[Hardhats-members] Help for Getting started with CPRS
Hi All, I have installed Open Vista and could able to connect to CPRS. Iam unable to find any patient records to select. May be the database is empty. Can some one help me in entering new patient records and other master records from CPRS GUI so that I cannavigate through the complete module. Thanks Raghu.

Re: [Hardhats-members] Help for Getting started with CPRS
You have to do that from roll and scroll'. The option is DG REGISTER PATIENT. Add DG REGISTER PATIENT as a primary menu for a registration clerk or a secondary menu for another user. Then use the option ALL THE KEYS to determine what keys that user needs to be assigned to use that menu. Then your user will be able to register a patient (I hope, anyway!) Re: [Hardhats-members] Help for Getting started with CPRS
Nancy - I thought the DR Register Patient option tries to contact the MPI in Austin and will therefore hang? I have run into this before and had to control-c the process before it gets to the MPI call (patient is still added). Really kludgy I know, but I just needed a patient to test with. --Marc

What file contains that data? I would like to get to the file to see how the formatted/stored data looks. But once it is used to create a note, it all becomes plain text. So values in template fields are stored as plain text in the note. But you can do searches for the text in a note, so you could perhaps still do reports with a bit of programming. I.e. do a search for a match of the template, pull up the note and subtract the template text, and what is left over is the user data.
