Hello there,

I'm clearly hearing Voice of Vietnam broadcasting in French on 9730 right
now. Talking about the history of relationship with Cuba and Castro.
Well, QRM from CRI broadcasting continuous music on the same frequency, but
with some AM sync I can pull them off.

Re: [HCDX] Voice of Vietnam

2021-08-03 Thread Paul B. Walker, Jr.
They’ve been waivwring between 12019 and 12020 for years

If you send them a reception report for 10219 they’ll QSL that. If you
send them a reception report for 12020 they’ll QSL that.

They’ll QSL 12019 and 12020 for the same broadcast based on reports from
two different people .

I’m not sure if anyone has ever gotten an exact measurement.

Subject: [HCDX] Voice of Vietnam 9730 kHz spurs

Don't know if it's a new thing, but Voice of Vietnam at the moment is
producing qute a few spurs from nominal 9730 kHz (2130-2200 in English).

Every 8 kHz there is almost same level signal - from 9698 to 9762 kHz.
Best Regards,

Re: [HCDX] Voice of Vietnam 9730 & 7280

2018-08-04 Thread Arthur Delibert
Actually, I was marveling at their precision, as each new segment started
within about one second of the appointed time. Not quite so good as China on
9820 – it signs off at 1100 each day. Of the usual 5+1 time beeps from China,
I hear the 5, but then the xmtr is gone before the +1.

VOV's programs are all about 27 1/2 minutes long and many times.. the frequency
will roll on for an hour or two with different languages.. on the WHR
Transmitter that does english spanish english spanish at utc on 7315,
theres a bit of dead air at the end of the show, WHR fills with some PSA's then
the next program starts... but don't expect a VOV program to go smoothly, it
almost never does. I like them, but there's almost always some technical
glitch. One time an english slot was german for the first 5 minutes, another
time there were constant audio drop outs

Has anyone seen their A17 schedule? Can you share it?
Are they bringing back broadcasts from Woofferton?
They had one broadcast listed, 9550khz to Africa and the Middle East,
listed for both spring and winter broadcasts season last year that I
never heard and I think several of their listeners never reported hearing
