[H] Wiring question ATX

2007-12-22 Thread Robert Martin Jr.
I have a small P3 embedded motherboard that didn't come with the power adapter.
How would you wire an ATX power supply to connect to this? Any help appreciated.

No rush, I want to build a small asterisk PBX box with this board but can't
start without a power connector. Thanks Happy Holidays!

I did e-mail the board maker in Taiwan to see if they could provide the
connector, but need a backup plan if the answer is no ;)

Re: [H] Thumb/Flash Drive Recommendation

2007-12-22 Thread Tharin Olsen
Actually they have flash drives that are 8gb-16gb in capacity and still have
the small form factor you'd expect a thumb drive to be. I think Kanguru has a
32gb model but physically it is a bit larger than a normal thumb drive.

Tharin O.,
I am now GB'd into oblivion. Everything seems to be GB related.
I can deal with this. Just wondering with which data block I want
to use for now. Odd this current world is.
I am still having trouble with the interfaces that seem to be going
away. But, that is just perhaps me.

Re: [H] Wiring question ATX

2007-12-22 Thread Robert Martin Jr.
I'm not sure how the loads will be but all components are built into the board.
There is an eisa slot but it won't be used. Used onboard outputs will be
ethernet, VGA, mouse/kbd (during initial config - but will be removed once PBX
is configured and everything will be web or console configured after that). So
basically the machine will be using ethernet and will be running a small laptop
or solid state 2.5 drive.

Re: [H] Decent system?

just built this same MB with a 6000 a64 x2, rosewill 600 watt and a nForce
7300gt, 2 gig crucial ballistix and two 160gb Seagate drives. ( business box )
samsung dvd burner. all sata drives.
System runs really good

My first Gigabyte mb. My only complaints ( minor ) do not like the plastic
clips holding the cpu retention bracket to the MB and had to use a FDD to flash
the bios, did not recognize the USB drive even though the book says it does.

Nice system
