GWT compilation failed
Hello All, I'm a newbie in GWT, but it seems really cool. I'm using eclipse with mysql and tomcat 6 to run my webapplication. Now I want to add some features using GWT. I added eclipse pluging and created a test project, compile it and everything worked perfectly. Then I implemented my needed features tested them in GWT project and they worked as expected. Now I want to combine those two into one project and I really prefer to merge the GWT project into my dynamic web application. In the project settings I checked "use Google Web Toolkit" option, created a module and an empty entry point class (just for checking) then I tried to compile project using "GWT compile" and I got "GWT compilation failed". I tried to create a war directory and I checked the xml files, everything looks fine. How can I continue from here? GWT compilation failed
I am developping a GWT Application and when I was about to compile I got a message "GWT Compilation Failed" without any stacktrace. Then I've tried something even simpler, like creating the sample application and I've got "Creation of element failed. Reason: Invocation of com.google.gwt.user.tools.WebAppCreator failed". I did a lot of research and tried a lot of stuff (change folder permissions, deactivate antivirus, changed version of eclipse and gwt, checked windows event logger (found nothing), recreate workspace, remove ClassPath environment variavble...). The most weird thing is that in my personal computer everything works fine, but copying the eclipse folder to my work's computer I get always the same problems. Any help with this?? I'm still stuck.. and the actual error is as follows [ERROR] Unable to compile. java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "java": error=2, No such file or directory My project used to compile and deploy to the app engine properly. Then I separated the GWT project into 3 projects.. one is the main module and the other two are two sub projects. And after this the deploy to google app engine stopped working. However the app works locally. Can anyone let me know the actual issues here? Re: GWT Compilation Failed
Just and update.. Fixed this issue. I was repeating add-linker in the gwt.xml file. These linkers are added by the modules that I was inheriting. When I removed the duplciate add-linker then the issue was resolved. On Mar 9, 7:07 pm, Muthu wrote: > Any help with this?? Re: GWT compilation failed
There are some incompatibilities between Eclipse's Dynamic Web Projects, and applying the GWT Nature to these projects. When we wrote the plugin, we did not explicitly try to integrate with Eclipse's J2EE support. However, a few people on here have figured out a way to make the two work together. See the following link for more information: http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Web-Toolkit/browse_thread/thread/39e0ff6325e4d504/55bfd342d77ec910 Keep in mind that when applying the GWT Nature, you need to create your 'war' directory first, and then apply the nature. If you did not do this, you can correct the problem by removing the nature, applying the changes, and then re-adding the nature. See http://code.google.com/eclipse/docs/existingprojects.html for more information. If you're still stuck, post back here with the details (including extra information, especially in the case of a GWT Compilation failure). It worked perfectly, thank you. On Aug 10, 4:12 pm, Rajeev Dayal wrote: > There are some incompatibilities between Eclipse's Dynamic Web Projects, and > applying the GWT Nature to these projects. Re: GWT Compilation Failed
I know this post is a bit old, but I recently came across the same compilation problem and the problem/soln is I had an annotated class like: @SuppressWarnings({}) public class LeftPanel my fix was to take out the @SuppressWarnings({}) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Web Toolkit" group. Re: GWT compilation failed
Sorry for my former post, I should have read similar questions regarding "WebCreator failed". Finally found the answer here: https://code.google.com/archive/p/google-web-toolkit/issues/5586. Removing system wide classpath entry indeed solved the problem. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "GWT Users" group. Re: GWT compilation failed
Hi, solved. I tried around several things. I think deleting the files in the gwt-unitCache folder solved it. I had this same issue, and deleting the gwt-unitCache worked for me. Thanks On Tuesday, April 30, 2013 2:29:52 AM UTC-4, Magnus wrote: > > Hi, > > solved. > I tried around several things.
