Wow, I wonder if that unit was glitched out. OK< thanks for the info,
I can keep my eyes open. I had some weird issues also but they were
resolved with a little tweaking and a firmware update. Nothing along
your lines though - and thank god.

The point here is that SMART diag info should work just as well. If a
drive doesn't have SMART then I would be happy to run some other diag.
However, if the drive has SMART it should suffice.

And this was T's point. As I have also seen if it ain't Dell HDD
diagnostics it ain't shit to them. Flow charts for EVERYBODY!

Yeah and Dell ain;t the only India lusers... I recently got sent to
India on a Sonicwall (Firewall appliance for those that don't know)
issue. I faithfully listened and ended up with a completely bricked
device. I was so pissed. Finally, I got an American and after I
explained my deal and that I did not want to deal with India again -
he told me I can request American support and I will get it. Yay.
