I've used it to mount 27-receptacle vertical (0U) monitored PDUs. Very
strong. I used about 3 10" strips per PDU, and it was really overkill.

A lot of times I just use foam tape (remember, nothing is moving inside).

These are some decent adapters, that let you put two 2.5" in one 3.5" space

No. I had not thought of that, yet. That may be the way I go.
I did try the 4 6-32 screws the fixed the old 160GB EMD in place.
Guess what? none of them will fit the Samsung threads! More study for sure.
