[HCDX] Fw: Pse send an International Complaint via your national telecoms. authorities!
- Original Message - From: dj9kr @ arcor.de Sent: Saturday, August 05, 2006 6:46 PM Subject: Pse send an International Complaint via your national telecoms. authorities! Dear fellow intruder busters, Radio China, or is it China Radio is back on the air: Today it has been transmitting all day long from 1000 UTC onward till 1640 UTC (and is still on) on the QRG 14260 kHz with loud signal. The BC always switches off at full hour (on the second) and comes back exactly 5 minutes later. There are no spoken words; it is just a music program with flutes, drums, violins and gongs, and the whole music is repeated each hour. Will you please contact your telecoms. authorities for an International Complaint? The more complaints, the better! Fraternally yours in the intruder spotting job, Ulrich (Uli) Bihlmayer DJ9KR / DL0IW Vice-Coordinator of IARU-MS Region 1 and Coordinator of DARC-MS - - - You can't trust the Chinese... Dear Bill, dear Chuck, I was very happy that after my letter to the Chinese Embassy at Berlin on 18...-MHz-amateur radio frequencies (last intrusion was heard July 25 on 18160 kHz) the intrusions seemed to have ceased. SEEMED! Furthermore, on August 2, I had received a phone call from a Mrs Ju from the Press Department of the Chinese Embassy in Berlin. She told me that she had sent all my complaints to the relevant administrations in the P.R. of China. These officials of these bureaus had excused themselves for having caused interference to the Amateur Radio Service. Mrs Ju told me, that these intrusions had to do with ionospheric conditions. (of course!-DJ9KR) And just now I have got your email re. Chinese intrusions AGAIN. Right now I am hearing the transmissions on 14260 kHz myseld with S 9 loud and clear in my radio station. It is only Chinese music with flutes, horns, gongs and violins. No spoken word, yet. BTW: 18180 kHz is NOT an Amateur Radio frequency. I will keep on listening and will ALERT again the Chinese diplomates in Berlin. You really can not TRUST the Chinese... Re: [HCDX] Transmundial on 4990
Michael, das hatten wir letzte Woche diskutiert: Wirklich Brazil oder CVI via Meyerton-AFS ? 73 wb UNID 4990 Brazilian. Unidentified Brazilian last night (Sun 7th May) on 4990 kHz (or a shade above, say 4990.02). Heard from 2150 tune-in but seemed to disappear at 2204. Weak and noisy. Definitely Portuguese (not Dutch or Spanish) and typical echoey talk. Fanfare at end(?) of programme 2200 - mentioned programa 'Sol da ter'.. and possible mention of Goiania. But no ID copied. Any one know what this could be? (Alan Pennington-UK, dxld May 7) Alan ... someone in JPN was also puzzled by this Brazilian station a short time ago. I suggest that it is actually CVC International via Meyerton according to an item from Radio Bulgaria DX Mix Nx of April 28th. They report that CVC operates on 4990 via MEY 100 kW non-directional to CeSoAfrica in Portuguese at 1905-2205. This is a new freq instead of former 9620. The disappearance of the signal at 2204 coincides with the reported sign-off. (Noel R. [HCDX] 5767 UNID distorted En speaking station
UNID5766.9 ... 5767 kHz centered frequency for an UNID English speaking station, noted around 0100-0130 UT on Feb 5th. Totally distorted signal, like Aurora affected via Northern Atlantic path, no carrier. Contained very low Upper Side Band portion level. When set the AOR 7030 and Sony ICF2010 to in LSB mode / SYNC detection mode function, centered frequency approx. 5766.9 kHz. We had very, very good propagation condition last night in 22 to 60 mb range. A lot of LatAM and Asian stations could be heard on all these overcrowded bands. http://myafn.dodmedia.osd.mil/radio/shortwave shows AFRTS Barrigada-Guam, but I can't believe that path, due of daytime in Pacific between India, Anchorage and Los Angeles at this time span. [HCDX] HFCC acts ...
Wrong coordination policy on 15485 kHz, at least on Sundays, when ERT Delano is on air too. At 1600-1700 UT Nov 27th, I noted different 3 sender programmes in different targets, like fighting CVC Santiago, BBCWS Skelton, and - sundays - ERT Delano CA-USA. Under specific PHYSICAL conditions, signals will never stop on the various meant target boundaries. There are lots of free channels in 19 mb at this time slot. Similar conflicts in Europe noted on 9460 2100 UT RSO/LIS, or 17650 0800-1000 UT KAS-CHN in Mandarin/French, and NHK-ASC in Japanese. The frequency coordination process is seriously flawed. Surely FMO's in HFCC can get their acts together better than this? Noel Green comments: There really does seem to be too much lack of coordination of frequencies and I thought the HFCC was supposed to prevent this occuring ? I've noted that changes are already taking place by various broadcasters. Of course, the situation on 41 49m will be very desperate due to a shortage of clear frequencies and to DRM noise. But broadcasters should surely have realised this and planned for it. 15485/15475 are frequencies that Glenn Hauser often writes about and I can well understand the point he is trying to make. 73 wb ---[Start Commercial]- World Radio TV Handbook 2006 is coming out. [HCDX] VoKorea now on EVEN frequency !
