I realize this isn't technically the proper place to post this, but I'm
doing it anyways. Got this PM today on steam

These guys being the retards they are didn't even bother trying to cover it
up very well. Their steam id page (
http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197995397387) shows them as mygot
douchebags. Valve should just ban the entire clan rosters steam accounts for
these idiots.

Anyways, do with this what you will.

Maybe one of those Steam update notifications is in order (the ones that
talk about new games and releases and stuff) with a big ol' reminder
about Valve's policy.

Re: [hlcoders] Steam account phishing

2007-12-31 Thread Nick
I am going to try to get rid of these phishers and have their accounts
banned. I will need further evidence to uncover exactly who has done
this. If you could, please send me your account name, and phone number
( for further contact), and your password. Hopefully together we can
get rid of these lamers once and for all.

If you think that's bad.. there's some dude that's selling steam accounts
and routinely creating new VAC proof hacks
http://www.asdfhacks.com/main/

Yea, this crap has been going on since day one.. but things would be A LOT
worse if VAC wasn't in place. I remember the days before VAC existed... it
was like the wild, wild west.

Oh, can I send you my bank account and credit card numbers also? And you
definitely need my SSN, I don't think we can get rid of these phishers
unless I send you all of that...

Someone should create an addon for mod developers that bans these
peoples steam id's from joining servers on the specified mod -- modder
based ban lists :
