[ha-Safran]: Convention Blog!
The blog of the 2009 AJL Convention is now available at http://ajl09.posterous.com/. Whether you'll be attending the convention or not, the blog is a great place to see what's going on, learn from the event, and share thoughts. Many members of AJL's Council and Committees will be posting to the blog, and everyone is welcome to add their own comments. You can subscribe to the blog by email if you register (for free) at http://posterous.com/main/register?flow=subscribe. It'll ask you to create your own free Posterous blog as you sign up. Don't worry, if you don't want a blog you'll never have to use it, it's just part of the sign up process. Alternatively, you can subscribe by RSS, or you can simply visit the blog website at http://ajl09.posterous.com whenever you like, without signing up for anything at all. Looking forward to a great convention in Chicago! [ha-Safran]: Convention Blog Still Lives
Hi everyone, Please be aware that the convention blog has not completely closed up shop just because the convention is over. For a while we will continue to post some follow up information, and I am also hoping for a few more phonecast calls from folks who did not get a chance to do it during convention - it will be nice to hear some post-convention impressions. By the way, if YOU want to participate in the phonecast and I did not give you instructions in Scottsdale, email me and I'll tell you how - it's easy. Thanks again to everyone who helped make it such a great experience! Heidi Estrin [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Colleagues, I hated to miss convention but a bat mitzvah in the family took precendence. So I checked the blog in the morning and in the evening and listened to the podcast daily. Sheryl, Heidi et. al. did a wonderful job of summarizing sessions, describing author events and conveying the flavor of the gathering. Hearing the voices via podcast makes the conference come alive. I look forward to seeing more pictures from convention. Congratulations to all involved in moving AJL toward Library 2.0 (with or without technical frustrations!) Congratulations also to all the members who worked so hard to create another wonderful convention. Merrily F. Hart Librarian Siegal College Cleveland, OH 216-464-4050 x132

Thanks, Sheryl & Heidi, for your lively descriptions and many photos of sessions, people and events at convention. I hated to miss the convention -- only the second time in 25 years that I didn't attend -- so I was especially appreciative of every word. We just need more people to post news -- maybe we'll all be better at it by next year! Are there more pictures from convention ? Perhaps they could be posted on the blog or on our website to encourage and inform stay-at-homes. I look forward to reading the Proceedings online. I must admit I planned to put this message on the blog but no matter what personna I chose it refused to accept me. I guess I'll have to work on my blogging skills a little more.
