I think there comes a point when you either admit defeat, or
find other places to post.

+1

I think posting job adverts on the list is a good thing, in
general, but this job has been posted numerous times with no
(apparent) success - that suggests either:

  * Your requirements are too tight.
  * Your pay is too low.
  * Your target audience isn't here.

Agreed; I had this exact same conversation with jt on Surrey LUG
last month and aside from him using it as an opportunity to talk
about it some more, and then repeatedly bother me offlist about it
despite my clear indication that I wasn't interested, nothing at all
appeared to penetrate the clue horizon. I get the impression he
loves a bit of controversy as it's just a chance to post even more.

Please can he be asked to stop posting this vacancy or else face
moderation? And that includes re-branding it into something else to
justify posting it again.

And to sclug and to oxlug.

And surrey, watford, gloucs, dorset, ...

James, please consider just using linuxj...@mailman.lug.org.uk instead
of each individual LUG near your area.

I have already asked him this, as did several other people, and he
basically said that he didn't want to restrict himself to linuxjobs
as his vacancy is so great that even people not looking for jobs
right now need to hear about it.

It's a lost cause.

Cheers,
Andy
