[ha-Safran]: Todah Rabbah

2010-11-02 Thread Amalia Warshenbrot
I am sure that I am speaking on behalf of all my colleagues. I was
sorry to read that Linda Silver and Nancy Sack will no longer add
their magic touch to AJL newsletter. I know for sure that they
devoted more hours than we can imagine to their work. Nancy did not
let any little mistake escape her and Linda's reviews could not be
any better. When I saw her name on a review I knew that I can trust
it. When I turned to her or to Nancy for help they responded
immediately. Thankfully each one of them will still be with us
other wearing their other hats.

Many thanks to the people who generously shared their feedback on
Maggie Anton's presentations, all which were favourable!

[ha-Safran]: Todah Rabbah to the Safranim who answered my request

2007-11-02 Thread Ben Pastcan
Shalom my fellow colleagues,

Thank you again to the librarians who took the time out of
their busy day to reply to me with a few sources about Ashkenazi and
Sephardic immigration to the United States. This historical
knowledge will really be a "feather in my cap" when I help facilitate
a book discussion with adults this Friday on Emma Lazarus. I am
really glad that I entered such a kind and helping profession such as
librarianship. It only took less than 48 hours and I received a few
replies by e-mail. Thanks again and have a great Jewish book month
at your library!

2007-08-12 Thread Shfirsch
Thank you very much to the librarians who answered me with
suggestions of poetry books in English by Jewish writers with Jewish
content. I knew I could count on Hasafran. The organizational
meeting for the Poetry Reading Group will be on August 22 and I am
hoping it will be a go. If anyone else is interested in the list let
me know and I will post it.

2007-01-04 Thread Shmuel Ben-Gad
I would like to thank all those who weighed in on my question
concerning to keep or not to keep the first edition of the
Encyclopaedia Judaica. Most counselled to keep it.
