Re: [Hardhats-members] IP address outside VA

2005-02-20 Thread Nancy Anthracite
This apparently has to do with encryption. I bet we are going to have to
figure out where to put our public and private keys to work this or how to
make a server or subscribe to one. I wonder if Verisign, however you spell
it, can handle this for users, for a fee I am sure.

Kevin, it may be that your CPRS solution will be the best for us afterall.
Yours can be used with tunneling to provide similar security.

[Hardhats-members] IP address outside VA

2005-02-20 Thread Thurman Pedigo
I notice IP addresses populated in the installed VistA applications I have
been working with. Do they have any function? Should they match the IP
address for the host server on which VistA is installed?

Example below (from Kernel PKI):

  Kernel PKI edit
   DOMAIN: VISTA.WORKDOC.COM

This field holds one to three IP addresses for the PKI servers for this
site. Each IP address is separated by comas.
Example: 10.6.21.12,PKI.fo-oakland.med.va.gov

Re: [Hardhats-members] Patient access to medical records.

2005-02-20 Thread Anna Joseph
This means that there is no way that i can have a patient run CPRS?
Don't you think it would be fine if a patient could be given an Access code
and Verify code. This could then open-up CPRS with only that patient's
record. That is, it will not have the first popup screen where you select
the patient. and obviously it need be read only probably only the reports
tab! Guess this may call for some alteraltion of the CPRS code! But I was
thinking of this as a possibility?

Re: [Hardhats-members] Unable to access providers

2005-02-20 Thread Nancy Anthracite
By changing that value you are only telling GTM where to look for the global
directory and since it isn't there, I assume it has somehow been deleted. I
do not know how to recreate one and since I think you risk loosing all of
your work if you try it, I would make a backup of the mumps.dat file before
you do. If you look at the install script that you used, the mupip commands
will probably indicate the proper parameters for the mumps.gld and I am
hoping that you will be able to recreate the file. However, the smartest
thing is probably to hope that Bhaskar can bail you out.

It is a holiday weekend here, so there is no telling when Bhaskar will next
read the email.

Re: [Hardhats-members] Debugging a print template...

2005-02-20 Thread Greg Kreis
One thing you can do is try to see why the Sort By specifications are
stopping the records from printing. Try reduced sort specs with an
adhoc print (the print option in FM). Instead of
[EMAIL PROTECTED],[EMAIL PROTECTED];S1,[EMAIL PROTECTED], try using only 1212 and the range from First to
Last that you tried. If that shows records, add the 1202 sort level,
within1212. Maybe the First to Last range values are the problem? Does
that makes sense?

Kevin Toppenberg wrote:
Hey all,

I found menu options:
TIU STATISTICAL REPORTS --> TIU DS LINE COUNT BY
AUTHOR (and there are BY TRANSCR, and BY SERVICE as
well)
When when I run the report, it comes up empty (i.e. no
records to print out.)

So I am trying to understand the process..
The menu option TIU DS LINE COUNT BY AUTHOR shows
this:

Global Reference [DIC{DIP}]: TIU(8925,

This seems to use the print template: TIU PRINT AUTHOR

Here is a inquiry of that template:
-

It looks like this print routine uses the M file
TIUSTA.m
The first line of that file looks like this:
TIUSTA ; GENERATED FROM 'TIU PRINT AUTHOR STATS'
PRINT TEMPLATE (#1116) ; 03/03/04 ; (FILE 8925,
MARGIN=132)

Which makes me think the file was automatically
generated.
I haven't yet figured how all this fits together.
1. Any ideas right off why I don't get any records to
show when I run this report. I have documents in the
system with the transcriptionsist specified in the
appropriate field.
2. Where would this system be documentated?
Thanks
Kevin

Hi
I tried to create a new global directory by changing the gtmgbldir variable
(as specified in the page 17 of Guide). But GTM seems to refer to the older
value only (ie /usr/local/OpenVistA/g/mumps.gld).
I have no idea of the way to change that value.

Re: [Hardhats-members] Unable to access providers

2005-02-20 Thread Nancy Anthracite
Look at page 17 of that Admin and Operations Guide (page 34 of the pdf file)
I sent you. The original setting of gtmgbldir as mumps.gld was probably
correct. We should get Bhaskar to confirm that, but maybe that guide will
help. Anyway, if I am correct, that would explain the error. Now the big
question is what happened to your mumps.gld?

Re: [Hardhats-members] Unable to access providers

2005-02-20 Thread Usha Kiran
Now I got to know what is the difference between a dat and a gld file. I was
under the impression that both the files are the same and can be used
interchangeably.
So I changed the value of $gtmgbldir to point to the gld file in /usr/local.
It seems to have worked fine, except that on running the following command
to take the backup, the following message was displayed. Is my file corrupt
or something?

[EMAIL PROTECTED] vista]$ /usr/local/gtm/mupip
backup -incremental -transaction=1 "/home/vista/OpenVistA/g/mumps.dat"
/home/vista/OpenVistA/backup/
33 exceeds maximum REGION name length of 16 characters.