KOREA D.P.R. Checked all VoKOR channels in past days. I can state, that the station has OVERCOME now the serious main power problem, usually happens during Korean winter season. Voltage drops down then, which forces the txs to operate at slight odd frequencies on reduced power. Power tolerance of the Swiss made Brown Boverie Cie rxs seem very wide. All VoKOR transmissions are now on even x.00 frequency, much improved against main power suffer in winter season. Newly selected VoKOR frequencies - mostly in-band frequencies - suffer much by co-channel QRM here in central Europe: 15245 French 1600, by DW Bosnian from Sines-POR, 250 kW powerhouse. 13760 French 1600, by CRI Kashi English, 500 kW powerhouse. 12015 German 1600, by RMI / DTK Juelich, Radio Minivan to Maldives. [HCDX] 4780 RTD Djibouti on air today March 18th.
DJIBOUTI 4780 Thanks to a tip of Thorsten Hallmann in Austrian news group A-DX of 1736 UT, RTD Djibouti is back on 4780 kHz TB tonight. Scheduled 0300-2000 [Fris- 2200 only, acc to WRTH 2005, but RTD left the air at 2000 UT today - even now we have Friday tonight ! ] Signal is m u c h disturbed in southern Germany by an UNKNOWN UTE signal nearby, so no reliable MP3 recording could be made yet. Monitored around 1800-2000 UT. Bad reception released on both, Kenwood and Sony rxs, even in SYNC mode. AOR 7030 set used in SYNC lowerband flank mode at around 4779.6 kHz and set Pass Band Shift to plus 2.1 kHz, in order to listen in an agreeable sound. 50 kW tropical band tx and a MW tx on 1116 kHz is a gift of US propaganda organization BBG-IBB to Djibouti in return: was supposed to have been built by IBB as part of the deal to establish the 1431 Radio Sawa station [US 600 kW super power propaganda station to SDN, ETH, ERI, audience wb.] - see Chris Greenway's mail below. Existing tropical band antenna has been refurbished already. Envisaged final opening date was May 2004, but postphoned to March 2005 lately. [HCDX] B04 KRE changes from Jan 1, 2005
KOREA D.P.R. Though tx site built up on a former submarine harbour base (WW II British? or Japanese?). [HCDX] Re: [Cumbre DX] Croatia 5031
Jari, that's an instersting observation. In the past we had always noted the formula 6165 minus 1125 kHz, latter frequency of Deanovec MW site. Your observation - I guess - shows, that severe damage or main power line / antenna failure occured last week in Croatia during bad hurricane weather. See below. So, the 1134 kHz Zadar tx is replaced by a Deanovec Zagreb MW outlet on same channel, to overcome the dificulties at the Zadar coast line. Another mixture should occur symmetrically on 7299 kHz too. 73 wb From mwdx NL: CROATIA Croatia 1134 kHz off. Croatian tx on 1134 kHz is off already since last week. I expected a short failure or maintenance only so I did not report it. Now when I did it, the tx surely goes on the air very soon, HI (Sod's Law) ... (Karel Honzik-CZE, mwdx Nov 23) Damage on Croatian coast. Karel, Maybe antenna damage or main power failure occured at Zadar site last week? Heavy like tropical storms and much rainfall reports from that area have been seen on tv widely. (wb, mwdx Nov 23) - Original Message - From: Jari Savolainen [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, November 24, 2004 11:14 AM Subject: [Cumbre DX] Croatia 5031 Hrvatski Radio, Croatia, mixing product on 5040 (6165-1125=5040) is regularly heard in Europe. On 23 Nov around 2130 there was a mix of two programs on 5031. They were parallels of 6165 and 1134. Calculating 6165-1134=5031. The mw 1134 is listed as Zadar, while 1125 and 6165 are Deanovac. So how can this kind of mixing product appear with transmitters not co-located?. Am I missing something? The 5031 mix was also heard in the Netherlands by Mark Veldhuis. 5040 mix was not audible at that time. 73 Jari Savolainen-FIN ---[Start Commercial]- World Radio TV Handbook 2005 is coming out.
