Those same errors occur when Wave client itself is loaded, so are not
unique to the Embed API (as far as I'm aware). I believe only
Webkit-based browsers throw them.

Re: [Google Wave APIs] Re: Embed API: Preview vs Sandbox

2009-11-15 Thread Matt Richards
Ah, thanks!
Figured it was something with my Wave ID.
I had some extra chars in the ID..

 Hello,
 I've been exploring the embed API and I started out with the example

 I can get this code to properly embed a wave from the sandbox, however
 when I modified it to display a Wave I have started in the Preview, it
 does not appear to work. Below is the code I've modified in attempt to
 make it work with the Preview However, I get a blank screen.

 URL:http://eggy.cc/wave.html
 !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN

     meta http-equiv=content-type content=text/html; charset=utf-8/

     titleGoogle Wave Embed API: Simple Wave/title
     script src=http://wave-api.appspot.com/public/embed.js;
 type=text/javascript/script
     script type=text/javascript
     function initialize() {
       var wavePanel = new WavePanel(http://wave.google.com/wave/;);
       wavePanel.loadWave(googlewave.com!w+252Bnfj8BmBkD);
       wavePanel.init(document.getElementById('waveframe'));
     }
     /script
   /head
   body onload=initialize()
     div id=waveframe style=width: 500px; height: 100%/div
   /body
 /html
 I've checked the wave-id, I'm pretty sure I have the correct one.. I
 can pull it up in the preview with the ?#restore:wave:googlewave.com!w
 %252Bnfj8BmBkD url..

 The same code below works with the sandbox..

 http://eggy.cc/wave-simple.html

 !DOCTYPE html PUBLIC -//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN
     http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd;
 html xmlns=http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml; xmlns:v=urn:schemas-
 microsoft-com:vml

     titleGoogle Wave Embed API Example: Simple Wave/title
     script src=http://wave-api.appspot.com/public/embed.js;

     script type=text/javascript
     function initialize() {
       var wavePanel = new WavePanel(http://wave.google.com/a/
 wavesandbox.com/);
       wavePanel.loadWave(wavesandbox.com!w+UH2BJasiA);
       wavePanel.init(document.getElementById('waveframe'));
     }
     /script
   /head

   body onload=initialize()
     div id=waveframe style=width: 500px; height: 100%/div
   /body
 /html

 Any ideas? Right now, I'm thinking I'm not using the correct wave-id
 but I'm a tad lost as to why that would be when I'm able to pull it up
 within preview using the ?#restore URL..

[Google Wave APIs] Re: Embed API Creative Commons License Questions

2009-10-29 Thread pamela (Google Employee)
Hi Eric-

The CC license is applicable to the documentation, not to the API.

You can read more about what that license means on the CC site (linked from
that footer).

You can write code that uses the API, of course.

 Hey guys,

 Can you elaborate on what Remix means in the license?

 Are we allowed to create our own code and use it with the Embed API?

 Thanks  God Bless,

[Google Wave APIs] Re: Embed API Creative Commons License Questions

2009-10-29 Thread Eric Dorman

I am building a third party app and I would like it to get WaveID's
automaticly from Google Wave.

This probably is not allowed,but is there a way developers can create
their own apis to show any Waves on their website without using the
Embed API or is the Embed API the only way to embed a Wave on your
website?

I know I have been asking a lot about the Embed API over this past
week,but I just want to make sure I am understanding you guys
currectly.

Thanks  God Bless,
Eric

  So if the CC License is applicable to the documentation,then what are

 While I can't say anything about the Embed API, the Robots API Libraries
 have been released under the Apache 2.0 license.

Receiving this in Firefox-Tools-Error Console, followed by a bunch

I'm trying to copy/paste the code into a local file and few in

JavaScript error, then a blank screen.

This isn't working for me. If I am logged out of Wave, it does embed

  object, but https is preferable because it won't trigger a redirect:

    new WavePanel('https://wave.google.com/a/wavesandbox.com/')

  However, neither prefix is acceptable when calling loadWave. Use
  only the quoted value returned by the Debug Get current Wave ID
  menu.

   3. currently addPaticipants() and addReply() is not working for
   security reason.

  Both methods should be working.

   4. we can make little more using custom initializing jscript instead
  http://wave-api.appspot.com/public/embed.js(downloadit and see ;)
   plushttps://wave.google.com/gadgets/js/core:rpcitis complexed calls
   via gadget rpc

  Is there a question in there?

   5. we will get in future:
   * Anonymous Access
   * Search Panel
   * Provide Participants
   * Communication Hub

   is it right?

  Mostly. ;-) But you're more likely to get what you want if you tell us
  here:http://code.google.com/p/google-wave-resources/issues/list.

[Google Wave APIs] Re: Embed API only on appspot

2009-10-06 Thread rick eisenmenger

aaahh... thanks david. that makes sense.

while at it, does anyone know of alternative ways to authenticate
against the sandbox? (no immediate results with a quick search.) i am
more or less trying to call that wave through a remote server's
application.

thanks
rick

[Google Wave APIs] Re: Embed API only on appspot

2009-10-06 Thread Justin W

Could we get one more hint?
  I am still unclear about the opt_rootUrl:String argument to method
WavePanel. Would this have a special port number attached so that some
alternate http process owned by the wave server takes the connection?
Or perhaps I need to write some kind of CGI or servlet or something
that passes data back and forth to http callers? If some kind of
servlet is needed, would you provide a citation to a reference
implementation?
  Gratefully,