MUPIP cannot start backup with above errors

%GTM-E-MUNOACTION, MUPIP unable to perform requested action

Re: [Hardhats-members] Unable to access providers

2005-02-20 Thread Usha Kiran
I will answer your questions one by ne
1 The value of $gtmgbldir is "/home/vista/OpenVistA/g/mumps.dat" (The
original value was "/home/vista/OpenVistA/g/mumps.gld")
2 For installing VistA on GTM, the tar file is unzipped into /usr/local
directory, as root. Then execute the command
"/usr/local/OpenVistA/vista --install /home/vista/OpenVistA"
3 The value of $ZGBLDIR is "/usr/local/OpenVistA/g/mumps.gld"

Is there any problem in the way I install or am I missing something?

[Hardhats-members] Debugging a print template...

2005-02-20 Thread Kevin Toppenberg
Hey all,

I need a routine that shows me the number of lines
that a transcriptionist has typed. Should be a
standard problem that has already been solved.

The menu option TIU DS LINE COUNT BY AUTHOR shows
this:

Global Reference [DIC{DIP}]: TIU(8925,
Device [IOP]:
Print fields [FLDS]: [TIU PRINT AUTHOR STATS]

Sort by Fields [BY]: [EMAIL PROTECTED],[EMAIL PROTECTED];S1,[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Start With Values [FR]: ?,,?
Go To Values [TO]: ?,,?

Prompt String [L.]: 0
Header [DHD]: Ask
For Header [DIASKHD]:

Number of Copies [DCOPIES]: 1Sort Criteria in
Header [DIPCRIT]:
  Supress "No Records..." [DISUPNO]: Starting
Page Number [PG]: 1

---

This seems to use the print template: TIU PRINT AUTHOR
STATS.

Here is a inquiry of that template:
-

NUMBER: 1116NAME: TIU
PRINT AUTHOR STATS
DATE CREATED: APR 18, [EMAIL PROTECTED]:31 READ ACCESS: @
  FILE: TIU DOCUMENTWRITE ACCESS:
@
DATE LAST USED: FEB 20, 2005 ROUTINE
INVOKED: ^TIUSTA
  PREVIOUS ROUTINE INVOKED: TIUSTA
HEADER (c): [TIU PRINT AUTHOR STATS HEADER]
FIRST PRINT FIELD: TIU NAME FORMAT("LAST,FI
MI",AUTHOR);N;L15;"Author"//
THEN PRINT FIELD: LINE COUNT;C17;R8;"Line Count"+//
THEN PRINT FIELD: DATE(REFERENCE DATE);L11;C28;"Ref
Date";d//
THEN PRINT FIELD: TIU NAME FORMAT("LAST,FI
MI",PATIENT);L15;C42;"Patient"//
THEN PRINT FIELD: XUWORKDAY(DICTATION DATE,EPISODE END
DATE/TIME);C59;R3;"Disch-
Dict";;+//
THEN PRINT FIELD: XUWORKDAY(ENTRY DATE,DICTATION
DATE);C75;R3;"Dict-Transcr";;+/
/
THEN PRINT FIELD: XUWORKDAY(SIGNATURE DATE,ENTRY
DATE);C90;R3;"Transcr-Sign";;+/
/
THEN PRINT FIELD: XUWORKDAY(COSIGNATURE DATE,SIGNATURE
DATE);C105;R3;"Sign-Cosig
n";;+//
THEN PRINT FIELD: DOCUMENT TYPE;C120;L8;X//
  COMPILED (c): YES

---

It looks like this print routine uses the M file
TIUSTA.m

The first line of that file looks like this:

TIUSTA ; GENERATED FROM 'TIU PRINT AUTHOR STATS'
PRINT TEMPLATE (#1116) ; 03/03/04 ; (FILE 8925,
MARGIN=132)

Which makes me think the file was automatically
generated.

I haven't yet figured how all this fits together.

1. Any ideas right off why I don't get any records to
show when I run this report. I have documents in the
system with the transcriptionsist specified in the
appropriate field.

2. Where would this system be documentated?

Thanks
Kevin

[Hardhats-members] Introducing OpenVistA SemiVivA FOIA Gold 20050212

2005-02-20 Thread K. S. Bhaskar
OpenVistA SemiVivA FOIA Gold 20050212 is the SemiVivA package of the
"gold standard" FOIA VistA released on February 12, 2005. Effective
this release, the numbering system for OpenVistA FOIA Gold releases is
being changed from 0.1, 0.2, ... to reflect the date on which the VistA
software is released on the FTP site of the US Department of Veterans
Affairs.

Please note that the distribution file is incorrectly named
OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.iso, when it should have been named
OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.tgz. As a practical matter, the file
name does not matter.

To use the software on an x86 GNU/Linux system, as root, assuming that
the software is /Distrib/OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.iso:

  cd /usr/local
  tar zxvf /Distrib/OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.iso
Thereafter, to use it, as a normal user, type:
  /usr/local/OpenVistA/vista
Note that this script expects the Xdialog to be installed (neither GT.M
nor VistA require it; only the script /usr/local/OpenVistA/vista). If
it is not installed, you can download Xdialog from http://xdialog.dyns.net.

Dr. Bones;

What kind of GUI are you looking for, for what aspect? There is
development work going on this next week in the Salt Lake City area. Are
you looking for web-based, or Delphi, or VB?

Best wishes; Chris
