang.IllegalAccessException: Class org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.Holder can not access a member of class ... So I cannot access the file to check if deployment worked as proposed in the tutorial. And will the capabilities.xml file really be created automatically? So currently I'm not able to get anything running with the V2 Tutorial. Hope somebody can help! Thanks in advance... I'm not sure where the bug is, but I thought it might be Google Groups' fault. I thought it strange that the 'to' field was empty. and it somehow made its way to me. Re: Not read: [Google Wave APIs] Re: robots (self)added message gets appendedtwice
What happened is that Mia is using Microsoft Outlook, and has the Reply Receipts feature enabled. When she decided to delete the referenced email, without reading it, Outlook automatically sent the sender ( google-wave-api@googlegroups.com) an email telling us that. It's a useful feature, although it doesn't play well with mailing lists and google groups. - Stephen On Wed, Mar 3, 2010 at 4:59 AM, Chris jesdisci...@gmail.com wrote: I'm not sure where the bug is, but I thought it might be Google Groups' fault. [Google Wave APIs] Typo on wave api python robot tutorial
On http://code.google.com/apis/wave/extensions/robots/python-tutorial.html there is a typo with the name of the python application used to deploy robots. The text reads: When deploying, the App Engine launcher will ask you for the username and password associated with the registered application, and execute appfg.py.
