They are for motorcars, I don't know the name of the factory (look at http://www.side-bike.de/ for the five spokes). Some people have put three spokes wheels on there GTS/FJ-sidecars, as you can see on the Sidepower site ( http://www.gvd.dk/sidepower/ ). All the wheels on the different GTS are 14 inch. BTW if you put this wheels on a solo GTS you will have a great straight on stability. Also you don't need your jiffy stand any longer. But there will be some trouble in the corners and curves ;-) Proost (= Cheers in Dutch) John Dreuning GTS/Mega Comete sidecar without jiffy stand "Loss, Joe" wrote: > John, > > Where did you guys get your wheels from? John, Where did you guys get your wheels from? I realize the sidecar sizes are no good to me but, I'd love to get a set of lightweight good looking wheels for the GTS. As far as I know nothing is available. The front wheel is IMO the worst design element of the GTS. Too swoopy looking. It's not really horrible but it looks like it would be better suited on a hot rod or a cruiser. Cheers Joe. -Original Message- From: dreuning [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, March 22, 2000 5:01 PM To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: Re: GTS interchange parts list? RE: GTS Wheels
Mike, I don't have a picture, but I what I did was had the wheels polished and then powdered coated (clear). This make them look like polished alumimum instead of chrome. They seem to look cleaner after a days ride and also are easier to clean when the do get dirty. Mike; He is on the list but I think he only reads his mail every few days. He is at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Doug could tell you just what he had done. Bob

Re: GTS Wheels
I don't know about others but my front wheel's finish was gouged up beyond polishing. Seems that by hanging out in the wind unprotected it gets chipped and nicked by rocks and debris (maybe a 3rd world road thing). I wound up having both wheels painted, to good effect. Re: GTS Wheels
Mike; Doug McLeod had his wheels either powdercoated then clearcoated or had them polished and clearcoated and they look great all the time. Of course his bike always looks like it rolled off the showroom floor and it has about 35,000 on it. Bob J.

My name is Louis and I have a confession. I pass my MCN's on to my uncle. I know it is sad. Re: GTS Wheels
MAAS won't damage any of the clear coat that is remaining. I prefer CANDO to S100. Motorcycle Consumer News did an article a while back about detailing products and I think Maas and Cando both got very high markings. If memory serves (rarely happens) Cando was the most economical and the most effective. Jay can you help out with the issue this article was in? By polishing it, you are removing the clear finish and getting down the the metal. I have found that I just use S100 wheel cleaner, and then follow up with wax on the smooth part, and then S100 protectant on the whole thing to protect the rough stuff. This also helps in later cleaning and makes the S100 wheel cleaner go farther. Although the S100 protectant, wheel clean and Bike Wash are great products, they are somewhat expensive. The protectant goes a long way though... Once the wheels get real bad, I plan to have them mirror polished by a local guy. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 10, 2000 11:04 AM To: Multiple recipients of list Subject: Re: GTS Wheels I just finished reading the February 2000 MotorCyclist magazine. Personally, I use bug and tar remover, maybe WD40 on really hard stuff, then dish soap and lots of elbow grease. Nothing else. Re: GTS Wheels
One thing I have been thinking.. I wonder how well an electric toothbrush will work in those hard to reach areas? I think it might be really nice in some tight spots. I have used a flexible shaft dremel for some polishing in the past and it worked well. MAAS. The best cleaner/polish/protectant available. I use MAAS probably twice a year and at the end of any long rides I wipe the wheels down with CANDO. Louis YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET!
